SW March 13+ release time?

I see where it SAYS May but it's not available for booking yet!
I don't know how I did it. I was in with the flights selected when I made my first post that the dates were extended. After I made the purchase, I tried to go back into book travel and it says only through March 12th. Even now that's all I am seeing is March 12th.

Well, that wasn't worth watching for! From Detroit I'm still seeing over $300 for March 5th - 14th. :sad2:

I was hoping to get something under $250. Guess I'll continue shopping. Luckily there's lots of time yet.

Our trip is May 5-12. Would there be any advantage to purchasing the May 5 tickets now, or should I just wait until my return date opens up and then purchase the whole trip at one time? The May 5 price looks the same to me as usual, so no big discount or anything. I haven't flown in several years, and someone else purchase the tickets then, so I'm new to this. :confused3

it opened up to may so I was clickin fast ... then boom says sorry dates not open to those dates yet ... is something wrong with their site right now??? this is frustrating and scary ($$) all at the same time!!!

:confused3 A few minutes ago I was able to see past March 12..now I can't. Guess they're still updating?

I got them!! Yayyy ... just over 2000 for seven of us so I think that is pretty good ... especially when it would more than double that to fly out of toronto!!!!

so excited!!

:cool1: $1144 from BUF to Ft. Lauderdale for March Break. Would be $4136 if flying out of Toronto.

ETA: that would be for all 4 of us.

I'm not liking the prices I'm seeing out of Denver at all. :( Should I just expect to pay more to travel in spring due to spring break?!

OUCH!, no bargains ISP (long island) to mco for our break!

Oh well, we'll have to wait and see..........

Well, I expected it. I Flew SW BUF to MCO in Sept. for $900 for the 4 of us, for March Break it is at least $1150, and not even for the flights I would prefer. They do know when their busier times are, and when a higher price would be tolerated.

I had $59 for my return flight on March 21 from Orlando to Kansas City and it was gone by the time I entered our names! The cheap tickets for the earliest nonstop on the 13th from KC to MCO was gone in minutes! Not the best prices but $1334 for the 4 of us is better than $2000 on AirTran.

Alright, a little higher than what I wanted but I went ahead & grabbed our flights down for $167 pp + taxes & fees = $177.60 each. Air Tran has consistently been running between $214 - $234 (before fees) ever since they released their schedule a few weeks ago. SOOO this was a considerable savings considering it was just ONE-WAY. I decided to grab the SW ones while they were there... The flight time was just a little later than what I'd wanted so we'll arrive after the DME luggage cutoff - more incentive to PACK LIGHT and use CARRY-ONS only!!:rotfl:

OK, so IF I continue to watch both Air Tran & SW and if the fares come down below this price I can always get a credit from SW without any penalties, right? I mean, Air Tran would have to drop to say $150 for me to mess with switching & at this point I'm not anticipating that to happen...but still, I COULD do that, right? I was just afraid that the prices might only go UP from here.:sad2: That would piss me off.

Something is going on with the site. I was checking it while I was on the phone with them. Front page would say open till May. Book it page said March 12th.

May want to call them direct.

I was pleasantly surprised with the BUF to MCO flights ... we got nonstop for $144 each way ... so for seven of us it is costing $2164.40.

Just checked with West Jet out of Toronto to Orlando and it would cost us $7809.97 :eek::eek::eek: Can you imagine paying that much just to fly??? I can't justify that at all!! So to me we got an AMAZING deal!!!!! Airfare in Canada is awful with all of the taxes and add-ons!!!! CRAZEEEE!!!

For those of you still seeing old dates, you may need to refresh the page...sometimes browsers are set to load old copies.

The one odd thing I'm noticing is on PHL->MCO flights on March weekends, the first two direct flights of the day are marked as Unavailable for all price categories. What's up with that? I didn't check many days, but it was for at least a few.

I was pleasantly surprised with the price I was able to get for the flight times I wanted PIT-MCO. It was $236 pp, round trip, including taxes and of course with SW, no baggage fees. I looked back at the threads from last year when spring/Easter SW schedule was released and they were really high! So I was a little worried.

From Pittsburgh, the only direct flights to Orlando now are AirTran and SW. AirTran would have been $319. And the prices that have been out for my dates from United, Delta, USAir were on the lines of $400- $500 pp and they all had at least 1 connection.

I am very happy with what I was able to get! :yay:
