I've had a hard time doing the flex plan...core worked great for me. Lost 20 lbs last year doing that. I never felt like there was stuff I couldn't have and I could have as much as I wanted (therein lies the problem though!). I went on blood pressure medication in December and within just a few months I'd gained 11 lbs...
I was checking out WW last night online. I thought the Flex plan wouldn't work for me either... I hate counting points. :headache:

They really don't each much so maybe you don't need to be concerned. I read somewhere that if you feed them every day you're actually spoiling them. The book said that every other day or every two days you should give them 3-4 pellets of their food, so maybe you don't need to worry.

We have a Betta and he's about 5-1/2 years old now. (I don't listen to the book though and feed him every day)

He is THE strangest fish you've ever seen...wags his back end like a dog and gets all excited when you pay attention to him. All you have to do is say "Hello" in a really silly high-pitched voice and he goes crazy! If you stick your finger in his bowl he'd swim up and rub his back against it.

He lays flat on his side at the bottom of his bowl a lot - looking like he's acting like a dog - half the time he looks dead.:rolleyes:

And he's well-traveled...goes on road trips when we can't find a "fish-sitter"...he sits in the cup holder in a spaghetti sauce jar with holes poked in the top!

And Angel's a really weird looking fish too - he's purple and pink but in the last 6 or 8 months he's been turning a really funky blue color. Old age?:confused3

I don't know much about these fish except this one won't die...we forgot him once and left him home and went away for 9 days...boy was he glad to see us when we got home!!:lmao:

I sure do miss having a dog though...:guilty: Ours died a year and a half ago and I still miss him dearly. Hopefully we'll get another one after we move. Strange as it sounds, puppy-breath is one of my favorite smells:rolleyes:
SOunds like the perfect pet for us. Our gold fish died 2 years ago and Maddie still tears up when she see his empty bowl in the cupboard. :rolleyes:

Happy Fourth July to all my Favorite Americans!
Thanks Jo! Ditto to all you FOCKERS, Brits included. ;)

Tomorrow we're off to the MIL's for the weekend (well I'll pick David up from work and we won't get there till about 5pm) as it's her 70th birthday. I just hate that we're expected to go there but the last time they came here was over 2 years ago. It's only a 2 hour trip and they're both retired :headache: Also we have to pay for our own meal at her party :rotfl2: Oh and we all chip in to pay for her and FIL's meals too :sad2: Oh well!!!!
:rotfl2: Sounds like my family.... my brother invited us to Medieval Times for DNephews birthday, and then reminded me that we had to pay for ourselves. WTH?? :confused: :sad2:

I am really missing Disney World and looking for a place to chat up fellow Disney lovers so hopefully I can keep up with you Chatty Cathies. I don't normally like to post in a thread without trying to catch up on it but I don't think anyone can catch up on all TFW threads that have gone on here.:rotfl:

I am trying to read through all the PTR of your planned trip. I'm just so envious of what you were able to do last year (not the meeting and swimming but the complete obliteration of the pineapple inventory of WDW:lmao:).

I have to admit that every time I go shopping if I see something lime green I totally want to buy it. I'm constantly texting pics of green dishes and shoes to a fellow poster. :rotfl2:

Happy 4th of July Fockers (including the non -Brit ones;) )

The funny thing is he is a one moose kinda dog. I bought a second one that you can see, but he only wants that original one:lmao:

Welcome, Parla! I'm Jodi. I live in Indianapolis and have two girls, ages 7 & 4. Although I'm not going on the August trip, a flat Jodi is trying to make her way to Mel in Michigan so that she can go along. My family is going to WDW in October at the same time as some other Disers (MontanaDisneyFan, LinniethePooh, camelotcats, among others).

Speaking of lime green things, since it was raining here today and we couldn't get outside, I decided to paint our bonus room over the garage. It serves as the girls' playroom. Guess what color I did it?? Yep, you guessed it - a pale lime green! I'll post pics once I get the room put back together!

pup is dreaming he's chasing a rabbit apparently---little legs moving! :lmao:

Awwww! I love it when my cat dreams and he twitches so funny to watch.

What is it about families??? My grandparents are coming in the end of July and staying with my aunt & uncle, they have no plans at all but we have to go see them, they can't come see us! It's a train ride away whichever way you go. I don't get it!

At least he has a "Faithful" and "Monogomoose" Relationship:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Happy 4th Everyone!

Today is a bust. Got a call early this morning that D & L can't make it. Ricky had a family BBQ to go to. We ordered some Chinese and have been movie watching instead. It's kinda gloomy outside anyway.

It's just as well, yesterday we got a "new" couch. WTH is "new" you ask? Someone in our building was throwing theirs away and it's a nice , clean, smell free couch in better shape that the one we had...so we swapped 'em! But lucky us got to wedge it through the elevator and the doorway, and thats not a great idea with a bad back. So I am feeling it today something fierce. I intend to wear a hole in that couch today because I need the rest.

Tomorrow we are going to see WALL-E and go to Ricky's official going away party so I'll be back on Sunday.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Bahahahahaha!!! You SO owe me a new monitor!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Awwww...it's so hard to find a one moose kinda guy in today's world.

Granted he's a dog, but it should give a glimmer of hope to society. We know men are dogs, but who knew they'd stay faithful when a younger moose is thrown their way.

Makes me feel a bit better with my 40th coming up and my mid-life crisis hubby always out driving around in a Corvette...:lmao:

I'm doing the same thing today Kat...I pawned off DS onto his dad and locked myself in the family room with 2 new movies to watch...27 dresses and Juno. 1 down and 1 to go...

Ahhhhh...so this is what peace and quiet ME time feels like!!:happytv:

Evening ladies!!!! Company left about an hour ago, Jimmyis half asleep on the couch watching blues clues and I am getting ready to go to bed. The rains held out until about 8:00 which was great!

Hope you all had a great day.

Parla - Welcome to the mad house. I'm Janet! Just jump right in and start chatting.

Kat - Sounds like a relaxing day, even though it wasn't what you originally planned.

LL - Jimmy (at 4) thinks it's a good idea for us to leave him and go to work when he doesn't want to go to school :sad2:

Mo - The pugs look like Tink when she gets a bath - NOT HAPPY!

Katt - :rotfl2: at the moose joke'

Jo - HAve fun at the inlaws

Hi T, Mel Jodi, TE, Cheri (who'd I miss?) :wave2:

I am calling mom first thing tomorrow to see if she met V tonight. Can't wait to hear.:thumbsup2

Chat with you all later!

Two great movies!!!! What did ya think of them?

We watched "Untraceable", pretty good. I'm just catching up on my crime drama on the DVR now.

My cousin used to have a dog like that. It was scary. If you weren't paying attention and got too close during his "personal time" he would try to bite you.

I used to post on what we liked to call the real longest thread and we tried not to do less than ten pages a day. That was back before they split up the long threads though. No more of that! :rotfl:

I love the idea of a Flat Jodi! We just did Flat Stanleys for my son's school a couple of years ago. So did you try to go to any fireworks? The kids kind of wanted to go downtown but I just didn't want to mess with it with the possibility of getting rained out. So instead we went to see Wall-E, had dinner and then went to see Kung Fu Panda on IMAX which cost more than my husband realized (it was his idea) and we won't be messing with IMAX anymore unless it's in 3D. :rotfl: Then we came home and watched fireworks on TV. My feeling is, once you've gone to WDW regular fireworks just aren't worth the trouble.:confused3
Hi Parla! I remember seeing you on our TR's and TFW before, no?
Hey Tracy, I did post on the last Waldo TR but I don't think I ever made it to TFW. I also posted on G-Luv's TRs.
Parla - Welcome to the mad house. I'm Janet! Just jump right in and start chatting.
Thanks for the welcome. Hope I don't chat tooooo much.:rolleyes:

Ok, totally TRASHED my WW pts for today! Sheesh. It was going great till dh says, "I don't want to deal with Fireworks traffic. See if you can talk the kids into going to a movie and mexican." Ok. So, we agree to see Hancock (LOVE Will Smith, but skip this movie if you don't want your kids hearing ALOT of swear words!!) I loved the movie, and the mexican place was closed for the 4th! We ended up at Buffalo Wild Wings. NOT low fat.

Ugh, I'm so bummed I'm going to have a glass of wine. What's 2 more points at this point?

MEL
BTW< When we got home the Fireworks at the park down the street had just started so we watched from the church across the street. Yay!!

So, I didn't even read where you were from, Parla!!!! So, I assume you're in Indy too? Where? We live in Fishers.

We ended up going to the Noblesville fireworks tonight. They were pretty bad. A few times, there were gaps of 3-5 minutes. At one point, we told the girls to get back in the car because we thought they were over and then they started back up again! It was crazy. My DH said that it was Billy Bob's fireworks company running them. I have to agree that nothing compares to Disney fireworks.

So, have you heard about the Indianapolis DISMeet scheduled for August 30th? As of now, we're planning to go, but it's the day before my birthday, so things may change.

We saw Wall-E last night at the new theatre in Noblesville (right by Verizon Music Center). Nice theatre, good movie. Haven't tried the IMAX yet though.

We are on the South side of Indy. I haven't been to Deer Creek (I'm not calling MGM anything but MGM and I can't call Deer Creek Verizon :rotfl:) in years. I think the last thing I saw was Dave Matthews about 13 years ago. Man, I'm old.

I'm just getting back into the disboards after a bad experience with our flights and strep throat on a trip I won last year. Can you say depression? So I haven't heard about any local meets.

Don't get me wrong about IMAX. The couple of 3D things I've seen there were amazing. It cost us $42 though for all four of us to see a movie we could have used the five buck club cards for and seen for $20 on a regular screen.

The downtown fireworks are actually pretty good. They coordinate them to music on Q95. They use pretty much the same music every year (a lot of patriotic stuff). We usually park on top of the parking garage attached to the jail. It doesn't get too crowded since you have to pay to park there. The only drawback is if one of the kids needs to go to the bathroom.

When I did that last year, I used a different name and my cell phone # for 1 set of ressies and my name and home phone for the other. I cancelled the one set once plans were finalized!

Thanks! I'm going to have to try this one out. At this point it's really looking like she won't be coming. :guilty:

Good point.........this week: moody teen breaking up with BF vs. Puppy that pees and chews on everything! :confused:

Yep...I'll definately will take the puppy over the teenager then, especially a girl teenager. But :hug: to her. I read where she was having a bad week.

Someone tell me I wasn't a bad mom.

Please.

Mel:banana:

:hug: Mel, you are so not a bad mom for that! Glad he got home and I had to laugh about the egg part.

My girls are 7 and 4 (going on 14). The little one is the one I worry about. DD7 has her drama queen moments, but she's not boy crazy or anything like that at all. In fact, they're watching Zack & Cody right now and just saw a kiss on the TV and she said "Gross!" DD4 has a boyfriend at preschool and says that she's going to marry him! :scared1:

UGH...my 5 year old is the same way as your 4 year old. I am soooo hoping she'll grow out of this stage by Kindy. I doubt it though knowing that she has her father's genes in her. :sad2:

Rachel joined the website I use, Fatsecret dot com. It's a great tool to use to count pts. Wanna join and be our friend? Just search for Muffinygood at the top of the page after selecting "memeber" in the search box.

MEL:banana:

I'm gonna have to check this site out. I was on the WW site a few months ago but got tired of paying the $16.95 (or whatever it is) per month.

Not in Indy but it sounds like the fireworks we watched tonight. :rotfl2:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope everyone had a good 4th of July.
We went over to my aunt's house for a cookout and then watched fireworks from her back yard. A few people down the street were putting off a few and then in the opposite direction some neighboors were doing some as well.
I took some pics but forgot to charge my camera battery and it died on me. :rolleyes: My one cousin and his wife came and had their new little baby with them. OMG...she was so cute and soooooo tiny!!! She's 2 months old and I doubt weighs more than 10 pounds. I had big chubby babies (DD was close to 10 pounds and DS was a little over 10 when born) so by 2 months old they were looking like 6 month olds. :laughing: But it was so nice holding a newborn and made me kind of miss that age. I absolutely LOVED holding her but once she got fussy it was so nice to just hand her back and let mom change the diaper or feed her or figure ot what else was wrong. Mean I know but I am so glad mine are older and independent.
