Exactly. Russ didn't outmanuever Rob. Rob had the correct strategy and Tyson took himself out of the game by not sticking to the plan. Tyson realized it at the end. He didn't swap alliances or anything like that, he was just trying to avoid a tied vote and it ended up costing him. What Russel did do was make a really risky move that ended up working this week. Will it keep him in the game past the next vote? I don't know but it will be interesting to see.

For Russell to be the "greatest Survivor ever" he needs to start winning some of the challenges. He really doesn't perform well on them!

Disagree completely with both of these. Russ did outmanuever Rob. Rob's strategy was dependent on people following the plan he laid out. Russ found a crack in that plan which was Tyson's stupidity and took advantage of it.

And for your second point, it is exactly because Russ doesn't win any challenges that he is the greatest ever. He's a master, master, master manipulator who has an amazing feel for when people are bs'ing him and when they're trying to pull one over on him.

OMG you are so right about Russell puffkin. Rob shouldnt have said one word to Russell. Tyson blew it and he even admitted it at the exit interview. This has been a great season so far. I am still rooting for my hometown boy though.

We don't want to know that the "spoiler list" has been accurate so far especially if you are going to tell us that you will be unhappy next week. Sorry if I'm stepping on anyone's toes but that's just the way I feel.

I agree with this. All it takes is to know which posters like or hate any of the Survivors to know what "I'll be sad next week" means.

Yep. Sometimes I read 3 pages of the thread at a time and you can easily tell who certain people are rooting for.

I like almost everybody that's left on Survivor, so I don't think my comment was obvious at all

I'm having trouble seeing how Russell outsmarted Rob based on what they showed on TV. Rob figured out exactly what Russell was going to do if he had the idol and covered both Russell playing it himself or giving it to Parvati. So, he arranged to have 3 votes for Russell and 3 for Parvati. Even if Russell figured out Rob's plan, I don't remember seeing anything that would have told Russell who exactly was going to vote for him and who was going to vote for Parvati. If Tyson was ALREADY going to be voting for Parvati, Russell wouldn't have been changing his vote, and Russell would have been voted out. Frankly, I think he just lucked out.

Unless or until he can win the game, I don't see how Russell can be considered one of the great players (except in his own mind). He may be able to manipulate some people, but in the process he alienates enough people that he's going to have trouble getting the votes in the end.

I feel the same way. People always post who they are rooting for. It's not a stretch to see someone post they will be sad next week and have a good idea who they are talking about.

I can understand saying you don't like him - but give the guy his due.

he is a good player, but not the best. Rob is better, Rob doesn't have that narcissist ego syndrome like Russ does, Russ is good but his ego takes over, Russ goes around saying how he is the best, he is this and that, just play the game Russ, win the challenges do something other that talk to the camera. I'm not saying he is not a good player at all, he just think that the world revolves around him.

Thank you! I'm one of those people who like surprises, who want to see things as they unfold on the show and not know a thing in advance unless it's a day or time change. I don't want to hear spoilers, hints, innuendoes, vague information about what is going to happen the next week from other internet sites, people, etc. That's why I subscribe to this thread and not the other one.
