TDR - Historical Pricing / Holiday Inquiry

Hello all! DVC owner, AP and able to organize a WDW trip to the second but, I have a 10 Day Japan cruise in April and I am combining a TDR with it. I am trying to figure out pricing just as a measure of whether to go before or after the cruise.

Is Spring Break or Easter a big thing in Japan, as it is for WDW? I am looking at April 13/14/15 which is a full week before Easter. It is a Sunday Monday Tuesday so kind of a midweek trip. I am thinking of a 1 day package, then 2 nights nearby or even at TDR room only. I just do not know that I need a 2 day package...
Has anyone been in April and can comment on if it is "surge pricing" or how the midweek crowds are? Thanks!

Easter isn't a thing but their spring breaks are generally from the last week of March to the first week of April (varies slightly by region). There are always crowds that time of year for cherry blossoms. Definitely avoid Golden Week (Apr 29-May 5).

This sounds great because I would be there after the cherry blossoms but before the Golden Week crowds. I would be leaving Japan altogether by April 26. At first we were going to be there for the blossom festival but . decided it would too hard.
