Is it starting to sink in with the boys yet? Or does it need to be like a week away?

Yeah, they're getting excited. The older two, especially, have a pretty good grasp of how long a week (or three) is. DS8 asks me every day "How many more days?" and when I tell him, he's always so excited!

I feel like I am at a complete loss of words today. My brain is only firing on one cylinder and that one is sputtering. Spark plugs are about gone. I don't sleep when hubby isn't in the house.

To the contrary, no how much I miss him, I DO sleep when hubby isn't in the house....he's a snorer and I'm a light sleeper!!

I don't sleep well alone in my house either. I hear every little noise.

Me too! I am a horribly light sleeper. I have to sleep with a loud fan to block out other noises. Though I doubt it will block out the thunder from the upcoming Tropical Storm.

I use an air cleaner instead of a fan. I need one in my room anyway. I find it difficult to sleep somewhere else without one, especially camping. I need a portalbe air cleaner or white noise machine to take places with me. Places with electricity that is. Can't very well bring one into the woods.

That's why I only like to Disney camp. All the tent sites have water and electric. That way I can plug in my fan to block out all that nature.

Overcast. If you look at the storm path, we're on the left of the storm. The lone area of Florida apparently not hit. Since it's a tropical storm, there's just rain, high winds, and possibility of tornadic activity.

WooHoo LegoMom!! I guess vacation count downs are about the only time we can be thankful for teens.

Mean Queen...glad you are safe!! We may get a few of Fays rements here. We are hoping for rain, rain, rain. Just like in Fl. our lakes are really low. But guess what? There is another one out there to look at already. Gustav. Looks like this season is going to be a bit busy.

We need the rain here too. So I don't mind the Tropical Storms. I just hate when the news stations go overboard on the coverage making people panic for no reason. It was coming at us as a tropical storm, not a cat 3. As a former news person, this was one of the reasons I left. I hate "crying wolf."

I've noticed that with this storm. It has been hyped really bad. It's track has been really interesting though.

I bet you could have guessed that our lakes are much higher than normal for this time of year. Oh look, it's raining again. We had 2 nice days in a row.

Getting ready to take my son to the orthodontist and go grocery shopping. Good thing my mother wanted to go grocery shopping too b/c my daughter has field hockey practice. My car can't be in 2 places at once.
