You could do a small team album and then put the gift card in that- Our team didn't collect for one gift so I needed something that wouldn't cost alot- I made an album that cost me about $10-12 which fit right into my budget but could be done cheaper (I just get a little carried away with scrapbooking stickers).
I bought a small photo album ($1 from big lots)

that had plastic cover. I put a 4x8 piece of paper inside the cover (to hide the ugly gray album

) with a big soccer ball, the league, team name and season on it.
Then on the inside put pictures of all of the kids (7 on our team)-
1st page was a team photo
Then ie Shirley #2 by herself - I decorated the pages with soccer balls, shoes and put a star on each one- and then the facing page was an action shot of her and I repeated this for each child.
After the team was done I put a blank 4x6 card (decorated the edges) and Put Thank You Coach Matthew across the top and had each child write their names.
Then I put pictures of action shots of the coach with the kids giving them instructions, etc. The last page was a picture of the coach's wife with a little phone sticker and a special thanks for all of her work-
As a little extra, behind the name card I put 2 coupons for the 5 free 2 L of coke - wonder where I got those

- and instructions to tell the grocery clerk!
The Coach said he'd gotten many gifts over the years, but this was the most special- It made me feel good to give something unique and that didn't break my budget!
