angelkisses said:Did any of you Southerner's miss your sweet tea and sundrops while at Disney? Started having withdrawals after a couple days. On our trip back home as soon as we got into SC we had to make an emergency stop to satisfy our week long craving! I kept thinking a little Pixie Dust would come our way and our tea would magically be pre-sweetened but it just never happened![]()
allicat said:Not a southerner here but they serve sweet tea at Liberty Tree Tavern. That's the only place in the world that you can get it. Last week, I must have drank about 4 glasses with my meal. I told the waiter I was so thirsty because it was so hot outside but really, I just loved the tea! DD drank her fair share of it too!

Golf4food said:You waited until SC to stop for sweet tea? I hope you were flying, and not driving up 95, because you could have stopped long before SC for sweet tea. Contrary to the majority of the southern half of the state, those of us in North Florida are still part of God's country - aka "The South" - and still partake of God's gift to beverages - TEA WITH SUGAR IN IT!!!!!![]()

Gastonia is like the home of Sundrop and RO's BBQ is like the home of the Cherry Lemon Sundrop.
deacondarlin said:And I know they won't have Cheerwine. That IS something you can only get in NC and SC...nectar from heaven if you ask me.
angelkisses said:It's a lemon lime drink that has a bit of kick. Not as sweet as mellow yellow or mountain dew. It use to be you could only buy it in NC and SC but I'm not sure how far out its circulated now. Very addictive. Most people who do not drink coffee in our area have to have their Sundrop.
