Target $10 gc with $50 purchase coupon
ETA: I also wanted to add, that I understand what you are saying about "abusing the system"! I would hate for Target to fall into the realms of "extreme couponing", but I don't see how this necessarily falls into that category! Target isn't losing money in the long run if people take their business there instead of elsewhere!!
Exactly, I know I turned around and used my gift cards for some snacks plus more:)

If you get allowance of two per computer and your family has a couple computers, you are allowed to print. There is nothing wrong with printing the number allowed. Now if they stated only 2 per household, then that's different. People that want to take the time to go to each source and print, then so be it, to each their own! Not to mention your receiving a $10 gift card, which is then giving Target corporation more business. Most people that do this are red cold holders, as anymore with the debit card, most shoppers are holders.
I'm a very frequent target shopper and give them plenty of my money! So I don't feel like I broke any rules printing 2 from my computer and 2 from my daughters!

We'll have to agree to differ, as the limit of 2 would suggest an intent to limit redemption to 2. That is how I understand a limit of 2 to work.

I found 2 of the $50 ones in electronics and the guy rang them up for me. Then I went looking for another $25 one up front (there was only 1 $25 one in electronics) and when I went to purchase, the old lady told me I couldn't use the coupon :headache:

So I went back to electronics and got them with the coupon.
Am I the only one who got denied when trying to do this? I tried buying just the Disney card and the cashier said no.

If this happens, all you have to do is tell them that it does work- it takes them less than five seconds to scan it and find out you are right. This happened to me today, I just asked to her scan it. Problem solved.

Believe me, they are going to come out ahead. Here is how I messed up (so far.) Last night, I purchased one $50 Disney card; received one Target card and an 8/80 coupon. Turned around and purchased one Disney card, and one $30 multipack of iTunes cards. Received one Target card, and $8 off. That's two Target gift cards for last night.

I printed two coupons for my mother, and took her to the store today. She picked up $40 worth of stuff, and I picked up $20 merchandise. My plan was to have her earn another gift card, and I was going to pay for my $20 with last night's Target cards. (two separate transactions) When I realized she was short, I added all my stuff to her order...and forgot to give her my Target gift cards to pay for the merchandise.

Mother enjoyed her shopping trip. She is pretty much homebound. It's been so long since she has been to Target, she wasn't even sure what they sold! They have reclaimed a customer.

On the other hand, now I have three Target gift cards...and I have so far paid only with dollars and the $8 coupon for about $190 worth of purchases. LOL - now I will have to make ANOTHER trip to Target to cash in the gift cards. For every one serious gamesman, there has to be a few like me who will wind up spending extra money in the store...and no, I am not using the Red Card, so they still have their 5%.

Maddle

Considering that Target has their registers set to allow up to FOUR of the coupons on one transaction before it beeps makes me believe they have no problem with using more than 2.

Just to let you guys know that at my Target a lady had one of these coupons and they just said they couldn't and wouldn't take it. It was printed from a printer. I wasn't paying much attention until the end and saw the coupon she was holding.

Went to target today and spent over $50, but forgot my coupon :headache: Think if I take my coupon and receipt to customer service, they will honor it?

I just got back from a Target expedition...at the first Target, I went through the line with my $50 Disney gift card and a few extra items, and had no problem using the $10 coupon. Score!

I put those things in my car and went back in, this time to electronics. I picked up just one $50 Disney gift, and asked the Team Member in Electronics to ring me up. No problem whatsoever using the coupon with just the purchase of a gift card. Score again.

Then I put the gift card and receipt in my purse, grabbed another $50 Disney gift card and got in line with the gift card and another coupon. I spied some Turkey Jerky in the check out lane ;) so I grabbed that too. I started chatting with the lady in front of me who had a ton of stuff...she was so nice. She even offered to let me go in front of her since I only had two things. I told her I didn't mind waiting. Then, in the spirit of Christmas, I took one of my extra $10 gc coupons out (I printed off a bunch!) and offered it to her. You would have thought I gave her a prize winning lottery ticket! She was SO excited and appreciative...it made me feel really good! She even said she was going to pay it forward. :) I checked out with the $50 Disney gc and Turkey Jerky and was able to use the $10 gc coupon with no problem. Score a third time!

I drove to another Target near my son's school and basically re-did the same scene, although since I was in a hurry, I only did two transactions (one in Electronics, and one at the front register). Two more scores for a total of 5! $250 in Disney gift cards, and $50 in Target gift cards. Yes!

I love Target.

If you are successful can you please post. I had to get a hard drive for my kid's Xbox and of course my printer isn't working  It would be great if I could bring the coupon and my receipt back in after dh fixes it.

I wish this was just limited to red card holders and that they enforced the limit of 2 redemptions per customer. It is sad how people abuse promotions and then brag about it on the internet.

Really? Red card is an exclusive club now? Seriously?
How is this any different than if I bought their normal gift card promos multiple times (for example, Bic razors are buy 3 get a $5 gift card free; Buy 4 Pantene shampoos get a $5 gift card free). I spend the money; they offer the free gift card.

I've bought and earned PLENTY of their free gift card promos over the past two years, stockpiled my bonuses, etc.

They absolutely should. I forget coupons all the time, and as long as it has been recent (maybe 2 weeks), no problems. Last year, I looked to see what I had purchased in the past 2 weeks and brought in a receipt or two, thank you free $10 GC. You could always return/rebuy the item if you run into problems.

Not everyone buys a package deal. We are DVC owners and want to take advantage of the discount on the premium annual passes that are being offered until year end. I have to purchase them online or phone since we will not be at WDW before then. Since I can only use two forms of payment the $50 deal at Target doesn't work for us. But the $300 cards sold recently at HEB does as long as I buy one ticket at a time. But I could add on the dining plan with the multiple cards.

I just wanted to warn others who may be in the same predicament.

Right. I didn't say anything about tickets or passes or DVC, though...I'm just saying regular reservations or reservation packages can be paid using them.

Well, let me tell you my experience. When my husband was refused the coupon when he went to buy his, I called the manager who said the cashier was WRONG and to come back in and they'd fix it. They fixed it by the "forgotten coupon" method and issued my GC.

I LOLed at this, too. Can't be letting the unwashed masses without a Red Card into the super awesome bargain club.

Thanks! Now I just hope dh can fix the printer. Otherwise I may have to buy one and then bring back the receipt for that too

I wouldn't worry about Target....or Disney They had an identical promotion last December, two weekends in a row...and they worked on Target GC, so people were buying $50 Target GC, get $10 free, and then using that to buy another $50 GC, get $10 free. Over and over again. Target closed that loophole this year (DUH), but obviously is OK with the other exceptions...they are sooo going to come out ahead

Yes, I will. Closest Target is 30 minutes away, so I won't be going until tomorrow.

I think the point is not that Red Card is exclusive, but rather that Target probably could enforce the two coupon limit if it was limited to Red Card users because they'd have the data and means to do it. I wondered about this too, but since Target didn't put a restriction on using the Red Card with this, I presume they just didn't want to.

However, I'm sure they also have the data to know how many of these coupons are being used- also where, for what, when and often even by whom. They've still got the offer up on their site, so evidently they're happy with the results so far.

Target has MANY ways to limit and/or encourage the use of these coupons- the printing limit is only one way. If they don't like how it all turns out, I'm sure they'll change it the next time. But I doubt very much that they care what one single shopper does with this coupon- they care about what hundreds of thousands of shoppers do with this coupon.

Very true. They are still promo'ing in on facebook as well...what they care about is the $40 they are selling more so than the $10 incentive, I'm sure. The same with the other GC promos they run weekly...it is about selling, daily totals, moving product, etc.

OK; thanks. A follow-up question if you don't mind:

Can I combine gift cards for a purchase in the parks? For instance, I have $10 left on one card, but my balance due is $15. Can I use another gift card for the difference?

I do that all the time (use multiple gift cards for purchases at the parks). Just remember to tell them to toss the gift card (since it's the generic one with Mickey), otherwise you might end up with a gift card that has no $ and forget which one it is.

I try to get either these deals or the fuel points so I have multiple Disney gift cards that I then use to buy pins at the park. LOL.
