Anyone ever done a solo trip? I'd really like a little break sometime. I need a vacation from work. And by that time it'll be close to IEP season and I'll really need a break. So what do you all think?

Most of my trips have been solo trips and I LOVE IT!!!
What I want to do.
When I want to do it.
Nothing better. :goodvibes

So what is it like there in October? More specifically, call me anal for wanting to start packing 2 months ahead, but here I am. It's time to weed out summer play clothes and I will be buying Mickey crocs next week. I want to know if I should just put the summer shorts into the Disney box or not.

It varies, but I'm generally still wearing shorts in October. By Halloween, it's up in the air. Some years it's hot, some it's cool and I can turn the a/c off. I didn't turn the a/c off last year until mid to late November. :headache: So I recommend saving some of those summer play clothes for your trip.

That's how it is here. Sometimes it'll be cool by Halloween, but for the most part, it's so hot, the kids roast in their costumes. Thanks so much for your advice. I knew I could count on the Disney expert/Florida resident :)

Oh sure, here you are Smileybug.....hiding amongst the tagless folk.... Bug me yet again about my PTR and then run away, huh?!

Wait a minute...YOU are TAGGED TOO!!:rotfl:

My 90 year old dad was riding his bike today and fell off. He broke his foot in two places and had to have surgery to place a metal plate and screws in the bones. So I have been at the hospital all afternoon. Haven't been home to long. The worst thing about the whole thing is (he doesn't know yet) he is going to have to spend 6 weeks in a rehab center. He CAN NOT put weight on the foot for that long. And NONE of US trust him. Knowing him he would be in his garden the day the hospital released him:rotfl:

You know, that is so NOT funny, but at the same time funny. I'm picturing my uncle Mac (who was 92 when he was hit by a car before Christmas) riding a bicycle, and I can SO see him doing it! :rotfl:

I was trying hard not to laugh, but since I had your permission. . .

It's sad the way we lost Uncle Mac, but the funny thing is when the ambulance came to get him, he grabbed the EMS worker and told him to watch after "all his girls". He had to have 20 little girl friends all over town. And when dh's mom moved in to town, he even asked if he could come and call on her. :rotfl: He missed his wife after he lost her, but it did not stop him from entertaining all of the ladies in town. I know the exact type of person your dad must be. You've got your hands full.

:scared1:

DD just found out that the people who moved into the house down the road is the gym teacher and his wife.

Tinkerbellarella, since you weren't with us over the last few days, and didn't bother to catch up....:rolleyes1 You missed my post about the bag! Here's a link to it:

Hey Tink!...I have a bag!!

I have also since discovered that the bag I wanted from Target....can be ordered on-line...:headache: If I could justify the shipping charges, I'd go for it. But I just can't.

Today.

I hope your dad recovers quickly. But I have a feeling he'll be fighting proper recovery.

Stubborn and pig headed, for a minute there I thought you were talking about my father.:lmao: I hope he takes it easy.

Oh, I forgot to say.......

Good Morning

I have to leave for work in about 40 mins. and I haven't heard from my TA yet re: my change of plans......:scared: This will haunt me for the entire time I'm out of the house and away from my computer.

I'm figuring either a) she had yesterday off and hasn't gotten my e-mail yet, or b) she's having a heck of a time trying to find another ADR and smoke is coming from her keyboard as she frantically types away at different options to no avail!! :rotfl:

Well, just checking in here. Hope y'all have a great day!
