LOL! Hmmm...that may be a little too funky for our tastes! We do like to stay at places that are not your typical chain hotel. It makes it so much more special. In case anyone ever plans a trip to West Palm Beach, look up Hotel Biba (Click the link to go to their website --> Hotel Biba). It was great! But I would only recommend it to people who don't mind offbeat hotels. This hotel is an old, but renovated, motor lodge. It's sort of an odd mix of asian and contemporary styles, but they somehow pull it off. It was very affordable and the staff was absolutely incredible.
We are conservative-but, it wasn't that bad over all--excellent breakfast buffet. We were close to moving to West Palm Beach earlier this year, but Disney Hubby was passed up on that job. We honeymooned in Pompano Beach in our first half week of our honeymoon, then stayed off-site near Splendid China. This year, we made sure that we stayed on-site and loved CSR. I was asleep most nights before mid-night which is rare for me and up by 7 am.:teeth:

ALL THE TIME, especially since I'm PG now.

I'm heading off to bed now. Still wearing out easily from cold remnants. Plus I have to finish the menus for MIL tomorrow and work on a couple of swaps. We're meeting ohanafamily's aunts and other relatives for an early dinner then we're heading down to the Music Hall. This week the musical is Yankee Doodle Dandy.

We mentioned a few times how we could live in West Palm, but it seems like there are either REALLY nice houses or REALLY not-so-nice houses. Is there even a middle class there?!?!

Goodnight RRBB! I'm right behind you. Well, not literally. I'm not an axe murdering stalker or anything. I mean, I promised I would never do that again. ;)

Goodnight everyone! :wave2:

I'm here, if you want to join me

ONCE AGAIN....I should have come straight home from work! BLAST!

OK, girlfriend, you have my work #.....I'm there till 5:30p...that's 8:30 your time......call me and tell me to race home! (Can't get into chat from work computer). OR, we could actually just plan a day in advance, if possible.

BUT, I did have a wonderful dinner at Claim Jumper with my sister! AND, I ate on program, AND I didn't have any dessert AND I used my Disney Visa AND earned 48 cents in rewards!

Night all!

Just catching up before hitting the sack. Got in just a bit ago. DH and I saw Harry Potter at the late show after dinner with a friend. ohana, I didn't want you to be right, but you are. Something just not as good about that movie. The humor stuck out at me....don't know if it was because it was a sore thumb or because it was pointed out, but it just didn't seem to belong. Even I missed a few details....and I have an awful memory and last read the book over a year ago! They never explained who Padfoot, Wormtail, Prongs, and Moony were....never told the significance of Harry's petronus being a stag.... Since I'm not big on details, I can't really lay my finger on it, but it was just different. Liked CC's ones better. Oh well. Still glad we saw it!

DH leaves again tomorrow for another 10 days or so :( Yuck. Gets to go to Scotland, which I LOVE!! He'll bring me back a present, but I'd rather get to go with him ::yes:: Kids would, too! He'll bring me some Cadbury's chocolate, though...YUM!!!

Why I don't got to the movies:
sitter--$5/hour for 3 extra hours = $15
tickets--1 military at $6.50 and one adult at $8.25 = $14.75
snacks--1 drink at $4 and 2 ice creams ($3 & $2.75) (out of M&M vending machine at theatre) = $9.75
TOTAL COST = $39.50
Cost of DVD when it comes out $18 (average).....and I can watch that as often as I want to!!!

No wonder I don't go to the movies...I can't afford it!!! $4 for a drink...step off! I go so seldom that I completely forgot to get snacks at the 7-11 and hide them in my purse! But you really shouldn't have to do that....

Well, morning comes early in this house! Off to bed...

Breakfast for you early risers (leftovers for you late risers!):

chocolate pancakes with caramel and chocolate syrup drizzle
chocolate covered strawberries
chocolate croissants from the Patisserie in Epcot's France :)
chocolate truffles for the truly indulgent
chocolate milk or hot chocolate

Yep...gonna be that kinda day!

Great idea to postpone your post party to tomorrow. That way we can tell everyone during the day that it's going to happen and they can all show up for you. :cool1: And since it's your party, of course you can have whoever you want as your personal bartender/towelboy. :teeth:
How about Matt???? Congrats on their break up!

Welcome back HuggaBaloo sounds like you had a pretty terrific b day!! Don't be a stranger.

kadaten I'm with ya on the movie thing even though I'mn taking Lauren to see Home on the Range today-but it is at the cheapie movie theater. Are you on base? They don't have a movie theather? (thanks for the breakfast)

Lewski709 what time were you chatting last night? I'm such a party pooper( yes RickinNYC I said pooper) I like to be in bed by 9pm if at all possible.

Ok buds, off to start the day. I'm already tired of boxes and making a maze thru the house. Ugh. Can't wait to get to the new house. I did receive a call from a friend last night and they are moving here. Well, we move into our new house July 5 and they are coming with 3 boys house hnting on the 6th and dropping the kids off for a week. Just shoot me now. Plus my sister and her son come on the 9th. Where am I gonna put eveyone? Oh well. The more the merrier. Have to look on the bright side!!! Just need to keep the paper plates out for lots of hot dogs etc!!

I don't know where you're going to put everyone, but I have a suggestion of what you can do with them... Put them to work. Make them help you unpack all your stuff. ;)

Good morning.

Good luck on the move cheeringmom (and all your guests).

Kadaten, hope your DH has a great trip, make sure you ask for cadbury flake bars, crunchies and malteezers. I know I spelt them right but they are so yummy.

Good morning everyone!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_4_23v.gif' border=0></a>

RRBB you're up awful early today!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_29_123.gif' border=0></a>

Last night was the first game for Daniel's team in the tourny. They won 12-0 in four innings. (They have a 10 run rule, if a team is up by at least 10, they call the game.) It's a good thing because we got rained on for almost an hour.

I had one really big umbrella<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_6_21.gif' border=0></a> that Ella, Holly, Lainie and Josh sat under and played with chalk for, like, an hour! That's just amazing to me because Ella has never sat down before. I mean it. She stands<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_115v.gif' border=0></a>, she walks<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_118.gif' border=0></a>, she runs<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_3_110.gif' border=0></a>, she jumps<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_5_129.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_5_131.gif' border=0></a>, she dances<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/5/5_1_120.gif' border=0></a>. She only sits to eat, and then not even always.

Anyway, my MIL brought the world's best ever apple pie with that crumbly topping, I think you call that dutch apple? It was still warm and we had ice cream on top. So we sat under umbrellas in the rain watching Daniel's team play while eating warm apple pie a la mode. I'll admit I felt just a little silly.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_6_5.gif' border=0></a> Desserts have become a big part of our baseball games.

My dad is coming to pick up the older two to take them to a movie this morning. The local theater shows older movies for free on Wed. mornings. Today is "Cat in the Hat".

See you guys later!:wave2:

How'd your interview go yesterday s&ksmom?

I hope they're not going to make US wait as long as for an answer as WE have to wait to find out about RickinNYC's quest for a new job. Do these people realize how many of us they have waiting on pins and needles for answers?
