The prices are all the same for all three carriers from Buffalo to MCO for our trip down (Jan 26th)... $89. Do you think I could wait and hope for a sale?

On the way back, I can get $89 only from Air Tran... but the $20 bag fee makes it $119... still less than the $124 SW fare. Again... what are the chances of a sale?

I know last trip (4 years ago) we booked SW about 3 weeks after prices came out, as they had a big sale and saved a bunch, but I don't know what the trends are now.

Also, I don't know anything about Air Trans and Jet Blue, any tips?

it is always a gamble, but when booking SW it seems the best way to to it if you really want non stop flights there, is to book them the first day and hope for fare decrease

of course with the new rules for Ticketless funds coming out in January and the fact that you cannot always use all the TTF you have on one ticket ( since they split the costs out on a confirmation number and you can only use 4 forms of payment ie a TTF with 60$ on it maybe for two people and you can only use 45$ plus credit card, thus you are left with 15$ on that TTF ) You really have to plan when using TTF.

Also if you get a better fare with one of those tickets you used the TTF for, the new TTF will reflect the expiry date of the oldest TTF and will not reflect the "new" date purchase

that being said, I see they have 4 non stops a day ( Saturday at least, then 2 on Sunday thru Friday )out of buffalo this new schedule, the current one only has 2 non stops

if your flight dates are around popular times you might not have as much leeway....

we wanted jan23 out this morning but the fare was already at 129 when I got on and noticed they had opened the schedule, guess the extra 2 hours sleep was not what i needed ...smilawgs

we just changed our plans to the day before and got the non stop out at 3pm

and of course will be watching for changes to fares over the next months
