I loved SE exactly the way it was, so I'm very apprehensive over the changes! I love listening to the ride-through on Live365, or even watching my Relive the Magic DVD (most of it's quite dark, but you still get the effect). Does Rome still burn and can you still smell the smoke?! Love that part!

Yes, Rome still burns and you can smell it. I really like the new ending. My DD was always afraid of riding backwards. The new interactive end kept her mind off of being backwards. She was also interested in the new stuff about the start of computers. It was fun and educational, just like Epcot when I was a kid.

PaMom001 I had been without power for 25 hours. Those people who live in the midwest, I feel your pain. I WANT SPRING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:scared1: 25 hours! Hope Winter isn't too brutal for you.

Wow...25 hours. We lost our power quite a few times during the 2004 hurricane season. Total opposite of a snow storm though! Good thing I wasn't a DIS'er then, or I would probably have been dying!

Hello all! Can you believe it's less than a week to Christmas? I have lots of wrapping to do. Then we have to pack for Hilton Head.

Heading north, eh?....what's the matter, too hot for ya in Florida?!:rotfl: You can have the 5-below that I had this morning!! Unbelievable. These are late January/February temps!

I've got all but one thing wrapped so far (still a few more things to pick up this week). I love wrapping. DH does not. So I wrap everthing except for what he gets me! I also got hat boxes for everyone this year. We're packing their gifts inside the boxes, and giving them like that. I picked out a cute teddy bear one for my MIL (she loves them) and a faux embossed-leather box for my BIL and his wife.

Tonight we have the kids' holiday program at the school so I won't be around until later, if at all! How's everyone today?!

Somehow I don't think Hilton Head will be much different weather wise than what we have here. But we like staying that the DVC there for New Year's. It's very low points, very high fun, and oh so relaxing. And we all need some relaxing after the holidays.

A whole day and no posts ...? I guess everyone is busy with last minute Christmas shopping. I haven't even started. :rotfl:

Hope you're all doing well.

I'm here! I took advantage of being home today and did a major clean-up job in the boys' bedroom. I hate disorganization!! And the thought of them getting new stuff at Christmas and bringing it into that disaster of a room...well, it was too much! Normally I do have them clean their own room, but once in a while I need to get in there and "purge." My next project is the basement... :crazy2:

So we are getting MORE snow tonight....! No doubt about it, we'll have a white Christmas.

Friday DH and I are going to do our last-minute shopping together. Other than stocking-stuffers, we just need to find a CD player for DS11.

Well I've rambled on aimlessly long enough! Where is everyone?! It's someone else's turn to babble!:upsidedow

I'm here. I made hopefully my last trip to Target today. I had to get more boxes for wrapping and a bunch of gift bags for DD's friends gifts. You just can't wrap Webkinz. I also found more stuff for my girls which is always my problem with shopping early. I don't usually stop until Christmas. So the earlier I start, the more I buy.

I found these neat little square boxes in my wrapping supplies, left over from last year, that were perfect for my three Webkinz!

Now, my challenge is finding a box for the PS2 and all its accessories!

The box from my dad with the mint M&Ms should be arriving tomorrow!!

Metro West, I LOVE your avatar!! :goodvibes

Ok, enough with the niceties....I need a major vent this morning. First, last night I discovered a water stain on our dining room ceiling. Anyone who owns a house in a cold climate knows that means one thing, and one thing only: ice damming on the roof. Bad enough to deal with on its own, and an outright nightmare if you're trying to sell the house. Then, this morning we are in the middle of a fairly substantial snow event, and never mind that EVERY town or district surrounding us for 50 miles or more has, at the very least, a 2-hr. school delay (if not closed entirely), OUR holier-than-thou district didn't call it!!! They are OPEN and running busses on these crappy roads!!! My DH ended up driving DS11 to school and the secretary there could not believe it was business as usual. I'll bet that Super is getting an earfull this morning!

My poor DS8 was out there, covered head to toe in snow and bundled up like the little brother in A Christmas Story, and looks at me and says emphatically, "I want to move to Florida!!!!"

So do I, sweetie....So do I!:sad2:

We are starting to move today!!!   I will be off for a while. We haven't decided on a cable provider yet. Because we live somewhat in the "country" we do not have alot to choose from. I'm scared we are going to end up with something slow. :scared1: Please keep us in your happy thoughts. And I will be back just as soon as I can. DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Good luck with your move! I hope to see your Smileybug posts on here again soon... and at a decent internet speed. :rotfl:

LEGOMOM - Come on down! Our cool front is over. We're now forecasted in the mid-70's for as far as they can see. Though we also get those big spots in our ceilings, but it's usually flooding from a hurricane or tropical storm. :headache: Hope yours doesn't mess up the sale of the house.

Not a chance!! Hope all goes well. Will you be fully in there by Christmas? That would be nice!

Yeah...come on down. We have plenty of houses for sale. :rotfl:

Thanks LegoMom! I love the Peanuts gang!

Mean Queen: does an annual pass run for the calendar year, or 12 months from the day you buy it? Like, if you buy one in April, do you really only get 8 months out of it or will it be good until the following April??

Just got off the phone with my dad. My DH may be taking a long weekend down there next month! He needs a get-away badly, but could also do some fact-finding!

Well I'm off to do more scrap booking....still haven't finished MIL's pages and I'm running out of time!

An annual pass or seasonal pass at Disney is a full year, not a calendar year. That means we know at the end of each May, we're going to be hit with a big bill. The fun passes sold at Sea World and Busch Gardens are by calendar year but much less expensive than the WDW passes. But then, they aren't Disney now are they? princess:

Hope the scrapping is going well.

The thing that really bothers me about Disney is the fact that they don't offer the flex-pay option like the other parks. Universal, Sea World and Busch Gardens all have flex-pay but not Disney. $300 is a lot to come up with at one time. :sad2:
