Maybe I missed it, but WHO WON THE BABY PHOTO CONTEST?

Good mornin' all! I'm going to be extremely busy at work this morning, because, well...'cause I've got a cool boss, I had Tuesday off, and then I have tomorrow off, so this week is only two days long for me. I would otherwise be jumping up and down about a two-day work week, but I've got so much junk on my desk, that it's actually a bother rather than a joy. But I guess when I wake up tomorrow, I'll be happy to be off. I'm going down to the Jersey Shore (Rick, if you read this...I'm going "down the shore" as it's called in NJ!, not "down TO the shore" and you so often correct me!!) to meet a friend and then we're going to the WXTU 20th Anniversary concert. XTU is Philadelphia's top country station, and they've lined up Reba McEntyre, and five other acts to perform live at an all day concert in Camden NJ, on the water, looking out directly across at the City Of Brotherly Love!
Ought to be a great time. I'm really looking forward to it! What I'm not looking forward to is this: 2 buses to get to where I'm going (NY to Lakewood, NJ, then another bus from Lakewood to Little Egg Harbor, NJ), for a total of just over 4 hours bus time. If we had a car, it would be just under two hours driving time.
Ugh.
Well, I'll try to get back on the board again today in between cleaning off my desk. My boss told me my messy desk is making her extremely nervous. Hahaha.

Can't wait for the weekend! I have the place to myself, don't have any projects, drives or events to tend to, so I'll happily ensconce myself amidst junk food and horror movies and possibly take myself out for some sushi. In my mind, that's perfect Rick Time!

No, actually I'm heading out to CA to visit my sister and her kids before they move. Sure, she's probably moving to TX later this summer, and even staying with us for a few weeks in the process. But I really want to go out there and play since I was originally planning to do so back in December. (Remember our mold problem. That really messed up my plans back then.) I also have a few friends that live about 15 minutes from my sister that I'd like to visit. Both of them were in my wedding. One of them, my MOH, just moved out there last year.

Boston is the next trip though, July 7-11.

Afternoon all,
I've just got back from school which turned out to be quite productive. I got another 10 reports done, just 9 more to do tomorrow. This is where I am envious of the teachers with smaller classes. Each report takes about 30 minutes to do but some of the teachers have 10 or 12 less kids in their class than I do!! Oh well, never mind.

So what do people have planned for tonight? I have got my first Sound of music rehearsal this evening. I'm not sure if it is a singing, acting or dance rehearsal, I guess I will find out later.

Well, I can't imagine that I'm the only country music fan in NYC, there have to be others, but I am a big country fan. Do you like country music too??

I'm listening to it right now. I stream it through the net from Philadelphia. I used to listen to a station out of Dallas, TX (the Wolf), but when you streamed, it caused so many pop-ups, and crashed so much, that I had to find a better station. XTU is that station. It causes no pop ups and plays a lot of current hits, and, every once in a while, a good ol' song, too.
Once, they played, out of nowhere, the theme song to DUKES OF HAZZARD!
