How early are your ressies? I generally try to avoid driving to MK. I hate parking there, taking the tram, then having to jump on either the ferry or the monorail. I always try to take the buses because it drops you off and picks you up right in front of the park. I'd probably take the bus to MK, then walk over to the CR. It's not that far from the bus station and cuts out the to and from to the TTC.

Now that I read more and saw you have 7 am ressies, I'd like to say first that you are crazy to get up that early. Second, you only get a 3-hour parking pass when you go to eat at the CR (or any other resort you aren't staying at.) So you would have to move your car. I'd still say take the bus, walk to the CR, and maybe be a few minutes late for your dining time. Does the park open at 9 or is it EMH that day? If it's 9, you should have time to eat and walk back.

7am. I know--bad time--but if you knew my kids. . .they will be up at 4am that morning, I assure you.

I used to let the people on the internet get to me. Maybe it's the antidepressants or maybe it's just something else, but I honestly don't care what they think anymore. If I disagree, I state I disagree and go on. Life's too short to let someone in cyberspace ruin my Pooh-perfect day :goodvibes

Can I have soon of your pills. :goodvibes Pretty please.

I only work part-time, and except for the holiday season, I don't even often work all 5 days per week. So it's not like I'm dropping a full-time, salaried position. I only got this job last fall, so we're used to living without it. We have had one expense come up since then that we have to figure out how to deal with, but I do think we can do it. We live in a modest (at best!) house, don't have a ton of debt, live modestly and within our means, and try to be careful with our money.

My feelings are, I had time to do lots of stuff before we had kids (including a "career" - put in quotes because I never did find a job that I really loved) and I'll have time to pursue that again when they are older. But my time with them now, when they are young, is going by SO fast. I will never regret having to tighten the financial belt a little so that I can be with them more!

.

We all have to do what works best for us. Regardless of what home and or career choices we make. We are all different and thats what makes all so unique. I have always been a SAHM. There were times that hubby worked two jobs for me to stay home. But that worked for us. It wouldn't work for alot of people. I think the biggest thing we need to do as women is support each other in what ever our choices are. Lets face it. Being a SAHM can be really tough. But being a working mom is tough too. Wow, I don't know where all that came from. :confused3 :lmao:

Well, it looks like you have made your decision. Congrats and I wish you the best. :goodvibes :goodvibes You are right--the career will be there later. Your family should come first.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. SUPPORT, SUPPORT, SUPPORT!! You go girl!! :goodvibes

Opens at 9--I am not doing any EMHs. Part of me thinks I'm crazy--the other part knows my kids. Last night they were up until 11pm. They spent all day outside in 90 degree heat, took no naps. What time did they wake me up this morning asking for breakfast? 6am. MK is our 2nd day and the day before we are spending the least commando day possible at DHS.

I don't think dh wants me without those happy pills. :rotfl:

Women can be so critical of each other. But I don't know many women who don't put their family first. I work, but I can assure you that if it comes to a choice between what's best fo rmy career and what's best fo rmy family, my family is going to win out 100% of the time. As long as your family is coming first, you can't go wrong. No matter what your career choice is.

It's too easy to snap at people these days. I think you should think before you act/speak and always employ the golden rule. And I can't think of a time that the Golden Rule translated as being anything but supportive.

There, I'll get off of my soapbox now. Somebody else can take over.

Now here I am talking about us supporting each other and you won't share. :rotfl:

I just think in today's time we all need each other more than ever.

You know, maybe I'm too nice for the Tag fairy to notice me. . .

The tag fairy seems to like it best when we just let go and get really silly. (Within the Dis guidelines of course!!:thumbsup2 ):lmao:

You don't have to be mean, just say something really dumb that you'll have to explain over and over again, once it's a tag!! (didn't Smileybug say that already?!?...)

Also, I just want to say here that I hope no one took my ramblings about staying home as a jab at those who don't...! I totally agree that we all need to do what's best for us and our families, and every family is different. I'm just trying to come to terms with my own decision and sometimes putting down in print can help sort out thoughts, y'know?!

Ok, my cat is now sitting on my mouse pad and trying to nibble the mouse cord.... Nah, he doesn't own me...!:rotfl2:

You have to be able to think things through. I think we know each other enough to be a pretty good sounding board for each other. And some decisions are harder to make than others. Like your decision to let your cat sit on the mouse pad and nibble at your mouse cord.:rolleyes1 Personally I think you are in denial in a big way if you really believe he doesn't own you. :rotfl2:

I just realized what you said about saying dumb stuff. I don't say dumb stuff. I like to refer to it as witty!! :rotfl2: I am a lady after all.::yes:: :rotfl:

That reminds me of our dog. Yesterday we caught him actually trying to walk on 2 feet and he expects a plate of food to be made for him when everyone else is serving dinner. . .

Then I guess I'm just too serious.

And I suppose it's no accident that he starts messin' with stuff at 5:00am, and that he's not waking me up on purpose, and that the minute I do get up he goes and sits by the pantry, where his food and treats are kept....!

Well, here is the face I have to try to resist.... As a cat lover, I find it near impossible!!:rotfl:

Just looking at that face he's giving you while you are taking the pics of him, I can tell you he owns you, not the other way around.

Just stick with us. We will have you saying dumb...er...I mean witty stuff in no time. :thumbsup2

He is absolutely precious. I couldn't deny him anything either. :goodvibes

No, pretty much I don't.... *sigh* Oh well! He's not allowed on eating surfaces like the kitchen counters or the table, but other than that, he goes where he wants (he's on top of the upper cabinets in the picture!!....that was actually last summer when we had awful fleas, and he would go up high to try to get away - poor thing didn't realize they were on him and not the floor!).

.

You are SOOOO right!!:rotfl2:

.

No worries. I am owned by 3 cats. Well, 2 1/2. Goofy isn't a normal cat, he doesn't have the 'tude most cats do. Plus, he likes to jump in the bath when the girls are in there.
