Good morning all, only 2 1/2 pages to catch up on over night, what happened? I guess everyone was having so much fun with their swap boxes they didn't have time to post!!
I'm not looking forward to today at work. Firstly it is still raining so the kids will probably be in all day which is not good. Secondly my assistant will be late in this morning and has to leave early!! Never mind. And thirdly the infants (5-7 year olds) are using the hall all day for some party type thing so we can not have our afternoon assembly which means I have to find something for them to do for the last 40 minutes. Oh well, they are doing art this afternoon so we can always carry on with that.

Have a great day everyone. I'll pop in quickly after work but am going out this evening. It is one of the teachers 30th birthday so we are going out for a meal and then back to one of the other teachers houses for some drinks.

Have a great day everyone.

:wave2:

Hi.....I'm still up! But off to bed very soon. Sent you a PM.
Have a great day in "jolly old"

Morning. You are an early bird this am IBOUNCE!!

haven't time to read the posts getting the kids ready for school. Will pop in later.

Krispy Kremes and hot choc this am. No time to cook.

BTW Sam did a fab job last night in the play. Sooooo funny.

Good morning everybody! Thanks for the donuts CMOM!

Who watched Survivor last night? So glad whiney Shi-Ann is gone. I'm betting on Rupert going next unless he gets immunity.

I'm still working on planning--we are going to use a lot of counter service--and hopefully Beaches and Cream too.

Our favorite counter service this last trip was Pecos Bill. Oh and we always love Pizzafari at the AK. They have really good sandwiches that are big enough for two. When we ate at Beaches and Cream our bill was higher than the one for Rose&Crown! And we didn't even get dessert! Daniel had a malt with his hot dog, in lieu of a pop. It was huge, DH had to finish it off for him. Ella didn't order, she just shared with everybody. Have you eaten there before? We really liked it, just were surprised at how much it was, had planned on it being one of our cheap meals. The burgers were really tasty and you should definetly order the onion rings.::yes::

I'm going to get my swap bags out again, didn't get to spend much time on them last night.

Hope your day goes better than expected Danauk!
:wave2:

Morning thanks for the donuts.. I brought some bagels and cream cheese too. Coffe and Hot Chocolate with whipped cream

NC Belle.. re Beaches and Cream... IMHO Tinkbackwards had her priorities backwards.. eat dessert FIRST.. we went for the ice cream.. there is no sense in spoiling your appetite with food ..

as for counter service we like Cosmic Rays at MK.and the food court at the land in Epcot. The only place we have eaten at MGM is Sci Fi and that was fun... BTW I bring sandwiches and snacks with me, since the counter service can be pricey for the 4 of us.. at $6 per burger plus milk etc.our bill ca get to be $30 fast and the kids are still hungry..this gets to be a bit much.. a PB&J in the bag works real well..

Good Morning everyone!

Thanks for the breakfast cheeringmom! It hit the spot!!

I'm gonna go get a Racing Form today so I can pick all my horses for the races tomorrow. Anyone want to bet the Derby?

kadaten, have a great trip! Be careful on the road.

cadburysmom, I say "GET THE AP". You only live once, right? Go for it!

I would also like to express my embarrassment at the writing on the back of my postcards. I was rushed & my penmanship is not very good to begin with.

ibouncetoo, you have great penmanship. I am jealous.

Have a great day everyone!

OMG the swap box was fantastic. My jaws hurt I was smiling so much. Of course DD jumped on the chocolate. So picture me sitting on my bed while the kids are downstairs watching POTC and I'm eating the chocolate looking through the bags. I can't tell you how fantastic it made me feel. I can't even tell which is my favorite its been so much fun.

OK now to brag, my DN will be going to UMass/Dartmouth!

ANd the big news my DS is going through a wonderful phase and has been behaving like the angel he is. His teacher is thrilled.

Oh and good morning.

ibouncetoo, I sent you a PM, but I just want to second what Deadheadbelle said on both counts.

My handwriting is the pits and it too was made worse by my hurrying.

AND you need to be given either a tag or a line in your siggie that says -
"Has the best handwriting in the TAGLIARCHY and possibly in the whole entire world!"

I am so jealous of neat handwriting and yours is off the charts!

I'll be lurking this morning. I have sent a PM to everybody in the swap, be sure and check for it.

Bya!

But at dinner tonight we started throwing around the idea of a "The kids are finally back in school so lets do another Tagliarchy Swap" around mid-September. How's that sound? Of course we still have a few months to refine the idea.

How about a Kid's swap??? :teeth:

geffric Thanks for the yummy breakfast!:) Did you book another cruise while on your Disney cruise? We did and I checked the cruise rates today for friends who want to go with us next Jan and the rate had already gone up $800 and that's not including onboard credit  so glad I booked while onboard but feel bad for my friends for having to pay the higher price:(

llebrekniT Thanks for the pm and putting him on your "list" ;)

Deadheadbelle Your Derby party sounds like fun....I always invision everyone in Kentucky standing around in big hats, sipping mint juleps and looking like :snooty:.....I'd love to be there with you tomorrow. We went to Pimlico (part of the triple crown) one year and I wore a big hat and sat with the :snooty: people but am embarrassed to say the drinks were a bit more potent than expected and I don't remember much

s&ksmomCongrats on DN and good luck with DS, may all boys go thru those stages more often:teeth:

No problem, thanks for offering him up!;)

And you are exactly right, except the hat part! I don't even own a big hat. DHB wears a hat every now and again, but it's a Boston Red Sox baseball cap. Today is Ky Oaks day, "Lillies for the fillies". Tomorrow will be fun, more fun for DHB and the in-laws who do the whole day long Derby thing. We just come for the big race at the end of the day.

Ohana - just wanted to let you know that Ella is dancing herself silly.;)

Um, does this involve wearing big hats and drinking potent substances as well? Sounds just like my cup of tea!;)

Just checking in before I shut down the 'puter and go get Abbie :)
Had to turn off email notification....
If my PM box gets full, email me at myDISusername@cox.net

Sounds great!!! Maybe a little out we should throw out some ideas for the theme so those of us who obsess can have a little extra time to devote to it :)

Thanks EVERYONE for all our swap goodies! Between packing and the kids I haven't had time for individual "thank yous" like I normally would do....but will when I get back!

I'll kiss Mickey for everyone :) DH just started the van (oops) so I better run!

So, who's going to do my recap when I get back? :)

Buh bye!

Morning kids!
Bouncing in to grab some coffee then hit the shower.
Boy, this week went fast. Today is supposed to be lunch with the bosses (didn't happen on Wed). Hoping for that card with $$ (as we've always gotten one in the past).

Which reminds me, RRBB can you recommend a place (store or web site) to get Disney paper. I want to make some envelopes to tuck 'found' money in for the October trip. This time I want to do an envelope for each special event or special meal (Crystal Palace breakfast, Boma dinner and the like). I think what I may do also, is anytime I'm out and "pass" on an activity or meal out, I'm going to put the equivilent $$ aside for WDW. It worked with dieting ("no thank you, I'd rather have a Zebra Dome) so why not with saving!?!

Deadheadbelle and llebrekniT about the handwriting....Calligraphy class had a lot to do with it! Even when not using Italian Gothic printing, just slowing down with regular handwriting AND USING A CALLIGRAPHY PEN really helps. Trust me, my 'everyday' handwriting is pretty darn messy....ask my co-workers!

Oh llebrekniT, forgot to answer your question in the PM about my postcard. That Mt. is in the heart of Phoenix. I can't see it from my house (but can plenty of others) and the view in this card is not the traditional one they usually use in postcards. This shot is taken from the west looking east so you can see the "Praying Monk". On the far left of the photo you see a blob sticking up with a smaller blob on top. This is the praying monk....looks like a man in a cloak kneeling and facing the mountain....there are better shots of than this one. Traditionally you see shots from the south looking north to better show the 'camel' lying down...really does look like one! I drive past it everyday on my way to work.

Speaking of which, I'd better hit the shower.....it's causal Friday...should I wear a Disney t-shirt today? Oh, I know, my red team Mickey baseball shirt!!

Later TAGLIKINS

Messy? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_3_60.gif' border=0></a> Nope not going to buy it. Don't believe a word.

And - I see him! I see him! Neat.

kadaten, have a great time, I'll be hoping for good weather for you, no waits on rides and lots of good meals. Oh and little kids who fall asleep the minute their heads hit the hotel pillow.

cadburysmum, how is your little niece and how goes the babysitting?

Back soon!

Hi, Deadheadbelle, I'm going to have to go with Minister Eric ridden by Pat Day. I don't know much about the more recent jockeys, but I'm very sentimental about the horses ridden by jockeys I used to watch each year growing up. The only Derby I was able to attend was the last time Willie Shoemaker won a Derby and that was incredible. I know the odds aren't good, but since Pat is getting to be an "old man," I'm with him.

What are we betting? Chocolate?

:)

Good morning everyone...

I guess I missed kadaten - does anyone remember how long she'll be gone? I can't do an update every day like the Update Queen, llebrekniT, but if we split up the days between us, I'd be happy to do one of the days. Anyone else wanna pick a day?

Good breakfast, geffric and Cheeringmom. Thanks!

As far as my handwriting goes... I won't be asked to write out wedding invitations any time soon (in this lifetime). But now I wish I had done a letter to include in my swap bag. Next time I'll do better!

ALERT! Some of my chocolate is missing from my swap bags! I think either DD15 or DH did it... something about "saving me from myself." I believe it refers to my big butt and I am on a rampage. Don't they know you don't hide chocolate from a PMS'ing 40+ woman??? :headache:

s&k'smom - congrats on the brilliant DN, and super congrats on DS's current success. We have to hold on to the memories of those days to get us through the "other" ones, don't we?

I think I missed sending you PD for your DN, and for your DBIH  . My heart aches for your family, cadburysmom On a brighter note, how do they handle the future cruise bookings on the ship? Do they tell you how much you will save (i.e. 25%, 5%?). Is there only a certain hour or two that you can sign up, or is it the whole cruise? I'm trying to talk DH into doing that while we're aboard, but all he does is look at the money. Dang.... some things are priceless, you know???

"How about a Kid's swap???" ... geffric Sounds good, which one of mine do you want? I just wouldn't want to leave anyone out who doesn't have a kid to swap, you know? ;)

Gotta go do housework. Some Conga party last night... (NOT!!!) where were you all, especially Lewski709whoneedsanewjobsoshecanbeatthepoolwhenIam?

Good afternoon everyone. Where is everyone today, it is really quiet!
I zoomed out of work today (OK I left 40 minutes after the kids which is zooming for me as I usually stay for another 2 1/2 hours after the kids have gone. Plus it is a bank holiday weekend which means school is closed on Monday so don't go back until Tuesday :teeth:
My day was better than I thought. It didn't rain too much so the kids were able to go out at playtime and they weren't too loud today.
I won't be around this evening as it is a co workers birthday so we are going out for a meal and drinks (which is why I zoomed home as I want to have a relax, have a bath wash my hair etc.) One of the other teachers is coming to pick me up in 2 hours so I can have some peace and quiet first (some of the other teachers went straight to the pub from work!)
