I don't remember when but he's been gone for a while now. Though I never understood the logic of having him out there and then trying to get you to pay for it.

That's true, I guess I forget that not everyone has memory maker!

Yum! Love Tusker House and this is our favorite time to eat there. You get two meals for the price of 1 and the cheaper one at that Its a win, win for my stomach and my wallet.

It's the best time to go! I just love having the variety of foods with both breakfast and lunch...Win win for sure!

Thanks! I got this in Hawaii on a previous trip. It was a Disney Store Hawaii exclusive. Think it was only sold at Disney Store Oahu and at Aulani.

I love how in just a matter of a few feet it looks like there is barely anyone in the park on then left and then on the right the whole world showed up.

Enjoyed your report, I love your Mickey necklace, very cute! We also love TH, we try to go at least every other trip. So funny, you are not a big fan of Dinosaur, it is one of my favorite rides! I have fun memories riding with my son when he was young!

The necklace was from my niece Maddie who gave it to me for x-mas one year. I saw the same one at the Mexico Pavilion in that jewelry store. I liked it so much I bought a Mickey one (the one I have is actually Minnie with a little pink bow).
Yeah not a fan of Dinosaur. I don't know why. It's not the ride vehicle. I think it's just the dinosaur theme. I like cute rides, LOL.
Definitely will write at least a dining report on the May trips!!

Ooh, we are heading down May 18! Looks like we might miss you, but we managed to snag two different AP preview times because we booked one and our in-laws booked one, so we're planning on doing a lot of Pandora. I was so excited, because I figured there was no way we'd manage to be down there when the previews were going on! I'm going to have to go catch up on your PTR, and maybe one day update my own TR...

Nope, we'll be there arriving on the 19th, staying at AKL. Only for the weekend leaving the night of the 21st. So if you're around we'll definitely have to catch up!!! When's your preview? Ours is on the 20th 6-8pm. Then we'll head over to MK to watch the new show. Super excited about that whole weekend!!!

I LOOOOOOOVE the safari!!! Disney does such amazing things with animal conservation, and this safari is such an awesome example!

It's my favorite ride at AKL! I really like that an rafiki's planet watch. I can take or leave anything else.

I rarely see Tusker House pics in TRs, so this was great to see! Good idea on the timing to get to try both breakfast and lunch items! Must keep that in mind...

It's my favorite time to eat at Tusker! Definitely a plus to get the variety of breakfast and lunch. Of course you have to roll me out after...

I do like your idea of staying at the airport for night 1...also to not have to pay WDW prices for a room when you get in so late. I may look at that option if our August trip materializes lol

Haha, that's what happens when you get annual passes...you have to milk them for all that it's worth. I'll be interested to see what my cost per day comes out to be. I am hoping I can at least also make it to one MVMCP this year...but I am really running out of vacation days hahaha.

I really like that option of staying at the airport. The Hyatt MCO is nice enough and it's so convenient. I am also trying out in staying at another airport hotel on another trip, but one that requires a shuttle to get to. But it is much cheaper than the airport Hyatt. I will have to think about it though, as not sure if the shuttle back and forth will be a pain and I may regret it.

Enjoyed reading along! I sat in the same spot in Tusker House a few years ago and it definitely is nice to be away from the noise but it does get crowded! Especially if you have to leave while characters are interacting with other guests down near the end or servers are coming around with drinks/orders.

Thank you so much! Maybe you can do the tour with your son and have your DW go to the spa at the Grand Floridian... It probably costs the same, but your treatment will last much longer!

Thank you! I can't believe it's just 3 weeks away that we'll be back in WDW...I am really unprepared for this trip. LOL. There' just so much going on at work and stuff that I hardly have time to do disney stuff, outside of writing my TRs and PTRs, because you know, priorities.

I love the buffet area at Tusker. Reminds me of a bazaar in an exotic African or Middle Eastern country...if I ever went to those places!

Aw, this picture reminded me how much I love the look of TH too! We've eaten there 3x but it's been a few years, might have to try and return next time we bring the boys

It's been a while since we ate there too but I've always loved the look of it as well! It's definitely hard to decide now between Tiffins and Tusker...the food is too good at Tiffins but Tusker is just so much fun!

Ugh! I had everything quoted and then my iPad decided to freak out ND I lost everything, so I'm going to try and remember what I was going to comment on!

Yes, wish we could have had that drink, definitely next time!! Unfortunately we leave on July 4th, so no fireworks for us at DW, we fly down on the 1st and leave the 4th, so it's a super quick trip! But a birthday trip none the less!

Okay, so I am back again after an absence! I've been having problems with my ipad and the DIS so I have to use a real computer or a laptop and it just makes things more complicated. In any case, I remember reading some of this update so I may have actually commented on it already. If I did, oops, but you are getting another reply...lol.

Japanese charcoal facial soap.

I have heard good things about charcoal too. I may need to look into it. As I get older, my face has definitely gotten worse!

I got a very large and colorful Bento Box served with sushi, tempura, chicken teriyaki, ahi tuna poke salad, and beef teriyaki.

I was very impressed with the buffet. I expected it to be small and limited but it offered more than I thought it would, and the food was really good!

I need to try this in the future...so many things to try though, right???

I don't think we waited too long for a bus and soon we were on our way.

We went to Red Carpet Dreams which is that new character spot for Sorcerer Mickey and Hollywood Minnie. It's located right across from ABC Commisary. We did this for the first time in December and thought it was super cute.

I want to try to hit this up at some point.

What I didn't realize was that when waiting in line, once you get inside the building, there are these magic posters that come to life. It comes on every few minutes so when DH said the posters move, I was like, no it doesn't, but indeed it does.

Sounds so cool! I couldn't get the video to play but if I remember, I'll try later.

We waited about 20 minutes for our picture with Minnie and Mickey.

All I can say is Luke Evans has a really good voice!! He was by far the most impressive singing in the preview. DH, who now has some bromance with Gaston, whole-heartedly agreed.

He did so well in BatB! I didn't realize til later that he was in The Hobbit, as well. And yes, while I didn't really like The Hobbit that much, I am a Lord of the Rings nerd as much as a Star Wars and Harry Potter nerd. LOL

We were on the new track. Not sure if the new track is only for FP or if it's a blend of standby and FP, but I like the new track...I think it felt smoother.

I think the new track opened before our trip last year and we may very well have been on it for all I know...lol.

Love it! But, I feel almost guilty saying this; I think I am trying a Harvey next. I love my Dooney but I just like the how the harvey's look as well. They are releasing a BatB collection in a few days. I doubt I get one of those because I am going to look closer to my birthday...or at least after our trip, but ya never know....lol.

Menu for this evening's dinner: We already knew what we wanted, I ordered the Dark Side Chicken n Waffles and DH got the Royal Guard Burger. It also comes with a drink.

I ended up dropping B&C from our full DHS day and replacing it with Backlot. Just seems to be a good QS choice.

Yup we bypassed even the FP lines. This was pretty cool!

Score!

Then some CMs came out holding trays of popcorn and we were each handed a box of popcorn and more ice cold bottled water. OMG I was so happy. Nothing makes me happier than popcorn and I just about died when I got a box. I love Disney popcorn!

We love it too and plan to take advantage of the bucket and refill thing going on at the parks.

and I paid a lot of money for this box of popcorn hahaha.

we were surprised to hear was that we'd be marching along with them....WHAT?!?

Yes, I've heard about this recently. So cool!

During Star Tours I was once again NOT the Rebel Spy. Haha.

The Royal Guard burger had bbq brisket on it and was quite tasty. DH liked it a lot.
