As an EV owner, it somewhat makes sense. Level 2 charging too short of an amount of time to charge a car overnight and/or when people are at the parks, but too much time for a “quickly charge and go shopping for 45 minutes while it fills up” like Level 3s do. Level 3 chargers are extremely expensive and installing them would increase dues faster (and it isn’t something that I can imagine normal owners would like to pay for). I actually think DVC resorts (well, all resorts but this is DVC related) should do what my office does. We installed a bank of 120v plugs in a few rows of the parking lot, which allows the EV drivers to bring their own car and charger, plug it in at the office, and then the car will be mostly (or fully) charged by the end of the day. Makes even more sense for a resort hotel where you may park the car once and not go back to the car until you leave.
