Survivor 23--South Pacific--No Spoilers**Wed 9/14**

Apparently it can't be discussed either. OK, no problem.

Discuss it all you want. But my opinion is not that interesting, doesn't matter to anyone but me, has no bearing on the game, and isn't going to change no matter how much you tell me it's wrong.

I think that Brandon is probably pretty harmless. Immature, certainly, but I don't think Mikayla is in any danger or anything like that. Brandon is attracted to her, obsessed with her, and going a little nuts out there. I think of it as how we've seen in previous seasons, some survivors go a little crazy because they miss their families, or they're hungry? Well that's how I see this. Brandon's attracted to her, and that, combined with lack of food, poor sleep, withdrawl from family and his regular daily life, is totally messing with his brain. Unless he turns it around, he won't mentally be able to handle being out there for too long.

I believe things are being edited to make him look like a stalker perv. It makes for more compelling TV. I had a friend who went on one of those baby shows and when I saw it aired, my jaw just dropped. They had edited her and her husband to look like their marriage was totally on the rocks. For instance, when the show aired, it showed her saying "I don't know what makes a marriage work." When I asked her about that one, she laughed and said they asked her what the secret to a successful marriage was. She had started her sentence with "I don't know what makes a marriage work... I guess trust, commitment, mutual respect" etc. But they completely left her answer off, as well as them asking the question in the first place.

ETA: Don't get me wrong, I think he is a creep. But I don't think he's the completely psychotic pervert he's been shown as.

:thumbsup2 Well said.

Did anyone watch last night? Brandon gets worse each week... did you hear him last night say, "leave me out of the drama!" He's the one creating the drama! What a wacko!

Yeah, he's definitely "off". I was hoping their tribe would lose the immunity challenge so they'd have an opportunity to vote him off.

And the duel on Redemption Island? What was up with Semhar's "poetry"? I could maybe understand if it was something about "give me strength", but it was all about having someone's baby?

I think the producers scraped the bottom of the barrel this season. Whackos!

There is certainly no one that jumps out and makes you want ot cheer for them. Seems like it is going to be a lacklustre season.

Yeah, it's pretty bad when COACH comes off as the wise voice of reason and is starting to be the most relatable player!

:thumbsup2THIS!!

OMG! I have not had a chance to watch Survivor from the 14th..I had to play catch up. I watched the 1st two episodes Wednesday morning and then this week's episode last night. I couldn't figure out why something felt "off"...I then realized I was rooting for Christine to be voted off!!! Holy cow....since when do I side with Coach?

Yeah, it is pretty bad when Coach seems to be the rational one...good Lord.

Brenden is so much like his uncle it's unreal.

I think Semhar does something called "freespeak" or something on that order. She just says what she feels at the moment in poem speak or what ever you call it. It must have gone on for a while since we saw Jeff getting antsy.

I like this year's group for the most part. They don't seem to be actor/model wantabe's this time around.

So, answer a question for me. I've been out of town for the last week. Was there a decision made not to post before the West Coast got to view the show? We used to post as the show was going and afterwards, lots of people chiming in. Now it's not so.

Yeah, Brandon is definitely obsessed with Mikayla and he's really showing his weaknesses. I'm actually surprised he didn't just come out and say to her that she was bewitching him! And I was thinking, good for her for confronting him head-on. Too bad she didn't get to know the real reason he wanted her out.

I was thinking the same thing about Coach!! When he gave a look and eye roll about Semhar's poem, I was thinking, wow... this is Coach! The guy who would talk dragonslayer talk and came off as really out there.. and he thinks some of THESE people are crazy!!! That really does say something!!

Sad to say, the one I am rooting for right now is Coach. I do think there are other possible people to root for -- Sophie is another one that comes to mind, as does Albert -- but as of yet, they aren't getting a lot of face time.

I feel that the two on Ozzy's team, the one he confided in and the girl that the confidee told about the idol, missed a good chance to take out Ozzy. I noticed on next week's clips that the Weed guy and Cochran are talking about taking him out.

:happytv:I have a hard time picking a favorite in the beginning of any new reality show. I think you can tell who gets far by how much face time they get. Does anyone know if Jeff is doing a blog this year. I looked for it on line but didn't find anything current. I look forward to his opinions and comments

I agree. Ozzy has the idol so why not try and get him out.

I also think this season is lacking something. ho-hum -- the teams are folowing the leads of Ozzy and Coach. I can hardly stand to watch Brendan with his "demons" and "temptations". Poor Mikayla. I am sure it would make her skin crawl to know the real reason Brandon wants her out. I hope this season improves.

Jeff does not have a blog this year (he didn't last season either). He now uses his time to Tweet during the episode as it airs and does a short Q & A with EW each week.

I like reading his tweets duri g the show and watching him answer questions during commercials

Great behind the scene answers

Wow - can't believe I'm the first to post after last night's episode; usually I'm late to the party.

I have no idea why they voted Stacey out. Makes no sense to me, unless there was a lot we didn't see behind the scenes - Stacey didn't get much face time until yesterday's episode. I knew they wouldn't vote Edna out - whenever they spend a lot of time showing the others saying how annoying someone is, you know that person won't get voted out.

I still wish they'd gotten rid of Brandon while they had the chance. yes, he's strong, but he's such a whacko, you never know when he'll go off the deep end. Unless they're using the strategy of keeping him around until the very end, figuring there's no way the jury would vote to give him the $1M.

Otherwise, kind of a ho-hum episode. Although the RI duel was something - Christine came out like gang busters! She's a lot tougher than I originally thought.

Did you see the preview for next week's challenge? YUK!!!
