We've gotten about 1/2 inch of snow so far.

Sounds like you're getting the system that's on its way to us - except when it gets here, as usual it's meeting up with another and giving us a doozy of a storm. A Nor'easter they call them, since they tend to back in on us from the ocean (northeast) and dump lots of snow and/or rain.

But I have a well-stocked pantry and plan to settle in and watch the Pats play tomorrow (home game...in the snow!).

I'm here (for what it's worth) DH & I just got back from buying MORE Christmas lights. He thinks we'll be putting them up tomorrow - it's raining here now and they are threatening us with a "wintery mix", so we'll see.

I'm here! We took the girls to see Santa today. Here's a tip: don't go right before their lunch break. They aren't quite as jolly as you would expect, especially the elves. We got ok pictures, but I wish we had a bit more time for the little one to get used to him. She wasn't screaming and crying, but she is sitting between him and her sister clutching her chest with a look of fear on her face. If we had more time, I know she would have smiled eventually.

I would love a wintery mix. It has been unseasonably warm here. (in the 80's) We are finally getting a little rain today. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and cold. I'm looking forward to it.

When my tags finally came, none were from any post where I felt I was being funny... except my "a whole zoo" comment. Welcome to the group! Many of us tagless wonders are now formerly tagless, but it's always nice to have some new people to the thread to help spur on wittiness for the untagged.

What state are you in Smiley? It's been the 80's down here in FL as well. The weather forecast claims tomorrow will be a high in the 50's now. Yeah, I'll believe it when I feel it. A 30 degree drop in one day seems pretty drastic for this far South.

I'm in S.C. About 6 hours from the WDW. And the weather has been a little odd here. I just can't get over how warm it has been. I'm like you. I will believe the cold weather when I feel it.

I'll be in your neck of the woods over New Year's. We're staying at the Hilton Head DVC for 5 nights. My DD keeps hoping that since it's north of here, she'll get to see snow. But DH noticed temps there were similar to the ones here! He now wants to just head north until we see snow then drive back down to Hilton Head.

Has anyone ever seen Jon & Kate+8? I was just watching some of it! Its a show about a (real) couple who has 6 year old twin girls and 3 year old sextuplets! I got stressed out just watching it. Well, theres an episode coming on Tuesday at 10pm where they go to WDW.

My dad was in Wilmington, NC at that time and I remember that! I flew down the day after Christmas and there was still some snow hanging around. Weird!

"High strung" is putting it nicely!! I've watched brief - and I stress brief - segments of this show and just can't do it. She is always hen-pecking her poor husband, like he's stupid and can't do anything right. Witchy.

Well you southern people ought to count your blessings with your weather. We're socked in with a major snow storm right now, which will change over to sleet and freezing rain before it's all over. Do you have any idea what a coating of ice on top of snow does to trees and power lines and ROADS?!! So, I'm going to keep the coffee pot brewing today, do some more scrap booking for MIL's gift, and wrap some presents! I guess if it's "beginning to look a lot like Christmas" I may as well get in the spirit!
