That's some very interesting entree's you had that night! Looks like DH got the whole ocean in his stew
It was quite a diverse blend of seafood! He enjoyed it a lot!
What a gorgeous view from ToTW! And also for Wishes!!!
It was! I was really lucky to have scored this meal 6 months out, LOL. It was packed at California Grill that night.
Those lantern shots are too cute, how long will they be offering them at WDW do you happen to know?
From what I know they have extended it indefinitely? I hope it's still there next month!
Sounded like a great end to your birthday day! Dinner looked amazing!
Thank you! It was an awesome day and evening!
Awesome! Seeing the goodnight kiss is on my bucket list for one day.
I think I have seen it before but I never realized that was called the "kiss good night" until I read about it last year. I just thought it was a "good bye everyone and get out of the park so that our hard-working CMs can get home" sort of message, LOL.
Wow, how nice. What an awesome opportunity to get up there. If I didn't know any better I'd say you were at the California Grill bar, though of course there would be a lot more people
Haha I had no idea about Top of the World until my friend Ann brought it up.
Wow, this looks awesome. Swedish fish and a glow cube in a single drink!!! Yes please and thank you
It was really fun to drink. Reminded me of those fish bowl or dragon bowl type drinks I used to have during college...but much classier of course, hehe.
Funny when I saw this picture, I thought I remember that dress from your cruise. Didn't realize I remembered chunkysis wearing it though
Yup! CS wore it on Star Wars Day at Sea!
It was gorgeous!
We got the same roll on our last trip and I don't think I even realized it was supposed to have truffle and you most definitely couldn't taste it.
Yeah I wasn't really wowed by the roll. I mean it was tasty but I guess I was expecting a lot more truffle and flavor to come through.
How cool you'll get to see both shows in the course of just a month!!!! I"m definitely ready for a new show too, as is Casey, who when we watched them last time wasn't even remotely interested anymore.
I'm super excited. I booked the Pandora trip before they announced Happily Ever After's premier date so we'll be able to see it on that trip!
Wow this looks awesome and sounds utterly perfect!!!!!!!!
It was great! It could have used more broth though because it was super flavorful.
That is my face 90% of the time when I'm not at Disney.
What an amazing way to spend your birthday!
Stunning view from Top of the World and all your CR pics make me miss being there so much. We just loved the location and the easy walk to MK.
I think your Tangled pics are perfect no resting lantern face.
Thank you! It was a real treat to spend another birthday at WDW again. The location of the Contemporary is the best for MK. I loved how we could walk back and forth.
Haha, thank you!!
Nice meal. I love California Grill. Top of the World looks nice. I like that drink. Your husband's cioppino looks really good. It's making me hungry. I figured you got whichever dish had the forbidden rice
It was a great meal and a great evening. I definitely think I got a second wind after dinner because I was feeling more tired during the day than I did that evening. Thank goodness or I wouldn't have gotten that Tangled shot. The forbidden rice was awesome!

I actually laughed out loud reading that! I do disagree though - I think your lantern shots are magical. I really need to do this! What a special momento.
Hahaha, I thought that was funny too.

I really had no idea what to look at so I stared straight at the lantern. If this is still around on August 19 we should totally try and do this!
The TotW experience had to have been amazing - how cool! And your dinner looked great, you can't beat seeing Wishes just before entrees were served
I can see now why people want these ADRs so badly during Wishes. No crowds, still a nice view, and great food!!
I do not do well with people cutting lines, but I'm glad you didn't let it put a damper on your day. $50 is definitely a good price for all of those treats and a guaranteed view of the parade!
It's because it's Disney, and I didn't want to cause a scene in front of everyone including her kids, but people behind us were mad too. But we just rolled our eyes, and laughed it off because well, everyone was getting on that boat and we just have to deal with situations like this as best we can...anyways we forgot about it quickly after that because we were having too much fun!
It seems like you had a great birthday. Watching Wishes from Top of the World looked gorgeous. I also love your lantern shots!
Thank you! I had a wonderful birthday so far, meeting all my new and old Disfriends!
We watched Wishes from California Grill but I'm sure the view from Top of the World is even more amazing. I am not sure if they had food though, It might just be drinks.
I had comments saved from the Tiana's Ice Cream social but they're saved on my work computer - oops!
Let me just sum it up succinctly: It looks like a lot of fun and I love anything with Tiana so I want to do that.
Also I love your Tiana dress.
It was a great fun event in the middle of the day and you get treats and interaction with a Princess and a Prince, watching the parade in the shade, while eating a Mickey Bar. Yup. Best idea ever!

I saw a picture of this the other day - I want it so badly! It's very reminiscent of a fish bowl that they used to have at a somewhat local dive bar that we used to get on a hot summer night and they really were my favorites.
Totally reminded me of those dragon bowls I'd do with my friends at the ghetto chinese places near college. Fun times. But of course the Disney version is much...classier.
Also, Top of the World is one of my favorite lounges in Disney World. I'm hoping we can go at some point during this trip but it may not be feasible. The view is my absolute favorite.
It's gorgeous and I love the space!
oh, my goodness you sat at just about the same table I did last time I was there! lol. I went at sunset and was super distracted watching it come down over the Magic Kingdom out the window. I don't think my distraction was appreciated lol but it was so pretty!
Oh that's cool you sat on the same table!
Yeah there was a lot going on at dinner there, food was being served all around us, glasses clinking, and then it's oooooohhhh WISHES!! And everyone runs to grab a nice view. They dim the lights and pipe in the music. It's pretty cool. I would do this again, especially when the parks are crowded.
