here I am....here I am. I was out cruising in my new car....love those heated seats
cept the first time I put it on ....it took a moment to warm up and in the meantime I had forgotten I had turned it on...... suddenly.....for a spit second there....... I thought I'd wet my pants

then I had to watch Clay and Ruben' Christmas special ........
And I was too tired for anything else.


last Saturday night was my first night with the puppy...... Sunday morning as I was coming out of the shower Ruben was sitting at the door like he needed to go.....so with wet uncombed hair and bare feet I scooped him out and ran outside.....I could here voices out on the corner so I went to look....it was a news van The reporter saw me and she came over and asked if I had heard that the convenience store here had been robbed at gunpoint......... and wanted to know if she could interview me about how safe I feel On camera????? I DON"T THINK SO ...... with my freezing bare feet and my wet uncombed hair?? What do you think? NO THANKS

of course if I had I could have held up my 5 pound puppy and said "OF course I feel safe"

A few minutes later my son called and told me he had gone out to dinner and when he came out of the restaurant...he couldn't have his car. It was taped off in a crime seen that was being investigated. Apparently.....as 2 kids were crossing the road they were hit by a car and the car fled the scene. The 2 bodies were thrown and landed at my sons car. One was already dead and the other was in critical condition.
So thats what was happening while I was tending to my new puppy.

Ann you're not the only one confused by the concorde.

As for the Clay Aiken Christmas special....I'll go over to the other thread and rave about how wonderful he is ...rather then bother you people

Yup, the Concorde, as in the plane thingy, was being towed on a barge up the Hudson River. The Intrepid is a retired air craft carrier, and is now an Air & Space Museum docked in Manhattan. Apparently, the Concorde is going to join it as part of a display.

OMG, Debbie! How horrible about those poor two kids...and that your son's car was parked at the scene. Not sure if I could handle something like that.

They wanted to interview you in your bare feet with wet hair about how safe you feel? That paints quite a picture!

Was able to do search and look at some posts from then, today... was kind of cool.

I will always have wonderful memories of that opening reception. I seem to recall that Mr. Murphy arrived too late to catch my performance.

Hi everyone!

Too funny to see Dan and SSB and TC here today keeping the thread going....

The ladies must be shopping...which is where I've been since rolling out of bed at 5:30 and getting to the door at JC Penney at 6 for my snowglobe and a few things there (fleece blankies for the kiddos---Spiderman, Pooh, Dora the Explorer for $9.99) Then left the Mall, went to Toys R Us (left because at 7 am the lines were to the back of the store and weren't moving and you couldn't move through the store...went back later as I only had one item to get that they had plenty of. Went to Target and Michael's Craft store and back to the Mall.

I came home at around noon, got DH and we went to lunch and then to "downtown" and back to ToysR Us and the Mall. (It's nice to live so close to the retail area, yet in a quiet out-of-the-way development!) I feel REALLY good about how much I got done today...I've never had so much done so soon after Thanksgiving. Got my mom and dad and MIL done, and all the nieces and nephews and a big dent in the grandbaby shopping, and smaller dent in DD and DH. Good buys, especially on some jewelry for nieces and DSS's girlfriend at "The BonTon" a department store at our Mall. Also got all the frames (Michael's Craft Store) for DD's senior portraits for gifts to various relatives too. Plus have ideas for finishing up on DH and DD. So I'm tired but happy

And ready for my Friday night margarita and nachos!!
