Swimming in Bay Lake, and I may dump my Disney Hating Sister in with me.

These are great pictures!!! I've only seen pictures of the Grand Canyon and I've only seen it on t.v., but I can imgaine that it would be very overwhelming! I see things in nature like that and many other things and think what an amazing God there is to create such beauty, and then to know that He thinks we are his master works of art....just puts me into a whole other tail spin!! :faint: :goodvibes

I got a new camera, and I was happy with the pictures. It is larger than a pocket camera, and one size down from those expensive cameras. I want to get the new photo program for Windows 7, that lets you photo-shop.

Still undecided about Labor Day weekend.
We have to decide by this weekend if we are going to Germany.

I'm late, but I'm in!

First off you rock for deciding to even do the race! Are you still going to go?

I can't wait to see if you can turn your sisters into Disney people!

So what did you decide to do about Germany/WDW?popcorn::

Thanks for joining Kat. Yes, I am definately doing the race in August in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin, and to answer the next question, see below.

Still undecided. My dh didn't care if we missed the "deadline" to save money. He told me the other day, his company has a huge job that is starting in September and he is afraid to be away from work. (Like I haven't heard that one before). I still have my ressie for Labor Day weekend.

Haven't updated this in a long while.

I called WDW the other day and paid a huge part of our resort.
I have a feeling, I"ll be paying the majority of the resort fee.
Luckily I've made enough at Sunshine Rewards, I know it is a shameless plug,
but with 8 opportunities of survey's a day, it is fairly easy to make money
from them, plus I do a lot of online shopping for work, so that helps.

They other day, I saw a change to my nephew's itinerary.
They are going to travel over to Tampa and play for 15 minutes in a park.
Then they go swimming at the beach.
I told my sister about the change of Cocoa Beach over to St. Petersburg
and she didn't even know about.
I can't believe they are packing up the instruments and uniforms for a 15 minute performance.

Here is part of the intenerary for that day:
9:30am Depart for St. Petersburg
11:00am Williams Park-downtown St. Petersburg-unload, setup and warm up
Noon Concert Performance to 12:45pm or 1:00pm then tear down and load
1:30pm Depart the Park
2:00pm Arrive at Fort De Soto State Park-North Beach-Pavilion-catered lunch and Gulf of Mexico swimming to follow

My oldest sister told me the other day,
"can't we just find a beach and sit around
and order drinks all day"

Hopefully Storm-a-long-Bay will be good enough for her.
I'll have to show her the sand on the bottom.:rotfl:

We basically have one free day and since we are all golfers,
I think I am going to schedule a t-time.
But I don't know which golf course.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds good to me! :thumbsup2

I'm not a golfer but I've heard Shades of Green is nice.

haha, we always think it's funny when people want to just sit on a beach all day and do nothing. But then again maybe we are the weird ones because honestly that sounds boring to me. I'd much rather be in the parks. LOL.

I stink at golf but I should ask my dad about the golf courses...he's played at all of them.

I'll have to take a look at that one. I thought that place was just military.

I just found out
my dh's conference is in Orlando.

When I come home on Sunday, April 2,
I go back to work for 2 days,
and leave on Wednesday-April 5.
We won't be staying on Disney property though, boo
but over at the Ritz/Carlton.

I get to have 2 days of SOLO!!!

I plan on working out every morning,
because they have a great work-out facility,
with an Olympic style lap pool.
It's quite a hoot doing laps, while all these
women are under unbrella's with cucumbers on their eyes.
I was so intimidated the last couple of years,
but I am so over it.
The price of our room is comparable to a Moderate at Disney.
Sure you can can a luxury suite at the Ritz, which costs a fortune,
but 2 queen size beds or a King runs about $180 a nite during peak season.
And, I looked at their website-they have their "Zip Lines done,
and a Challenge course".
So I plan on doing that one morning too.

I will probably go to Universal Studios to see Harry Potter
and do one day over at WDW.
Probably the park that me and me sisters don't get to.

I'm still up in the air about Labor Day.
I will be doing the Tri-athalon in August and I wanted
to do it at Walt Disney World in September and I thought it
would be a great way to celebrate my 50th birthday by doing
a Tri-athalon at WDW and celebrating my birthday all in one weekend.

Sounds good to me! :thumbsup2

I'm not a golfer but I've heard Shades of Green is nice.

The Shades of Green resort is for military only, but the two golf courses there (the Palm and Magnolia) are open to the public. Those are the two courses used for the PGA event.

If I only could play one course, I would pick the Magnolia.

Thanks for the input.

My sister's, son-in-law has a best friend that works at WDW.
He skippers one of the boats at The Jungle Cruise.
He lives with his parents in Florida-they used to own
"Kimberly-Clark". Anyways, he works at WDW, so he can golf for free.
So, her son-in-law's friend is going to make a Ressie for us and golf with us.

Will you get to golf for free then too? That would be a nice perk!

:woohoo: on being able to go solo for 2 days! Our church is having a conference down at WDW this year, but we aren't certain we'll be able to go. :sad1: We'll see...it's in late July.

I am a member over at Sunshine Rewards, but I usually don't qualify for the surveys and got frustrated with the site overall, so I haven't logged in for a VERY long time. I was doing well on a different survey site, but haven't done them now for months. That was a great little money maker, I should get back into it! Thanks for the reminder. :goodvibes

I think we have to pay something to golf,
but it will be at a discount.
I just saw their is a golf special going on for $59,
which includes, cart, clubs and a bucket of balls to practice.
That is a pretty good price, and if he can get us more of a discount, the better.

I'm having a lull right now with Sunshine survey's. Someone came on the board and said January & February tend to be lower months of survey's and it should start to pick up soon. Lately I don't have time, I'm glad I am done with the taxes that I deal with at work. I just had to redo someone's W'2's today-change of address, which is minor for them, but a headache for me.
