I had to laugh at your quote about working on your resting lantern face because my dd always tells me I have resting B**** face. I think that is mean, so I always try to smile when I am just sitting around so no one thinks I am mad at them lol!

Well, at least I made it here before you go home! You started this while I was still on my cruise so I totally missed it until you signed on to my TR and I saw the link in your signature. I "power read" the whole thing in the last couple days!

Congratulations on making the 5K especially with the challenges you had going into it. I haven't been to Tokyo Dining in a long time, but I've always liked it. We just have so many Japanese places in So Cal that I don't find it a priority.

You're much more adventurous in your eating, but I suppose a lot of the things at Tiffins are very common in Asian Cuisine (which I love, but not some of the more different choices). I'm still on the fence about trying a meal there.

So good that everything worked out for ROL, whenever we get back, not sure how much of a priority that show will be. WoC is not our favorite show and I think it sounds a little similar with the projections and such.

I'm having a hard time remembering everything, but I thought your Tangled shot was great!

Maybe I'll be more on top of things for your next TR. Especially since I won't be going anywhere for a while now.

We walked through the crowds and over to the check in area outside of the Liberty Belle. There was a line to check in, and just as it was almost our turn to speak to the CM, some mom and her 2 kids cut us in line! What the...HELLO, what just happened!?!? I know the kids were hot and tired from their expressions but that is no excuse to cut the line. I think she thought it was ok to cut because some of her party had already went in but it's not like they checked in for her because she would have had a special sticker and she didn't. If she just asked us we would be more than willing to let her in front, but instead she annoyed us and the line of people behind us. There was no, EXCUSE ME or SORRY on her part either.

I hate how some people think they are above everyone else. I feel like I try to be extra polite and considerate at Disney because I know how rude other people can be.

The landing where you board the Liberty Belle had been transformed into a little dessert party. There were bar height tables to the right when you enter, and to the left were desserts being handed out by CMs. Note that these are not the only treats you get, there will be more treats on the boat itself!

That's nice that they give you something to munch on before you get on the boat.

Everything was decorated in the colors of Mardi Gras (of course) and it was very befitting that it was Mardi Gras the next day!

We were given beads to wear too so we had our own Mardi Gras celebration!

We were there the next day on Fat Tuesday. This would have been so fun to do then.

During this pre-boarding time on the landing Tiana and Naveen are available for pictures. It's relatively uncrowded at this time and there was never much of a line. So we were able to take a ton of pictures and interact with them as much as we wanted. First up is myself and DH. They loved my dress! They asked me I made it hahahahaha. Tiana was so cute, she pointed to my dress and was showing Naveen all the pictures. "That's me, and that's you!"

That's so cute that she loved your dress so much. I always hear such good things about Tiana meets.

We sat on some of the couches, they were nice and comfy! DH and I perused the menu and I saw something that caught my eye. The Seven Seas Lagoon drink that I saw just premiered at the monorail resorts just a few weeks before our trip. It's definitely a shared drink as it's about 25 bucks but the drink is bigger than my head. I kid you not. Here it is:

This was a picture that DH took (after he had to delete some old pis to make room on his phone LOL) but he didn't do a good job of showing it's size in relation to other things. But it was massive. It was really good though, it was your quintissential Blue-Hawaiian-type drink with the blue curacao, and it had a glow cube and swedish fish and a gummy float in it. It really was the size of the Seven Seas Lagoon!

Our local hibachi place has a drink like this and that was my drink of choice for my 21st birthday.

We ordered some more drinks, DH got a really nice Riesling, and I got what I thought would be a rose type champagne but it was too dark and a bit too sweet for me, so I didn't like it as much as DH's Riesling.

I love me some Riesling

It's definitely more impressive in person that what I could capture, and it was nice they pipe in the music.

I really need to work on my "resting lantern face" before next time!!
I look a bit stiff so next time I'll smile and tilt my head and see if that makes me look more dreamy.

We got the same roll on our last trip and I don't think I even realized it was supposed to have truffle and you most definitely couldn't taste it.

Yeah I wasn't really wowed by the roll. I mean it was tasty but I guess I was expecting a lot more truffle and flavor to come through.

How cool you'll get to see both shows in the course of just a month!!!! I"m definitely ready for a new show too, as is Casey, who when we watched them last time wasn't even remotely interested anymore.

I'm super excited. I booked the Pandora trip before they announced Happily Ever After's premier date so we'll be able to see it on that trip!

It was a great meal and a great evening. I definitely think I got a second wind after dinner because I was feeling more tired during the day than I did that evening. Thank goodness or I wouldn't have gotten that Tangled shot. The forbidden rice was awesome!

I do not do well with people cutting lines, but I'm glad you didn't let it put a damper on your day. $50 is definitely a good price for all of those treats and a guaranteed view of the parade!

It's because it's Disney, and I didn't want to cause a scene in front of everyone including her kids, but people behind us were mad too. But we just rolled our eyes, and laughed it off because well, everyone was getting on that boat and we just have to deal with situations like this as best we can...anyways we forgot about it quickly after that because we were having too much fun!

Let me just sum it up succinctly: It looks like a lot of fun and I love anything with Tiana so I want to do that.

It was a great fun event in the middle of the day and you get treats and interaction with a Princess and a Prince, watching the parade in the shade, while eating a Mickey Bar. Yup. Best idea ever!

I saw a picture of this the other day - I want it so badly! It's very reminiscent of a fish bowl that they used to have at a somewhat local dive bar that we used to get on a hot summer night and they really were my favorites.

Totally reminded me of those dragon bowls I'd do with my friends at the ghetto chinese places near college. Fun times. But of course the Disney version is much...classier.

Also, Top of the World is one of my favorite lounges in Disney World. I'm hoping we can go at some point during this trip but it may not be feasible. The view is my absolute favorite.

oh, my goodness you sat at just about the same table I did last time I was there! lol. I went at sunset and was super distracted watching it come down over the Magic Kingdom out the window. I don't think my distraction was appreciated lol but it was so pretty!

Yeah there was a lot going on at dinner there, food was being served all around us, glasses clinking, and then it's oooooohhhh WISHES!! And everyone runs to grab a nice view. They dim the lights and pipe in the music. It's pretty cool. I would do this again, especially when the parks are crowded.

Thank you so much! It was a fabulous evening. I got my dress from Disney Store online last year. The brand does say Star Wars on it. I knew Disneyland had them back in September of last year, but not sure about WDW. If anything It may be in that place that sells all things star wars at Disney Springs. You can also try the shop parks app.

It was really good. I think you should try it - some of the foods use weird ingredients but you would be surprisde as to what they taste like after they are done with them. She's soooo cool. She's spunky and sassy as times. There was one time I met her with my sister and she saw my wedding ring and she's like, "Damn Girl Everyone come here to see this ring, Everyone including you , Naveen." so I ended up having a fun chat with Tiana and Naveen about my ring. She's so adorable, love her!

Thank you so much! We had a great time on the 5k despite not feeling 100%. We actually did sign up for the Fall Feast 5k in November as a sort of do-over. It's actually on the last full day of our fall trip. Not sure how that will feel after a week at the parks, so we'll see. Hehe, I might be miserable!

The Tiana dessert social looked like a ton of fun! Tiana is one of my favorite Disney characters. I love her so much! I really love the FoF parade, so it would be fun to see it in a different way.

Hi Karilynn! Thank you so much for reading and for posting. I love reading people's comments, I really appreciate them! I have so much fun writing these TRs, they are actually very therapeutic for me, and lets me re-live my trips, so thank you!

I do try and do different things and eat at different places on each trip. I am only repeating a few restaurants in this year of Disney but it's so hard to not go back to our favorites. Next month we're doing the new Bon Voyage breakfast, Cape May Cafe and Homecoming which are new to us.

What a perfect Disney birthday! Oh man! That drink! I'm so jealous, I really wanted to try one that trip but it never panned out. I'm totally going to make DH buy me one for my birthday trip! We decided to make a quick dash to DW July 1-4! Just a day after my b-day, but it still counts, right??

I noticed your travel blog in your sig and went to peruse. We are planning our first trip to Hawaii for September for our 10 year wedding anniversary, so I was SUPER excited to see so much HI travel on there!!!!! We will be there for 2 weeks.
