Target $10 gc with $50 purchase coupon

Am I the only one who got denied when trying to do this? I tried buying just the Disney card and the cashier said no.

I bought other stuff too, I received no additional coupons printed out. I used only two coupons to get an additional $10 gift card. I did use $10 off electronics and $5 off home. I got $800 gift cards to pay dvc dues. I had additional 5% prescription bonus and the red debit card 5% off. I used the first 10 off on the second purchase. I was of course hoping for $10 off $80 but none printed.

I went to a different Target today (one by my work) and had no problem using 4 coupons on 4 $50 gift cards...I checked out at electronics. Then I headed up to the front because I felt bad having the very nice guy in electronics do more so I figured I would go and check out 2 cards up front. I had a $8 off $80 and the $10 for $50, and they denied me using either of them!! They told me both coupons exclude gift cards so I couldn't use them!

I should have gone back to electronics but felt like I already had him do 4 of them and felt bad. I may attempt again but I don't know since it takes up some time and having the 2 kids with me makes it more difficult! LOL

You should have no issue with going back to a different cashier. I went back tonight and got a bunch more with no issue from a particular wonderful cashier

Now where I did have an issue is when I got $100 in target gift cards I tried to cash them out with an 8/80 coupon and he rung it up and the screen asking if the customer had a gift card waiver or something like that to which the cashier said I was not allowed to use target gift cards to purchase gift cards. I mentioned that they were entertainment cards but he declined.

Considering I had purchased close to $700 in $50 gift cards from this particular cashier to this point I didn't push it anymore.

Last night I did use the target gift cards from a different store to purchase $250 in gift cards so maybe that was the trick there.

I've cleaned out two target's of $50 gift cards at this point and will be out by another tomorrow night. Assuming I can buy the Disney cards with the target cards I'll have saved about $400 or around 20% on our vacation.

Even if I can't I've saved more than under any other program available and I'll still have money to spend on xmas gifts and such.

Don't forget if you have a Kroger in your area they are doing 4x fuel points on gift card purchases. This is what I have done: I purchased $1000 of Target gift cards at Kroger which is 4000 fuel points, which used over the course of a few times is $4 off 35 gallons of gas, so $140 total off future gas purchases. I then went to Target and started with a free $10 gift card from purchasing something. If you roll your $10 gift card coupons to the next transaction vs holding them all and using at once you can purchase $1,250, or $1,240 if you don't have a starter $10 card like I did, in Disney cards vs holding and purchasing at one for $1,200. I also used a credit card that we pay off monthly for my Kroger purchase and earned 1%, maybe 2%, cash back, so $30 minimum.

The way I calculate it is I spent $1,000 and received $1,420 in Disney cards, gas discounts and credit card cash back. Not too shabby!

So we went to our target tonight....me and DGF got in our first line, rang up 4 each...told cashier I had 4 coupons,and I wanted to do 4 transactions...no problems, and between the two of us, we ended up with 6 8/80 coupons. The cashier was very nice, and very quick. Then we looked around at some stuff, and loaded up a buggy....DGF bought about $35 worth of stuff, another card, and used the 8/80. I went to another cashier, got 5 cards, she did them all in the same transaction (!), but it would only let her use 4 coupons....so I used 4 of the 8/80, and 4 of the 10 gc coupons. All in all, I was very pleased, and think I might go tomorrow! We spent 710 to get 750 in cards, and I have a 130 in target cards...plan on cashing those in for more Disney cards- thanks everybody for the help!!

How is everyone getting the 8/80? Hubby and I did 4 transactions , the last of which we got a Wdw $50 card plus a few extra items... We did 4 separate transactions but didn't get any 8/80 coupons . What triggers those to print up? I have to go back later this morning for a few more cards items for our trip. We leave in less than 29 hours for our trip

Not everyone buys a package deal. We are DVC owners and want to take advantage of the discount on the premium annual passes that are being offered until year end. I have to purchase them online or phone since we will not be at WDW before then. Since I can only use two forms of payment the $50 deal at Target doesn't work for us. But the $300 cards sold recently at HEB does as long as I buy one ticket at a time. But I could add on the dining plan with the multiple cards.

I just wanted to warn others who may be in the same predicament.

Doesn't two forms of payment mean mean like gift card and credit card? But then you can use as many gift cards as you want.

the 8/80 seems to be really random. Wed night when I went, I got 4 of the 8/80 coupons. I had 4 transactions of 2 $25 disney cards each. Last night when I went I didn't get any. I had 4 transactions, 3 of which were $50 disney card and my last transaction was 2 $25 disney cards.

Thank you again Op! I was able to buy 6 Disney gc and then turned around and bought a 7th one using the Target gc I got from the transactions. Going back again tonight.

Yep. Expiration date is the last day you can use the coupon.
