....hi-i-i-i-i-i-i, Ingrid.....
As you know, I ended up with three boys. This thrilled me because I wanted boys and - *gasp!* - never wanted any girls!!! You wouldn't believe how many people just couldn't wrap their brains around that one.... I got the "are you going to try for a girl?" question more times than I care to remember. So, is my life somehow incomplete without both genders??
.
I get asked all the time if I'm going to go for that boy. I tell them I had to have the shop all closed up after the last pregnancy almost killed me. Besides, I don't want a third, I'd probably just end up with another girl and I never really wanted a boy.![]()
Tarzanskat.... WHOO HOOO! BED REST!!! I could use about 3 months of bed rest right now... No.. make it 4 months, then that will put me right up to my trip! Most important take care of the little guy. but it just gives you more DIS time... I never cared about the gender either, but everyone assumed once we had the boy we would stop, but we went for one more and ended up with 2 and 2. I also didn't find out the gender until they were born, except the last one, but that was just because I had to go for extra tests and stuff.. all is well, but I was sure when I had the 2 girls, the 3rd would be a girl too... I was surprised he was a boy, but also I was like, I don't know what to do with a boy... I only have girls. I remember a dream I had vividly while I was pregnant with him, that the doctor said it's going to be a boy, now what are you going to do,,, and I was told him, no, check again, it has to be a girl, I don't make boys. Now... I wish I had them 1st.. cause, I don't care what anybody says... Boys are harder... so I wish I was younger when I had them... Sometimes, I feel like I give up, I'm totally outnumbered! well good luck... get that rest. stay off your feet, and drink lots of water esp. when it's hot.
....but can you get miffed AND perturbed at the same time??![]()
Ok, really??!....this little guy isn't even here yet and already you're being asked this question?!!![]()

My dear best friend was the same way. She wanted boys and ended up with 2. I think she was too afraid of the teen years if she had a daughter. I might have had something to do with that fear.![]()
I know several women that felt the same way. They wanted girls and that's it, NO boys. Then the shock, they gave birth to a boy. Then they realized (some took longer than others) how special a Mother/son bond can be. It's not really something that can be explained. Maybe it's special like a Dad/daughter bond. Different feeling I'm sure, but both special in their own way. I too had a daughter and when I was pregnant for my 2nd thought, I just soon I have another girl. Out popped a boy.
I won't be surprised if I get put on bed rest. And if that's the best thing for me, and it's meant to be, then I accept it, you know? What else can I do?

....Someone want to explain the mystery in that? Just because I HAVE ovaries doesn't mean I HAVE to use them...
OMG, Tink, I wish I was the Tag Fairy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmmph. You'll be begging for a Big Mike fan when you're sweating to death at Disney.
When I was reading her post, this is what I repeated inside my head.

Pitching a hissy is always fun. Cathartic even.![]()
My name is Tinkerbellarella and I'm a DIS-a-holic.
And in line with all the baby talk, I totally get the gender questions and how irritating they can be...do you know what it's like hearing, over and over, "What do you MEAN you don't want kids?"
I don't want kids. I think that's pretty straightforward, no? I love them. And I love to give them back. Having one 24/7 just isn't for me.

Oh, now we're airing all my dirty laundry, eh?![]()
Hi, I'm Tinkerbellarella and I'm a DISaholic and Queen of Pitching Hissies.
You know what? I know I'm the minority, but I have a profound respect for people who realize they don't want children, like you, and my sister. If you know in your heart that's it not for you, then I think, okay, it's not for them. Just because I love having my kids doesn't mean that everyone else should want or would love it. KWIM?
No, I should've clarified.
::ahem::
Reason #11,598 that I love you.![]()
....I don't get it

And these are the days when I'm thankful you're NOT the TF.![]()
