Hello everyone. have not been here in about forever. I could barely keep up with the posts. This thing is like a run away freight train. I have lurked in the shadows a little and checked things out without posting from time to time. I have had a busy few months. I was coaching my oldest daugthers softball team. They won the league...hooray. She played catcher and did a great job. We built a pool and the landscape job and fence work as well as a house re-do has kept me busier than I could stand at times. I have a WDW trip planned for late july at POFQ and have been on the resorts boards quite a bit as well. I also just got back from a temp assignment with the Secret Service doing operational security for the Sea Island G-8 summit here in Ga. I am just now seeing light at the end of my tunnel. Spoke with Geffric and Lewski last night in chat. It seems all is well. Hope not to stay away so long now.

Ok buds, off to start the day. I'm already tired of boxes and making a maze thru the house. Ugh. Can't wait to get to the new house. I did receive a call from a friend last night and they are moving here. Well, we move into our new house July 5 and they are coming with 3 boys house hnting on the 6th and dropping the kids off for a week. Just shoot me now. Plus my sister and her son come on the 9th. Where am I gonna put eveyone? Oh well. The more the merrier. Have to look on the bright side!!! Just need to keep the paper plates out for lots of hot dogs etc!!

Cheeringmom Not on base....actually about 26 miles from base. They do have a theater, but we weren't eating in that part of town and they didn't have a late show, so we couldn't make it over. We live out in the 'burbs so base isn't convenient at all. I don't even shop at the commissary. I wish I could....I always saved so much $$ there. But the kids can only do 20-30 minutes in the grocery store without coming unglued and I'm not making the long drive for such a short trip. I should get better organized and make DH go on his way home....but I'm not yet that organized! Oh well...

Welcome back dawgfan! Sounds like you have been busy. Congrats on the Softball Championship. My nephew ([COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR]'s DS) is in the middle of their little league tournament (11 & 12 year olds). Their team had the best record in the regular seaon & won the AL. Tournament time is crazy. What's going on on Sea Island? My friend's family owns a home their. Yes, they are quite wealthy.

I got the time wrong on tennis I'm so on top of things. It's 10:30 not 10 So I can sit here and talk to you guys for like...10 minutes while my sister sits upstairs in her bed even though i've yelled at her 100 times to get up since she has to drive me the old end of teenagers.....they sleep so late!!

I have to admit, we've had the same dog name recognition problem as you did. Bill's name is actually Bilbo. We got him years before the Lord of the Rings ever came out and when I saw him, I said he looked like a hobbit due to his tiny legs and squat body. So Bilbo it was.

But no one seemed to know the name or ever heard of it. When I'd introduce him on the street and tell someone his name was Bilbo, they always, without fail, thought I was saying something dirty. Just replace the letter B with the letter D and you'll catch my drift.

So we slowly changed his name to Billy, than Bill. Of course, when he gets in trouble, his name then changes to Go To Your Room! (which he does. he slinks off to the kitchen and sits on his towel with a dejected look on his face and stays there until we say its ok).

Good idea about putting the boys to work but..... they are boys!!!! Probably more problem then its worth. If they just play outside and don't break anybones, I'll be happy. My sis is coming to help. why did Iknow that this where this story was going, I had a few it could have been worse you could have named him... but none that were'nt going to get me in trouble

deadheadbelle-yes you're friends who have a place on Sea Island are rich indeed and fortunate. The place is one of the most beautiful locations. The G-8 summit was held there in early June. This is a summit of eight countries where policy is made and discussed among the countries involved (there are eight-of course-and the president as host invites several other countries). We had the island locked down as the president and invited world leaders were in attendance.
