Do any of you who watched American idol remember the expressions on Ruben's face as he listened to the judges....he was adorable and its his eyes and my puppies eyes that made me decide on Ruben. I have al;ways liked Ruben ,.....even tho he is not as talented as Clay.
BUT I am going to say tell these other names to DH

PD for your transmission TC...DD actually learned in a standard....my Mazda 626 , and DH's truck is standard too. Quite challenging at the outset, because she was of course doing the Driver's Ed hours in an automatic. But she persevered, and actually took her test in it and now drives it daily, having bought it from me when I got my Sebring.

my first car was a 1982 mazda 626! it was a stick...loved it!! i ran that poor car into the ground by the time i traded it in too!

So, what's everyone doing for Thanksgiving? I'm supposed to be headed to my sister's house, but then I'm coming back that night on the bus...so I can get up for the Black Friday sales!!

We're having at Avery and Delaney's...(and oh yea, their parents ) ...and some of DIL's family are coming up from Mass to join us too.
Will go for a visit to Mom and Dad either Friday or Saturday. Rest of the weekend will try to get organized for the Xmas shopping. We did do a little bit yesterday at the Outlets.

Yikes Brandie, I'd be freaking out ...Xmas on the heels of closing ont he house! But what a special holiday for you two!!

i'm just excited to be closing on the house!!! i'll have a nice big house to spruce up for the holidays again!! the most exciting part? being able to put garland around the banister!!! i know...it doesn't take much to excite me... our house is gonna look like christmas threw up all over the place!!!!

well, maybe not this year...but i'll my best with what we have on hand!! lol

thanksgiving for us...after i set the vcr to tape the macy's parade (can't miss clay!), then we'll be driving up to spend the day with my parents and brother. i just realized that i haven't been up there to see them since well before my sister's wedding! i've seen them off and on as they've come to indy for odd reasons, but that's about it...

i guess my brother's got a girlfriend now...a redhead! you would've thought that boy learned growing up with me...oh well...lol don't know if the she'll be there for thanksgiving or not, but you know it's serious when he's bringing her for christmas!

its been a heck of a week.......and I didn't think of coming here and being a bum.......alot of stuff as always going on.....I have a wicked head cold that dropped me a few pegs.....I started on BP meds last Tuesday and I guess that the meds didnt' go with cold meds....oy oy oy.......I sort of got wicked dizzy and my head kept on going.....I was supposed to volunteer for theNational Guard Debriefing with bon bon from maine and I couldnt' make it.....I so want to meet her ....our fellow dis'er and Maine friend......I also had some bad family news and it still just blows my mind.......My sister has been diagnosed with lung cancer and she will be operated on sometime in December......please keep her in your thoughts .....our un born grandchild has reached the eleventh week of conception and I know he/she is going to be sooooooo unbelievably spoiled......just need to hold that little bugger......thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to you all

so sorry about your sister and your meds and the rough week you have had but PLEASE don't stay away from here when you're down...we may be crazy but we can shower you with prayers and PD and try to make you feel a little better!!

It's not raining here...looks kind of nice but the sun wasn't all the way up and my eyes weren't all the way open last time I looked out

Debbie, I hate to tell you but I can't post pics from actual paper photos. What I do is have my 35mm film developed (at Target) with one set of prints and one picture CD. Then from the CD I can e-mail them or upload them to sony imagestation (I think the DIS has a photo storage place too) and then post them from that.
DH and I are talking aboutgettign a digital camera for our family Xmas gift this year...but personally, I'd rather get new living room furniture (at least a couch) ....we've been saying for years that we won't replace til the kids (DD and youngest DSS) are "older" ...I think it's time...before DH decides we should wait til the GRANDKIDS are older

gotta head out to work.

i'm so tired this morning. we got up about 20 minutes later than normal...

we're on build day 31 now!! woo hoo!!! twelve more to go!!!!

i really want a new digital camera. the one we have has very low megapixels. i want the new kodak one that's 5 megapixels! kodak digital cameras tend to be pretty user friendly. and i've been seeing it for somewhere between $250 and $300!! i WISH i had the money...i'd buy it now...

Brandie, are you a little, tiny bit excited about your house? I know I would be - my sons bug me on a regular basis about getting a house, but it's just not in the picture right now.

Debbie, after he sang, he was on the couch with David for about a minute - mentioned the album sales, told him Happy Birthday, and not much else.

Geez, first a new dog, now a new car? Maybe you'd better keep the new dog away from the new car until he's trained.

Ann, I know what you mean about the holiday illness - except that it's usually ME that gets sick - right around Christmas. I remember being a teenager and so sick that I didn't even THINK about opening my gifts until a day or two later. Hope DD feels better soon.

Just saw the Concorde floating up the Hudson River this morning - apparently it's going to be near the Intrepid. It was quite a sight.
