Did any of you Southerner's miss your sweet tea and sundrops while at Disney? Started having withdrawals after a couple days. On our trip back home as soon as we got into SC we had to make an emergency stop to satisfy our week long craving! I kept thinking a little Pixie Dust would come our way and our tea would magically be pre-sweetened but it just never happened :wizard:

Not having Dr Pepper is whats hurts me. It has to be the most addictive drink on earth. Last time we went I had the cravings after one day. Day 2 I had to drive offsite to find some. I have already bought 4 12 packs for next month when we go.

This Northerner is crazy about sweet tea, but what is a sundrop? I might need to try it! :confused3

It's a lemon lime drink that has a bit of kick. Not as sweet as mellow yellow or mountain dew. It use to be you could only buy it in NC and SC but I'm not sure how far out its circulated now. Very addictive. Most people who do not drink coffee in our area have to have their Sundrop.

Diet sundrop gets me going every morning. :sunny: I always miss it on vacation where you can't take it with you. Went to Washington state & California for a week each before & missed it terribly.

Very much miss my sweet tea every time we go. I live off the stuff. I can't understand why Disney being in the middle of sweet tea country doesn't sell it everyone else around here does.

My DH loves Sundrop. We have been able to get it up here in Wisconsin at select places since we were kids.

Sundrop is good, but Cherry-lemon Sundrop is better! I'm not talking about the bottled kind, but the real Cherry-lemon Sundrop! ::yes::

I here you girl! We got a few BBQ places in the area that makes up a mean Cherry Lemon Sundrop.

   They don't have sweet tea at Disney!?! The last trip I took was in 1997 while still in high school, so I don't remember much about the food....but now they have no sweet tea?! DH will make me cancel if he finds that out...the poor boy LIVES on tea.

And I know they won't have Cheerwine. That IS something you can only get in NC and SC...nectar from heaven if you ask me.

Yep, like that Cheerwine too, but gotta have Sundrop...

Couldn't agree more....it's 1000000000 times better than Mountain Dew. We can get regular up here, and diet in the 2 liter bottles, but have a hard time finding diet in the individual bottles...gotta drive to Shelby for that.

I'm impressed. Never would have imagined finding it in Wisconsin.

We want tell if you don't! Just be sure to stock up on Cheerwine and Sundrop before you go so you will at least have that with you.

Heck, your practically in my back yard. I live in Kings Mountain about a 5 minute drive from Shelby. Love the Hendersonville area.

Ha guys, you are in my backyard I live in gastonia.

Gee, I feel a song coming on here . It's a Small World Afterall ....

Gastonia is like the home of Sundrop and RO's BBQ is like the home of the Cherry Lemon Sundrop.

Sundrop in king in Concord! :)

gotta have a cherry lemon Sundrop from Mr.C's

A few years ago, we went to WDW with 5 friends. We shipped our cases of Sundrop to the BC ahead of time. Nothing beat a cold Sundrop after being it the park.

I just married a Concord Man (originally from Kannapolis) in May. We live in Kings Mountain now but perhaps you could better explain a drink he has been trying to describe called a "Witch Doctor". I guess it's a Concord or Kannapolis original. Is there a place called Whataburger or Wallaburger in Concord? That might be where he said they served it. He said something about a Pickle and Dr. Pepper. This is just too hard for me to imagine. If you are familiar with the drink could you please explain it to me. In the mean time just fix me a Cherry-Lemon Sundrop if we are going for "Mixed" drinks otherwise a Sundrop will be fine. :rotfl:
