Are you bringing FLat Rosie to Fockerfest:cool1:
I am :rotfl2:

I kind of forgot that Sunday is Father's Day, so I'd best do something about that. Yikes.
I was going to ask if it was this Sunday, ours is too! I've bought David 2 big Toblerones, one normal one fruit and nut and a Wii game!

So, D went and got us a car, as well, and then we all set off for Monaco.
OMG you drove to Monaco :eek: I went there by coach and the drivers are loonies :rotfl2: Sounds like a lovely day and I love your smilie photo :goodvibes

I thought I was going to have to go get the kids early today b/c B was crying last night and wanted to come home. But now this morning she wants to stay and come home tomorrow like we planned. :confused3
Do you think it was after what happened last night? Glad she's fine now :goodvibes

I have a question- I'm having some mom guilt. (What's new?) MY FIL gave one of our kids (B) a savings bond every month for a few years. He never did the other two kids for some reason. :confused3 Would it be wrong of me to cash them out and put them in B's account so she could use some of the money on the 9 costumes she needs for dance this fall? FIL never said what it was for, so I am thinking we can use it when we feel it would benefit her. We let her try-out for the team knowing it was very expensive, but figuring we'll scrape up the money. We still can, but now I'm having surgery and that will be a lot out of pocket. I feel so bad about "using" her own money, but is that silly? :confused3 :worried:
OK if it was me I would cash them in but split the money equally between all 3 kids, then use B's share towards her dance stuff and bank the other 2's but use that for similar things in the future! My girls have something similar but they could win money a bit like a lottery too, if one of them wins we always divide it between them!

She said she was upset because my nephew was being so mean to grandma. Apparently he was being a pain. Mom also said she thinks B's really upset about me and how I feel. :( I know she's really sensitive and she just started her cycle, so that doesn't help, I'm sure. Poor thing.

I never thought about that... I don't know. That might make me feel worse that I "took" B's money. :confused3 I just don't get why he's doing for one and not the others. I always thought he'd add them too, but he never did. Now he doesn't work there and he hasn't done them in a few years. He's been fair all the other times, though. It must be a first grandchild thing? :confused3

CE - thanks for sharing the photos and your trip. Love it all.

Glad she decided to stay. DS is begging to go to SC for a week. Dh doesn't want to let him go.

I don't think there is a wrong choice here. Whatever you think the money should go toward - now or later. I would probably tell B about the money, though and let her feel she was in on the decision making.
A DRESS CODE for GAMBLING ?? You are kidding .. right...?

I can just hear my conversation with the "Bouncer's"...

" Oh I am so sorry I am just a stupid American Tourist with $1,000.00 in my wallet that I WILL BE LOSING BTW, because I am terrible at gambling. Why is my "Mickey Mouse" T-shirt not good enough ?? I left my Tiara and evening gown in the hotel.. As I needed them clean for tonight's dinner gala with Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin ":lmao:
:rotfl:
I was going to ask if it was this Sunday, ours is too! I've bought David 2 big Toblerones, one normal one fruit and nut and a Wii game!

I let Mr Diz pick something out at SWW. He picked a limited edition 500 DarthMaul Donald watch. Should I go buy him something little, so he at least has something on Sunday? I did get a card.

You could look at it the other way that you're taking money from the other two as he didn't do them :confused:

When my sister and I were younger we had a rather eccentric Aunt, each Birthday it was a huge surprise to what we'd get. One year I'd get £50 and Em £10, sometimes I'd get mine on the 22nd of Feb and Em her's on 1st Nov (our Birthdays are 1st Feb and 22nd Nov :rotfl2: ) so we soon decided to just equally split whatever we received as we knew she didn't mean to treat us differently. I'm sure your FIL wouldn't want to treat yours differently. But at the end of the day you have to do what you feel best :goodvibes

You are so much nicer than my sister and I were. I would have taken the 50 and ran.

I really want to do a TR, but I'm not because of the time factor. I can't even keep up with all of your TRs..............

So I am going to reveal the celebrity. I just pulled my photos up on the computer and you can't even tell who it is.

So I'll give you a hint.

Think about Baby Girl's favorite song that she always requests when we are in the car. If you read my 2 TRs, you know what I'm talking about.

I'll post the photo in a minute. It is still uploading into Photobucket.

Any guesses?

Dawn: WE have the same problem here. My inlaws treat my youngest like he's not even part of our family sometimes! Makes me so mad I could scream! My opinion is that you use the money for whatever B needs. If you want to do something for the others, I would take the remainder (if there is some) and use it to purchase UP in some new bonds. ( i.e. You pay only 25 dollars for a series EE bond that's eventually worth 50$) Then you can acutally invest in them with only 1/2 the money.

In the meantime, you should go to this site. I use it for my boys' bonds. You download the wizard and then enter the serial #'s from your bonds. The wizard will tell you what they are worth as of today.

CE - I'm loving the pics and tales from Nice!

I have that same shirt - isnt' it sooooo comfy? :cloud9:

Thanks, and yes! I love it!

I like this idea of Jo's, Dawn. :confused3 Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you. I always had savings bonds from my grandparents, but I hung onto them and used a bunch of them to pay for wedding stuff. ;) I was an only child, though, so I don't know what's "fair" here.

CE - thanks for sharing the photos and your trip. Love it all.

Thanks!

I know these are cruddy pics, but I did the best that I could. Mr Diz took the first one - it's the guy with his back to us.

Beautiful!
We stopped into the Cathedral (where Princess Grace is buried...)
IMG_1942.jpg
Did you go in? There were flowers on her grave when we went.

We then drove around the bay and into Monte Carlo. The Grand Prix had been the previous weekend, so they were taking down the stands:

We were there during the race so we got to walk through the pits. DH is a big F1 fan but for some reason he won't go back with me! :rolleyes1

A DRESS CODE for GAMBLING ?? You are kidding .. right...?

Not in Monaco. You must dress.

Cute photos of the girls, Jo.

Happy anniversary, birthday, upcoming trip, last day of class and anything else I forgot. :goodvibes

DNephew is having his 1st birthday party Sunday, his actual b'day is Wednesday, so I'll post some cake photos.

Should I go buy him something little, so he at least has something on Sunday? I did get a card.
Maybe just his favourite chocolate or wine :confused3 There again it's meant to be from the kids :rotfl2:

You are so much nicer than my sister and I were. I would have taken the 50 and ran.
Yeah but then she'd have done the same to me :rotfl2:

Haven't a clue, any hints :confused:

When did you go? Did you visit any other Countries?

doing anything special (like Kate!) but we are going to have dinner next week at Artist Point... So, that will be nice.

Happy Anniversary Mel!!! :hug: And Mr. Mel!

Look what I've bought, I ordered them a few days ago as they were BOGOF so a good deal, they came today but these are a printscreen from the website!

So cute Jo!

It doesn't matter to me, but her crying really upset me and now I'm worried she'll be upset again tonight. :worried:

:hug:

(I have time before D's ready to go work out.)

Thanks for posting those! Gorgeous pics!!!!

Am I close?!

Maybe...:rolleyes1

I feel so bad about "using" her own money, but is that silly? :confused3 :worried:

I would let her give you some input. She's old enough to understand the cost involved in activities like that. I don't think it's unreasonable AT ALL to expect her to contribute. This could be that way.

Ummmmm...is it that guy from N Sync? That's who it looks like.

Dawn - Just remmebr if you cash in the bonds you have to claim them on your taxes, unless you use them for educational purposes!

Miz - No clue:confused3

CE - Thanks for the new update. Monaco looks gorgeous. Somplace I ahve always wanted to go. Princess Grace is a local girl. She grew up anout 1 mile from where I live now.! Prince Albert is here ALL the time for different events. He was here a couple of months ago dedicating a new boathouse on Boathouse Row named after the Kelly family. The Kelly's were/are huge here in Philly, his uncle won an olympic medal for rowing::yes::

Hi V and Jen 2:goodvibes

Mel - Got your PM, check you email:thumbsup2

Who'd I miss:confused3 :hug:

Just back from the mall. Picked up a birthday gift for a birthday party we have on Sunday and a transformer for Jimmy for his "graduation" present. Off to clean my 1st floor now. Have a good day all!

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!

Yes, it is that guy from NSync --- Joey Fatone! BabyGirl's fave song is "Bye Bye Bye"

Here is a funny story - We were standing in line to see Princess Minnie at the PPP, when mr diz saw him. THey were taking him in through the exit to cut the line. The two guys behind us saw him, too. So mr diz and 1 of the guys stood at the exit, waiting to get a pic, but couldn't.

Later, we saw him in the VIP seating area for the parade. We could not get close enough to get a good pic.

Anyway, two days later, at the pool, these 2 little girls (about 10 or 12) are screaming from the edge of the pool to their family, "We got his autograph! We got his autograph!" They were soooo excited. So I asked them whose autograph they got - thinking it was Joey or some other star. They said it was a CM they thought was cute. :rotfl:

Oh my bunch of chatty patties here!

Love the pics Jo,

Kate - you have one heck of a DH

T - feel better and good luck with the externship

Dawn - hope you are feeling better

Jen - already read the update:thumbsup2

Janet - I bet June 27, got a feeling

CE - love the pics and the trip report

Everyone else Hi!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Haven't been as busy at work but have been getting ready for my garage sale each night. I am taking tomorrow off to get everything ready. I have already gotten responses to my ad on Craigslist and people asking if they can come tomorrow to get first dibs on stuff. I almost feel as though I need to be set up and ready to go tomorrow:eek:
I got a great witch poo story, really shows her true colors...
Yesterday I was taking a webinar (a seminar but over the web) from 11:30 -1. We had a important client conference call at 1, I mentioned I may be a few minutes late to call in if the webinar ran over (it was for my new job so she wasn't invited). About an hour later she wants to postpone the client meeting because I may be a few minutes late. Um, that makes no sense. Next thing I know the client meeting is postponed to next week. I am thinking is she really that insecure that she doesn't want to go for 5 minutes (maybe) by herself.
The real reason she canceled, she went and met a friend for lunch and didn't want to rush back for the 1pm meeting!!!!!! She put her lunch plans ahead of the client!!!!!!!!:mad:
OMG I just keep telling myself there is the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!!
OMGosh, OMGosh! I had a message saying they have a new date for me for my surgery!!! I left a message for her to call me back! I'm so happy! I'm shaking! :hyper:
Now I'm going to catch up!
