Survivor: Pearl Islands *OFFICIAL THREAD*

THANKS!
No problem! Except this Friday--I'll be in Miami--my friend is getting married on a cruise ship and we're going along. Just in time to miss the freezing weather coming our way! I'll be trying not to see who got booted before watching it when I get back.

The Survivor Sucks site was really fun the first season when there were bona fide spoilers. When they filmed the first season they had no idea how big it would be and they didn't anticipate the whole spoiler thing. For example, the contestants who weren't on the jury were allowed to leave when they got booted if they wanted to, so people would find out when they came home. Or they discovered that Sean's dad checked into a hotel in that area and they knew that he made it at least until that reward challenge and that he would win. They looked at photos of the "press day" and saw that two contestants weren't there, so were able to figure out the first two boots right off the bat. The scenes from the next show weren't so carefully edited and there were a lot of spoilers there. Now everything is so controlled that it's difficult to get a true spoiler.

ON THE NEXT SURVIVOR

The great lie continues to affect the decisions of castaways who believed Jon when he swore on his grandmother's grave.

A luxurious strategy session enjoyed spa-style, with food, massages, showers and privacy, is spoiled by one castaway.

Faltering alliances and redrawn allegiances leave no one safe, pushing one castaway to ask another, "You're not gonna betray me, right?"

There's nothing like a guy in silk pajamas proclaiming what a great date he is!

BUMPING UP FOR TONIGHT

"You're not gonna betray me, right?"
That's probably Lil asking Burton (IMHO), and I bet he would betray her (screw the Outcast allegiance when $1,000,000 is at stake).

I finally finished watching last week's episode last night. I cannot believe what a snake Jon is. To lie about someone's death is pretty sick. I wonder how the other survivors feel now that the truth is out and since they altered their play because of that news. What goes around comes around they say... I hate to think what is going to come around for Jon.. Pretty sad to have to play so dirty. One million bucks is a lot at stake, but your morals (in my opinion) are worth more than that. Oh well. If he wins I will be extremely disgusted.

I just found out that the final episode is on Sunday, Dec. 14! That's the same night as our Christmas play at our church, and I'm in the play!! I'm counting on people here to help me remember to set my VCR. Thank goodness Alias is going to be a rerun that night, or I'd be in a REAL jam!

Dec. 14 is the last show!!?? Oh no. I'll be at MVMCP that night. Oh bother!!! Well, maybe it will be really, really rainy and they'll give us tickets to the party on Tues. night!!!

We missed last season's finale. We forgot it was on and went shopping. I quickly realized Matt and Jenna had been the Final 2. I thought Matt had won.:teeth: Then realized Jenna had.

My Dad just told me that he heard on the radio today that Lil's mom died last week. So basically she just watched and found out about Jon's lie and then her mom really died. :( Plus they said that Jon's grandmother will be at the reunion show!

Jon's scum of the earth, I think he's going to need body guards at the reunion show. I know if I saw him I'd kick his ***, what a piece of crap.

palmtreegirl, you are SO right about Jon needing a bodyguard at the reunion show. Based on what Tijuana said in her interview on The Early Show, she knew nothing about "the lie" until she watched the show last week like the rest of us.

My worst fear: that Jon makes it to the final 2 and the jury is still under the impression that his poor granny died and he gets some sympathy votes. As a member of the jury if you voted for Jon, would you be (a) totally pissed because one of the reasons you voted for him was the lie or (b) pissed about the lie but glad you voted for him because he played the game better than anyone? I realize that lies have to a part of the game (oh no, I won't vote you off), but lying about your grandmother dying?????? That's really pushing it too far.

This is going to be one interesting reunion show.

I'll be watching and taping tonight. I'll also be hoping that Jon gets voted off, but I'm starting to lose hope; looks like that scum of the earth will be around until the bitter end.

I have to say, if Burton is smart, he would want Lil in the final 2 with him, because I think the jury would award anyone, but an outcast to win, even if it's Jon. So, by Burton and Lil being in the final 2, obviously they would have to vote for an outcast and I think they would vote for Burton, because he's definitely a stronger player. Lil has basically made it this far on the coat tails of others, which the jury never likes, JMHO:D

Tape didn'[t record! What did I miss?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE WOMEN!!!!!!

Even if they don't know about "The Big Lie" it makes total sense to vote the men off. If I had been there, Jon the Snake would have been gone last week, dead granny or not, and Burton this week. What are they thinking? Maybe it is just the editing, a la last season, and they are making the women seem silly, but their judgement calls are terrible. I really hope the spoilers are right and the final three are women. I fear for my television if Jon wins!! :p

I am beginning to fear that the spoilers I read are correct. And I so don't want them to be !!!!!!!!!

And for the next Survivor I was wondering if we could keep the spoilers out of this thread? Please? I hate to know the ending beforehand!

Which is precisely why I only alluded to spoilers and did not give any specifics.

The spoilers don't bother me because I visit the spoiler sites anyway, but I agree that most here don't want to know. Next time, besides the official thread, maybe someone can start an "enter at your own risk" spoilers thread?

Don't most people know by now not to read this thread before they've seen the show if it's already been shown on the east coast?

Lying is one thing...what Jon did with the Grandmother story is he took everyone for fools...THAT'S the thing that would piss me off as one of the players. He is such a sleezy little weanie.

That Burton is a weanie too. He needs that little weazle to map out plans and tell him how to vote? Ugh. And then he's got the nerve to say that he and Jon are the ones with the intellects over the women?? Twit.

I almost wet my pants when Jon was going on about how he was not just another pretty face. Yeah...he knows to order filet mignon and bruschetta..............granted this is not hot dogs, but knowing about them hardly makes one a food expert.

With each passing week thesee people become more unpleasant to watch. Why oh why do we get sucked into these shows?????

The best part about tonight's show was finally seeing Lil wear something other than the scout uniform. And then, ugh, she had it on again at tribal counsel!

I liked Christa and hated to see her voted off, but can't really feel too sorry for her based on her insane voting strategy so far (voting "T" off instead of Burton or the creep.)

Christa's interview tomorrow should be interesting.
