Good afternoon everyone! I just thought I would share a cute/funny story from work/school today. Being that it was a "special day" (miss krystal was leaving her little darlings because she will be gone to disney next week), we watched a movie during nap time. The kids chose "The Aristicats" because we don't have a copy of "Peter Pan" at our school. So, everyone is snuggled on thier mats as I push play, the first thing on the screen is a commercial for Disney World. You know, the cute one with the kid at school telling about his summer vacation? Well, you would have thought it was the most AMAZING thing in the world! Mi kids jumped off their mats and began screaming, and I do mean screaming, "Disney World! Disney World! Miss Krystal is goin there!" Once I quited the room down, they all began sulking because they couldn't go with me! *tear* It was very sad!
But, then I promised to get pictured of Mickey and other such characters and they were ...well... no longer sad! < that about explains them. Haha. Gotta love the kids. Of course, it could have been all the rain and not getting to go outside that made them so moody and hyper.

BTW: What is "Swap Boxes"?? Someone please fill me in!

I am sure you've heard of me....pre cursor........I am a bit, well, we'll just say . Who have you met around here that isn't though? Sorry, I think the secret is OUT people.

I went to college for Elementary Education, but my own two monkeys keep me away from teaching kids. I tend to try not to kill my own banchee's. I would have trouble with a whole pack.

Good to have you around! You look very cute and young. We can be corruptive, but hey you handle small kids, so I am sure you can handle the "elderly" here. Just respect us, that's all we ask.

Sorry about all this swap talk. It's fun and all, but you weren't in on it this time and that stinks.

Ok. So I contacted my TA to see about rates for December. I would use you, and I do mean that, but your rates are higher? Why is that? They could get Bawb and I better rates than those you were able to get for October. I don't remember the specific rate, but maybe Bawb will be back before me and can tell you. She has the email. They gave us a AAA rate, not even AAA themselves could do that too. WEIRD!

Anyhow, let's see what you can come up with for 12/24-12/31/04. Two adults, 2 kids (5 and 1). Pop Century or All Star Sports. I need cheap. I may buy and AP or AAA to help with rates. ???

Cute story tink_sparkles. I can just picture a bunch of little ones screaming at the tv commercial. Makes me laugh.

The Swap: A while back someone, I think it was Lewski709, suggested we do a round-robin kind of swap. But there were questions about getting the box around to everyone, showing what everyone got, getting the box back to the original person, etc. ohanafamily then jumped in and suggested we do a swap where everyone gets a little something from everyone else. He even volunteered to host it. And so our first TAGLIARCHY was "born". Everyone participating was supposed to get a set of stuff together for each of the other participants. (The set of stuff was to include a postcard from the area they live, a small item representative of the area they live in, and/or a small item representative of themself.) They then packed all that stuff up, included return postage and a return address label and sent it to ohanafamily (and myself). We spent the weekend swapping everything out and got the boxes back in the mail to everyone this week.

The reason everyone is so excited is that most have been waiting weeks for this to get back to them. We had a few glitches that caused the return to be delayed a bit, but from everyone's reactions it looks like the wait was worth it. I'm sure we'll do this again some time so maybe you'll want to join in then. (Just a word of warning, even with the $3/pp in the swap max it added up. We had 20 people in the swap, so approx $60 -give or take- plus shipping both ways.)

Well DH is finally home so I can really un pack the box now and have a good look.

DH has been really busy at work lately with school concerts, exams and reports for children so we haven't been able to spend that much time together. We live close to my school so I can get home easier, plus a lot of my job I can do at home where as DH needs to spend more time at school but has less work to do when he gets home!!

Oh well he is back now and he bought me a bunch a roses which is sweet.

1, your virus scan might be corrupted, so you should download and run their free scan....Turn your virus scanner off (temperarily) and remember, do not go any place except straight to the Mcafee website, and do not open any e-mails...You are not only Nekkid, you are unprotected...

Go To http://us.mcafee.com/default.asp
There is a section... Free Tools, and a SCAN NOW button. This will take a while to load, but will do a full scan of your computer.

2. Lavasoft does not always find and fix everything with Adware, you might load and run Spybot Search and destroy (download it from cnet, tucows etc...)

3. Load that file I gave the link to into a new subdirectory (c:\IESetup), Start, Run and paste this into the Run Line...
C:\IESetup\ie6setup /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d:1 /s:""#E"""
After it downloads the file, from the Run Line type in
c:\IESetup\ie6wzd.exe
This will manually install IE6....

Ummm-Er-Umm We anticipated a few postages lower, and didn't want anyone to feel like we were after the extra postage, so we kind of footed the bill for the people who sent us a little too little, and made it worthwhile for the people who sent us too much...so, in answer to the few PM's I have gotten, no need to send us any extra (except for the one who forgot the postage all together...)
I figured about $14.00 per box, except for the UK one. We sent that one the expensive route because we really wanted DanaUK to get it before the Peeps (and other chocolate spoiled)

As I said earlier, we had great fun doing this, but RRBB feels we should wait a little while before the next one.

As for the last two (CourtasanSatine, and HuggaBaloo) I sent them the items that were left over as per the PMs I got, and as per what everyone said they wanted back. I hope I did OK and didn't send someone the stuff back that they wanted fwded on to one of them...PM me or RRBB if I made no sense and I will exlplain the disposition of your Stuff.....

Oh, there were 2 people we didn't get the return postage in your box, we will sort that out this weekend, and may need to get your address again...(My ooops)

Also, If you look under the flap, there is a hidden picture of Nephosaurus holding somthing.....
