I :love: the movie Juno. I made DH watch it with me. At first he was mad because he's so against abortion and of course being a man thought he knew everything and that she would have one. In the end he actually liked the movie. I usually can tell where a movie is going but the ending actually surprised me a little and I was so happy.

DH wants to go see Hancock (so do I) and keeps asking when I'm going to have my dad watch the kids. All of our family is an hour away so it's hard to do the babysitter thing.

LL, how old is Michael? I'm new to the thread and don't know. I would have been laughing my butt off at those comments too for a little one (I'm assuming he's under ten ;)). I've certainly had my fair share of dealing with my DS(9). A couple of months ago he was going to a sleep over and I made the mistake of telling him that I would let him go since I already said he could (I hated when my mom would go back and forth and say I couldn't then ask why I wasn't leaving) but he had to get his room cleaned up or he wouldn't have another sleepover all summer. Well, after eight hours his room looked exactly the same. No, actually it looked worse. So I stormed in and said, "Forget what I said earlier. If this room isn't cleaned up in ten minutes I'm calling your friend's mom and telling her you can't come because you didn't clean your room." Voila! It was done in five. I was ticked off! :rotfl:

Wow Rachel great recap, I would've had to make notes :rotfl2:

To make a flat Rachel, take a photo of yourself, stick it onto card preferably with some kind of stick attached and cover with laminating stuff (I use the clear plastic on a roll) :thumbsup2
thanks jo!!! have fun at the in laws

Rachel: I'm awake, I'm awake!!!
Yep. The points were MASSIVE. I'm not sure I want to even GO to Fatsecret and try to put them on there! Should I? Feels like cheating if I don't....
I think CE said she'd take Flat Rachel. I'm taking Jodi and G-luv. If they get me their FLATS
okay, now you're awake......... #1 your're not a mean mom, you're actually a pretty reasonable mom. you did not rush him to the er bc his arm went numb when he went to sleep. do you know how many people would have ran him into the er bc "he says he's having a heart attack" --- those are the abnormals. you are normal!!! trust me, from an er nurse!!
#2 do not put those points on fatsecret.. it was vacation, it's over. . fresh start ... period.
i'm going to go check out your tr!

Clearing up and he was so proud to show it off to everyone at the BBQ yesterday :sad2:
typical boy!!! i think i'm going to have a lazy day here too!

Mel, Rach..
do not beat yourselves up. That is what defeats our diets/new lifestyles . It is hard though going to Disney and having THAT FOOD..:tongue: and keeping the diet.. but all the walking helps some of that.. then we come back to our "NORMAL" lives and we have a hard time getting motivated back into fixing these "insulated bodies":rolleyes1 that we have.

So you Blow it one day.. or one week.. Hey.. Today's a new day... and Tomorrow is a NEW WEEK.. that YOU HAVE NOT BLOWN !!!:dance3:

NOW LADIES.. GET BACK IN THERE AND HAVE A CELERY STICK !!!!:goodvibes

thanks katt!!!!:goodvibes

Well I have a bunch of catching up to do! I was not on the Dis yesterday due to working and the 4th! We had a great day, went to the local amusement park, cooked hotdogs & hamburgers there with all the trimmings.
sounds like fun rosie!!

When I did WW, I did find it helped to have one of those days sometimes, I think it jumped started my metabolism.
i like your way of thinking!!! oh and your poor doggie!!

But yes, it's kind of an even swap for DH - I have the DVC points at my disposal and he thinks the Vette is "just HIS"... :car:

He's yelling at me that he doesn't want to wear jammies, etc...so I stormed out of his room...
#1 glad you already got the dvc points in exchange for the vettte.. :thumbsup2
#2 :hug: kids can be rough. i have 3, and they all have their moments. it's hard, but i noticied when i keep on standing my ground, they eventually listen

Ok---since no one stuck up for me! No....I do not eat my goats.........in fact, since I started raising goats, I can't even eat lamb from Food City!
And my Kids (now 7 months old), were supposed to be sold at 3-4 months------but I just couldn't do it.......I couldn't even sell them to a good goat home! So I just neutered them and kept them! So as a profit-making goat herding operation, I pretty much suck! But I love my goaties! :goodvibes

And pup decided to stay up and party all nite-----tried to dig a whole in his crate.....barked at me.......chewed his pillow.........then when I'd get him out of his crate, he'd kiss me all over the face and say "I'm sorry----let's play now!!"

........of course he's asleep now. :mad:

+++++++++++++++++++++
Jo (and others!)...................went to the fireworks last nite at the high school.........Ab met 2 guys visiting from Scotland (cousins of her friend)............she asked one of them what part of Scotland, and they said "west coast"......but she couldn't understand the accent so she said "is that in the north or southern part"........and he laughed and said "I see you're blonde! It's in the W-E-S-T part!" :lmao: The guy said someone else asked him if they have Christmas in Scotland and asked how he celebrated the 4th.........
Anyway, she had a great time chatting with him, and her friend says he is in love with her and adding her to his myspace! :rolleyes:

That is sooo cute! It does crack me up when people wonder how other countries celebrate things like the 4th of July.:rotfl:

Someone once asked me wher I was from ! I told them England , he then asked how long I'd been here since I SPOKE THE LANGUAGE VERY WELL!!:lmao:

I'm doing the same thing today Kat...I pawned off DS onto his dad and locked myself in the family room with 2 new movies to watch...27 dresses and Juno. 1 down and 1 to go...
Ooh, I loved Juno, but Andy draws the line at any movie with the word "dresses" in it. :lmao: I'm guessing I'll have to rent it on the sly and watch it on my own.
Hey Tracy, I did post on the last Waldo TR but I don't think I ever made it to TFW. I also posted on G-Luv's TRs.
Ah, that's right - I knew you were familiar! :welcome:
Well it's raining and we're off to Norfolk at 1pm, we're also having our new windows fitted next week so I've got to clear stuff off of the window cills and take some blinds down. Ellie hates me at the moment because I'm making her clean her bedroom so the window men can actually find the window, cruel mother aren't I :rotfl2:
Sorry, Jo- had to :lmao: My kids call me the "meanest mom EVER"!!
oh and :headache: on the 2.99 t-shirts , last week i ordered $115 worth of t-shirts :scared: it's for 3 kids so that 's okay , right? and i bought them for our disney trip. i got 22 tshirts- so if i would've gotten them at disney, it would've been like 22 x $20 per shirt= $440. therefore, by buying them , i actually saved $325. right? which means that now i have an extra $325 to spend at disney. :idea:
Wow, Rachel... you've got the FUZZY math down! V will be so proud! :rotfl:
okay i just realized my siggie says 2 months 1 week till disney. uh oh.............i only have 2 month 1 week to lose 30 lbs. better get a move on. ww buddies unite!!:laughing:
Ack!!! I've only got 7 ish weeks to lose 10-15.... Not much time... I better do something drastic!!! :rolleyes:
WHen I first read this I thought you meant for Fockerfest and thought OMG, she is catching the T bug:lmao:
Hey! :headache:

Good Morning all. We were up late last night, so JImmy slept in --7:45:rolleyes: . He and Jim are laying in our room watching Tom & Jerry and I got kicked out of bed (no room for the 3 of us). No real plans for today. We are supposed to go to a freinds house to swim, but it is rainy and cloudy. We'll see if it clears up at all. If it doesn't we will probably just hang out here and I will do :laundy: and catch up on my Disiing. Catch you all throughout the day!
You got kicked out, huh Janet? :lmao: Sometimes the 4 of us end up in my QUEEN sized bed! :scared:

Michael was HORRIBLE yesterday...he's at this point now where EVERYTHING - absolutely everything is an argument. BIG fight with him yesterday to just go to the stinkin' grocery store...total nightmare. I fumed all day. Seriously. Ruined my entire day.

But seriously...is this how life is going to be? A constant argument with my child?? What in the world do the rest of you do??:confused3
I think it's just a phase, LL. Maddie is becoming very beligerant with me lately... everything is an argument or a challenge. I simply put my foot down with her. Don't want to clean your room? Fine I'll do it - I take a trash bag and put everything in there and put it in the garage for 1 week. It works... now whenever she pouts about cleaning her room I pull out a trash bag and she runs up to clean it. Good luck! Hopefully it'll pass, and if it doesn't I say we sign them up for the same military/boarding school. :lmao:

Someone once asked me wher I was from ! I told them England , he then asked how long I'd been here since I SPOKE THE LANGUAGE VERY WELL!!:lmao:

Now that's funny!! :rotfl2:

Good Morning everyone! Of course, you can ignore the fact that it's 12:15! Well, you'd think that after staying up til 11pm last night, my kids would sleep in, right? Wrong! The dog woke me up at 7am and the kids were up before 9am. I moved to the sofa at 8am so that I could watch Wimbledon when it started. The girls woke up and started whining that they wanted to watch "their show." So, I sent them upstairs to the newly painted playroom to watch a video. I told them that it was Mommy's turn to watch tennis on the new HD TV. Considering their response, you can pass that "meanest mommy in the world" sign right over here!

I've got to do laundry today and yardwork too. But first, I'm headed to the grocery store. Talk to everyone later! Have a great Saturday!

Good morning everyone! Sorry no multi-quotes right now but just wanted to stop in and say hi! I'm getting the kids ready and we are going to see Wall-E. After seeing the reviews on here it looks like it'll be a cute movie. And besides the kids have been dying to see it since it came out.

Ok---since no one stuck up for me! No....I do not eat my goats.........in fact, since I started raising goats, I can't even eat lamb from Food City!

So I guess what you are saying you will never become a goat Baroness;) :lmao:

LY T:hug:

You got kicked out, huh Janet? :lmao: Sometimes the 4 of us end up in my QUEEN sized bed! :scared:

:sad2: Jimmy likes MY pillows better than Jim's pillows in the morning!

:lmao: Me too! The all lettuce and nothing but lettuce diet? :scratchin

Don't forget the all-you-can-drink lettuce water! :lmao:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Forgot to tell you all about my exciting 4th! :rolleyes1 Actually it was a rather laid back day. We swam all afternoon and even got Waldo to join us! :lmao: Of course not before tricking him to come over to the pool and squirting him in the behind with a water noodle! :rotfl2:
I we had a Mexican BBQ - I made carne asada, fideo and beans with a nice salad. For dessert Maddie and I made brownie sundaes. No wonder I haven't lost anymore weight!:rolleyes:
We lit our fireworks rather early... around 8pm and watched our neighborhood light up! Lots of our neighbors head south of the border and get really good fireworks from Mexico and set them off. Some of them are better than the "professional" firework shows. The kids could barely keep their eyes open and were both fast asleep at 9pm, so I joined them and fell asleep during the Boston Pops TV show.
Hope everyone has a restful weekend! We have to go to my neices last minute birthday party today. SIL invited us on Thursday. :sad2: I'll see you all later! :goodvibes
Sounds like everybody has a good holiday. :goodvibes It is a nice day our so I think I am going to go lay out in the backyard and do some reading. Have a great weekend guys!
Just a quick drive by. I'm on the slow lap top and need to get ready to go out tonight.
Just wanted to say Hi. Hope everyone's keeping the drama to a minimum and dealing with it if not.
It's gonna be a looooong week...KC is working from home 3-12 all week...not going to the office at all... so lap top for me and a looong week.
Have a great rest of the weekend everyone.
Hi! Glad to hear your DH liked Juno. Maybe mine will too :thumbsup2
Michael will be 7 in September.
If I let him live that long...:headache: OMG, don't even get me started on the cleaning issue. We have to threaten him by bringing a garbage bag in and putting one of his toys in to get him to realize that we're serious.:sad2:
#1 glad you already got the dvc points in exchange for the vettte.. :thumbsup2
#2 :hug: kids can be rough. i have 3, and they all have their moments. it's hard, but i noticied when i keep on standing my ground, they eventually listen
HOW in the world do you do it with 3 kids Rachel? OMG...Bless your little heart...I'd be insane.:scared:
Just do something for yourself ::yes::
Well, I'm back from the mall. Ca-ching...
Bath & Body Works was having a huge sale so I left there with a huge shopping bag of stuff, then bought some salt scrub stuff from a company called Seacret that Tony buys me hand/nail stuff at. THEN...I attacked JC Penney...GULP. The BIG bag is still hidden in the back of the Mazda...even after I saved $299, the bill still came out to $317!:scared1: I got a couple of Polo shirts for Michael for school but they were all out of pants and shorts his size so I need to keep an eye out for those. And I got myself some bermudas, capris, a bunch of tops, a couple of bras, a new hat for the beach/pool...
Then I came home and have been giving myself a pedicure. Wouldn't ya know it, right in the middle, my friend calls and says hey, let's go out and get pedi's! DOH!!!
Ah well. She's coming over tomorrow to bring us a bunch of tuna steaks from a deep sea fishing trip a bunch of people from work went on so at least we'll have a chance to visit then. Would have been nice to have someone else play with my feet though...:rolleyes:
Someone once asked me wher I was from ! I told them England , he then asked how long I'd been here since I SPOKE THE LANGUAGE VERY WELL!!:lmao:
That's a riot!! Reminds me of the first time I met someone from Canada. I said to him, "Wow - you don't look like you're from another country...":rotfl:
Ack!!! I've only got 7 ish weeks to lose 10-15.... Not much time... I better do something drastic!!! :rolleyes:
Makes 2 of us my friend...:sad2:
Now that's funny!! :rotfl2:
Maybe there's a boarding school in, say...Bangladesh?? (Shout out to V for that!!)
Hmmmm...wonder what V's doing right now....:rolleyes:
