Surprising DH

Hi all!
Well its offical DH and I are going for our 3rd anniversary. I have the money issue all worked out. This is a surprise for DH though, so how do I tell him? Do I do it at x-mas or do I wait until the day we're going? Getting off work isn't a big deal since DH's boss's wife is our travel agent. I'm not sure I can keep this big of a secret from him for that long. any ideas would help and should I tell people or should I keep it to myself till a few days before. we're a close knit family. I'm going to have to find someone in the family to watch DS. Can you tell I'm just bursting at the seems?
PLus any tips for going in Feb. would be apreciated.

I wouldn't tell anyone else untill I told him, in case word got out and spoiled the surprise. I would tell him earlier, because anticipation is half the fun. Since it's an anniversary present, I wouldn't tell him at xmas. But for xmas you may want to get him something for the trip. I gave my hubby a trip for a gift once. I bought him a suitcase, and put all the details of the trip in it. He opened the present, commented nicely on it, but never opened the suitcase! I had to ask him to open the suitcase. lol. Congratulations on your 3rd.

For our Anniversary I took DH to Spain and I told him in a beautiful collage. I'm into crafts big time so it was easy for me to do. I developed different pictures of us on other trips and pictures throughout the years. I cut them up in different shapes and wrote on the cut outs in color markers in Spanish and I put a cut out of the country of Spain in the middle and left a spot open for the new pictures when we come from Spain. I put it all in a big picture frame and at the top it said, "For your 20th Wedding Annivesary and at the bottom it said, "Love Your Wife of 20 years." The picture of the country had stars on the cities we were going to tour.

It's hanging up in our family room still...that was three years ago. He really loved it. He looked over it and it brought back so many memories. Immediately he knew we were going to Spain. I surprised him a week before we were to leave.
