Cookie---don't forgt the squeeze breeze :)
Are you bringing your boys or is this a solo trip?

Brandie..........eek...ick.......DD had a thing like that going on one wrist for awhile that resisted all ointments like benadryl or hydrocortisone. We think it was caused by her soccer goalie gloves with some invisible fungus thingie rubbing on the wrist. What ended up getting rid of it (in addition to trying to kill the sweaty-glove germs by spraying them with lysol and also wrapping her wrists lightly in gauze or 1st aid tape before wearing them) -- was Micatin. She had a male athlete friend (wrestler) tell her to use a jock itch cream on it, but that kind of freaked us both out, so I did some web-reading and ended up buying a tube of Micatin which is atually an athletes foot anti-fungal. The ingredent in that was the best anti-fungal for whatever it was she had!!
Cookie's right, it could be nerves................
DD has got an outbreak of canker sores (I think the stress of the goings-on with her biological father, as she refers to him now, brought that on). ANyone got any ideas for those? She's got soemthing called Kanka and also Campoho-phenique but there's a big one on her lip that REALLY hurts :(

Yikes...way too long post for discussion of fungus and various other icky things heehee ;)

Cookie you are so lucky to go bck to disney......now remember the hot rice crackers name is chili bits by Haki.....they are awesome.....but you need some of Japans plum wine to wash them down with.....
when your dd starts referring to her bio dad as the sperm donor....than you can get down and laugh......
hope you all have a great night......

well its a good thing Sue has come back with all this fungus and blister talk...we need some help.

I just got a call from my doctors nurse....I have to go get some more bood drawn to recheck my thyroid...its was off. My mother had hypothyroidism and my sister does now so its not a surprise.....maybe thats why I have been feeling like total crap
and maybe there's some hope to start feeling better soon

yes Gail you sure are lucky....have a great time....where are you staying??? or is that a stupid question :teeth:

more PD to your DD Ann

we had some boomers today pumba but they weren't too bad. I thought they may take the humidity away but no luck yet

We've had thunder every day for the last 10 I think..............

Hi pumba :teeth:

yep, we definitely need our Queen DIS nurse Saint Poohpooh around here-!

I guess thryroid problems can really make you feel crappy, hope you get that straightened out soon Debbie ....PD to you

I came home from the Mary Kay thing looking pretty with a light foundation and eyemakeup an blush and lipstick and gloss, DH didn't even notice
of course he had been out to see Avery and Delaney, and she's a lot cuter than I am ;) ;) :)
I only bought some Eyesicles (shadow) for me and lip balm and moisturizer for DD. I just can't stand "stuff" on my face even though I look "real good" with it on according to DD and the rest of the gang ;) And my mind gets boggled after step one of a 3 or 4 step skin care "program" so I'll stick to the water to cleanse in the morning, Pond's cold cream for eye makeup removal at night and Clinique moisturizer hehehehe

off to bed, I'm tired after all the excitement and all the effort to get the stuff off my face ;)...sheesh...barely had time to brush my teeth!! ;)

Oooohhhh....yuckkkkkk.

All this talk of fungi and such has grossed me out.
I hope it's not like a computer virus thing-ie that will spread....

A classic case of "The Fungus Among Us."

So says Queen Saint Pooh.

Hi all! Nice to see Sue back on the CL thread, now where's Teri and BT? Ann, for canker sores my dentist suggests Glyoxide. It's an oral antiseptic, sold in drug stores. Supposedly that's where it all starts, in the mouth. Just put a couple drops in the mouth and hold for a couple minutes, then spit. It does foam up so don't be surprised. Mine are always better after a day or two.
Lora

good morning everyone........another day has arrived and I am saying yippeeeeeee tomorrow is Friday......this weekend is the balloon festival in Maine and it is a wonderful sight to see 40 or so balloons going up in the air early in the morning.......we also have some huge speciality balloons that may or may not take off....depending on the winds.....I also have to get up very early Saturday and recheck on blood work......I do not relish this ......hoping that my cholesterol has gone down and that the good old zocor did its trick....anyone know if six weeks .....should it show an improvement.?????????
hope you all have a great day

Mrs. Milo---thanks for the tip, I will have to get some of that for her!!

Fungus Among Us...................bwahahahahaha

Asking for prayers today...there is a memorial service in town for Sarah and Philip Gehring, the two children whose father was indicted on charges of murdering them by shooting them in his van after the July 4 fireworks, then driving west to CA, allegedly burying them somewhere of I-80 between Grove City PA and Iowa City IA....their bodies have still not been found though a search continues, concentrated in Ohio and Indiana :( DD is going to the service with some friends. A couple of the friends knew Sarah from cheerleading, DD was more of a "nodding" acquaintance. Not sure how I ( or she) really feels about going with the likely media circus, but I guess the hope is for some closure :(

pumba--LOL...I think my DD DID use that term "sperm donor" when she thought I wasn't listening ;)

Hope you all have a nice Thursday!!

as for that pumba..I do not know yet.....mine has been high 229....got it down to 212....but no meds for it yet...besides my thyroid is probably causing mine....from what I read thyoid problems can mess you up in every way....thats why I'm a mess ;) :teeth:

about the make up Ann.....we don't need any...remember you and I got carded at PI :teeth:

prayers being said Ann

Hey we could change this thread to "Sue's medical forum" ;)

That's RIGHT...we DID get carded at PI ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 70yo MIL got carded at PI too. I guess we need to get those folks some glasses. :earseek:

Morning all - other humid day here - yucko

Looking forward to school starting in less than 2 weeks too

morning

ugh...i don't know what the heck this thing is on my arm. it's driving me crazy!!! i've been putting a gold bond cream on it...but now it hurts. :( i hate going to the doctor, but i just may have to for this one...

ann...i don't follow all of the steps for my skin care with mary kay. i use just the cleanser and moisturizer (timewise). every now and then, i'll throw in the satin lips treatment...but the other stuff confuses me too!

I'm guessing it was one of those "card the older women so they'll smile the rest of the night" things. ;)

I thought Fungus Amoung Us yesterday, but was too polite to mention it.

Pumba, I'm going to try out those rice crackers - they're on my list! Besides, if I don't like 'em, I'm pretty sure I know where I can send the rest! ;)

Ann, the mister fans are DEFINITELY on my packing list - I bought three new ones this year.

Hello Marla, nice to see you here!!

Yeah, yeah, sure you were.

But, as the always kind Ann mentioned, your manners didn't get in the way of this...

Seeing as how I am "one of those older women" (so old that I have never been carded anywhere , I resemble that remark...

Hey---ya'll wanna see what kind of stuff I've been doing during my absence (I think at the "home", it's called Expressive Therapy or sumpin')

If you do, go to this place
