SURVIVOR fans! The game is on! What do you think?(Remember our west coast friends)

Ahh it was just gratuitous nudity. Well I can't complain, I scored big Fantasy League points on that episode. Speaking of which, the WDWWDS tribe's final scores are:

wdwot - 3410
MissJas - 3138
apnic - 2152
Madonna - 1397

Jenna said she had promised her parents that she "wouldn't do it again". That is, get naked on TV. Guess that means that Playboy will be OK? Diana

Miss Jasmine, there are some people who walk in a room and expect everyone to bow to their feet JUST because they are beautiful. I am sure, based upon everything i've seen of Heidi, that is what she expected to happen. It didn't, so in her mind, the other women were 'glaring' at her. Based upon what I have seen of the rest of the women, not one of them has an inferiority complex. This is why they (and I) find it so comical that Heidi and Jenna went on ad nauseum about their youth, size, and beauty as a 'handicap'. It's only a handicap if you make it one.

There have been other survivor beauties who didn't brag continously about their looks or look down their noses at those who didn't look like them. Those were the shows where you saw the teams come together and bond. Because of these 'girls' attitudes, this team never did. Even Jeff Probst said it was unexpected. The surprise was they never dreamed they could have found such shallow and ignorant women to be on the show.

If everyone recalls, Dave and Heidi were very cozy for a while so I am sure that he was influenced to vote for Jenna.

I still enjoyed the show and think it was the best since the first series when Richard won but I did not like the ending. I wished they had spent more time talking to everyone. Matt was definitely ignored last night. I thought the comments Alex made about Matt were rude! I think he was jealous because Matt and Jenna were in the final two.

It will be interesting to see if anything is said about Matt & Jenna. They seemed quite close last night!

My DW had a great idea; wouldn't it be interesting to see a show, or part of a show devoted to showing the jury behind the scenes?

I would love a show that follows the people voted off, particularly the jury. I'm sure it would get the ratings, so the only reason I can think that they haven't done it yet is that they don't film what happens to the ones who don't make it.

My take....I haven't seen the reunion show. A friend called right after the votes were read so I put in a tape and will watch it later. I agree with those who said this was one of the best episodes with the worst ending. It was too much like Flo on the last AR. Look at Flo and Jenna... both whiny and spoiled, both wanting to give up at various points in the game. Separated at birth perhaps? I'll be back for the next Survivor and can only hope the million goes to someone more deserving. It's amazing how quickly the jury forgot about Matt giving up (or thinking he was giving up) the chance to see his mother so the others could see their families, or how he practically begged Jeff to let them all share in the tailgate party when he won the car, or all his hard work around camp. I have to go with the theory that Alex has an axe to grind with him and influenced most of the jury. I think Christy was probably swayed by Deena ("I am Woman, hear me roar") to vote for a female winner. I think Deena never stopped looking at is as the "Battle of the Sexes" that it started out as.

Oh well...only 17 days until AR4 :D

On past Survivor episodes, Survivors have been voted off because "they didn't need the money". I remember this happening on at least two occasions, but I do not remember names. I believe those voted off were doctors.

Karl from Survivor:Africa was a dentist. Funnily enough it was a cute, 20 something, that didn't like working around camp that made that remark. It was after karl was voted out and it was obvious that the tribes had split along age lines that they did the first ever 'tribe swap" and shook things up.

Note...apologies to the 20 somethings that are posting here. I know not all of you are like that. I was 20 something myself once ;) It does seem odd though that Survivor seems to go out of their was to pick the laziest 20 somethings they can find for just about every series.

Every time someone is voted off and they walk away I wonder what happens next. I mean, are they taken immediately to a hotel? Do they RUN straight for the shower? Or do they EAT first? Does the jury have a fun time while waiting for the game to end? What do they do?

I remember in one of the previous reunion shows, one of the survivors talking about touring with another survivor after they got voted off. I want to say Survivor: Africa.

Hope this isn't a dumb question, and sorry if it has been asked before. Survivor was obviously filmed quite a while ago. Last night was live, so do the final two have to wait that long to find out who won? or did they already know? I thought they already know because they are supposed to keep it a secret. But yet, they seem surprised when the votes are read. Somebody please clue me in. Also, my 10 year old dd watched the show with us and every time she saw Heidi, she would comment "She thinks shes all that!" Thats a comment reserved for the snotty girls at school!

The do have to wait. They left the island last December, so they've been waiting for 5 months to find out if they won the $$$.

What they have to keep secret is if they were voted off, when they were voted off, or if they were part of the final two. They cannot even tell spouses, family, or friends - not even give them clues.

So does that mean even the first group of 'Survivors' (the ones voted off who do not stay on the jury) get to stay on location for the duration of the filming? What I mean does the first person voted off get a 40 day vacation in Brazil so as to keep up the appearances that they may still be on the show? I never thought of that before, but it sounds like they would have to I guess.. A 40 day vacation, not bad....

Exactly. They probably can't MAKE you stay, but who's going to pass up an all expenses paid vacation in a posh resort (with food no less)???

Although one would think that if they air episodes while they are still filming, a player might get to go home after the episode they got voted off, airs. But I think the entire thing is filmed, edited etc long before the first show hits the TV.

I was not rooting for Jenna, but I'm not too disappointed. The reason why I LOVED this season of Survivor is because it was so unpredictable. You really couldn't predict who was going next. The ending was true to the season. I'll be there for the next one!

BTW, Matt turns out to be pretty attractive. Who knew?:D ;)

I really wonder how much they bribe the members of the jury to influence their votes? There is no way, no way at all that I can see that total coincidence makes the Survivor season winners follow the pattern of M-F-M-F-M-F Statistics just does *not* work that way. It has to be influenced somehow. And to get Christy to vote for Jenna......? I think it's rigged. I can buy it being real up to a point, but from that point (perhaps at the final two) I think it's rigged.

If you have the time replay your tape when the jury was making the final votes. Does it look like they are reading something when they go to vote or what? I didn't record it so I can't go back and look to check. But last night I thought it was odd that each person looked up and into the same general area. It looked like one person, sorry I can't remember who, was trying a little too hard to read something. Maybe I am just reading something into nothing. But I would like to know what everyone else thinks.

I think they can, actually. They all have to sign a confidentiality agreement with a hefty fine and it's likely that staying the entire 39 days plus training is part of that. :)

chellnjr - I know what you are talking about. I couldn't decide if they were tryig to read something or were trying to look into the camera. While I was typing this I had a thought -- maybe they were looking at someone to see if they were supposed to show who they voted for and speak like Butch and Heidi did. Christy made a strange face during her time to vote.

I agree with most other posters. I can't believe that Jenna won but it does not really surprise me. I was hoping Matt would win. I still think he played the game well while Jenna just slid through with doing nothing.

SURVIVOR is Crazy - Jenna the winner - of my - DUMB DUMB DUMB!!! There is NO way she should have won. I agree with Chell with the jury reading something when they went up to vote. I thought they were probably telling the jury to show/or NOT show their choice of the winner.

Also on the wrap up show - I WISH they would recognize the past Survivor winners who were there. I adore ETHAN and just barely caught a glimpse of him.

I'm VERY excited that the Amazing Race is coming back in two weeks.

chell, On those "best of Survivor" tapes I got, they showed each person voting. They almost always made comments about who they were voting for and why they were voting that way. They showed their vote to the camera, while making the comments. Most of those comments seem to have been edited out of what we see on TV. :)
