SURPRISE! Can we do it again? A November 2012 PTR!! SURPRISE !!11/1

wow, what time does school start at where you live, if you can pull her out at 9:00? I notice that you're in Central Wisconsin, too, and over here my DD doesn't start until 9:05. I must be living under a rock, because I didn't think that any schools started earlier than that ;) That would be such a fun surprise, and sounds like a great idea!

I live in Waupaca Country and Kadence's school starts at 8:00am. Next year the schools are changing times and the Elem will start at 7:55am and the High will start at 7:50am.

I think it would so surprising! She'd never believe it!

Great price on flights . Out of Milwaukee? We flew Southwest last month and loved flying with them (and I got a great deal, as well, before they skyrocketed)

Yes, we fly always fly out of Milwaukee. Appleton (close to me) and Green Bay are just too expensive. We usually fly Airtran, but SW had an awesome price. I am worried about our return flights being high when it comes out next month. I guess I can hitch hike back!:lmao:

When I was in school, we started at 9:15....Highschool was 8:50 ......my DD starts a 8 AM....ICK! And she is not a morning person at all.

When I was in school, I started at 8 too. Kadence does well in the morning, but can ge quite crabby when she gets home. Some snacks shoved down her throat fixes that!

Yay for adding another day! Goodness, how many days are yall at now? I can't keep up! :rotfl:

OH, I like the idea of sending her to school, especially in case she woke up on time to get ready for school anyway and wondered what was up!

I Know!:rotfl: We are at 11 days now, longest trip ever. Epic!

I like it too, she'd never guess!

OMG, another day?! I do think that it's a good idea to not have the party on your arrival day. I'd be paranoid something would happen with the flight and then you wouldn't be able to go. And I agree with what someone else said, it'll be more fun when you don't have to get up so early!

I'm just following everyones suggestions!(John......Jen....:rolleyes1)

I am glad we'll be there day before. We were delayed once and we missed an ADR, buit it could have been worse. If Kadence can sleep in, she'll last much longer.

I suggest not to rush with booking a flight home...wait for prices to come down......thats my theory...and I'm sticking to it...
But honestly. I have seen some great fall rates in the past from SW in Aug.

And really...who cares if we actually come home.....If I don't get a flight...oh well. :lmao:

Ok, Skip might grumble...but I keep telling him to come down, so thats his own fault. He still doesn't know how long we will be gone for certain. I have told him bits and pieces, but he doesn't listen anyways. He has forgotten the dates over and over for the cruise, so I give up. I did tell him we were going down early and staying after family left...and he grumbled a bit...wondering why we would need to stay there so long...we would get bored. Whatever. :headache:

I laugh each time I look at your dates...didn't this start out at being like 5 or 6 nights? :rotfl2:.....Mine started at 8. ;) now it's 12.

I won't jump for return flights unless it's a really great deal. But, then again I agree, maybe we'll stay! :lmao:

If he can't remember your days now, then he can't be too surprised when you tell him later that you've already told him, but he forgot!:scratchin

Bored at Disney?!?! Never!:rotfl2:

We're at 11 now. I think next must hit 12 to truly be a "BIG" trip!

ps. Here's the   :worship: :worship: that I owe you!

>>FREE DINING<<

Yeah, we got it! :woohoo:

.

How would you surprise her??

I thought since we will be leaving at 9am to go to the airport, that we should send her to school that day. Treat it like no special, then go and get her from school and let her have it! Maybe have a sign for when she gets called to the office!

Too much??

John isn't sold on that, he's thinking just let her sleep in and tell her when she wakes. ( too little..... in my book;))

What do you think??.

Personally, I think it's a great idea - because I had the same one! I am taking DD7 on a surprise trip leaving on June 7th (the last day of school). DH is driving us to the airport in Milwaukee. We live only 15 minutes from the Madison airport, but the flights out of there are cruddy. Anywho, we were going to need to leave at 9:15 for the airport, so I had planned to tell DD she had a doctor appointment that I had to pick her up for around 9 (school starts at 8:05). My DH would be waiting at the car with the camcorder going and a big Mickey Mouse balloon with a sign that said she was going to WDW!

BUT, Airtran updated our flight time so now we need to be on the road at 8:45. I still may decide to pull her out early instead of having her skip the last half day of school just so she can say goodbye to her friends before summer. But, she would only be in school for like 35 minutes! My DH wants to just skip school that day. I'm not sure how Kadence is, but Maddie never, ever sleeps in. She's up no later than 6:45 each morning. So, if we decide to skip school, I would just tell her that her doctor appointment is the reason why she wasn't going. We would still do the sign and the balloon with DH, but she would see it going into the garage to get into the car instead of at school.

So, my vote is with you!

Only 14 more days to go until 12 nights at Wilderness Lodge for us!

Planning is a big part of the fun, isn't it?!

~Marcia

That is soooo awesome that just adding ONE day got you FREE dining for the WHOLE trip! Congrats!!!

Yay for free dining!:cool1:
That's like the best excuse EVER for adding another night to your trip.
I'm hoping FD will be released to the public soon. Would absolutely love that seeing as we'll be at AoA for 14 nights.:rolleyes1

Yay! for free dining!!!

I vote for sending her to school, and surprising her at the car. I can't imagine a principal's office as the setting of a Disney Surprise!

Or, maybe even say she has a dentist appointment but take her out to breakfast instead and reveal there? or just go straight to the airport!

You're going to have such fun!

Maybe you could tell her you have to go to the airport cause theres a surprise waiting for her there implying you're picking someone up there.

Gosh I so wanna copycat your dates and do both parties too!! How exciting and awesome that you got free dining too!!:cool1:

I'm with you, I think sending them to school would be a great way to start the day! I could get the luggage packed, stuffed in the truck and we'd be ready once we got her out.

I like the appt aproach, then she wouldn't think it was weird to be called to the office.

Kadence is an early riser too, so now I m glad we'll have an extra day to rest up before parties.

I love the planning, it such a rush to get things done and raedy to go!

Have a great trip!

It worked out well!:thumbsup2 I was sooo worth it!

Everything fell together perfectly! I hope FD becomes public for you, 14 days could be A-LOT of money!:scared1:

I was so thrilled! I have everything how I want it now!:thumbsup2

Imagine a good little girl being called to the principals office!:faint: I think at the truck would be perfect! She'd freak!:hyper:

I giggles eveytime I think about it all!:lmao:

John thinks that's an idea, but I don't want to miss to initial reaction when she "gets it"! She also would drive us crazy for the 2 1/2 hours it would take to get to the airport!

I never expected to do both this year, but I'm so glad it happened!

:woohoo: for getting Free Dining!!!

And I like Jen's plan-make it like a normal day, when you pick her up tell her she has a dentist or doctor appointment, then SURPRISE! in the car! I would have loved that as a kid! :goodvibes (I think I'd still love it...)

Hi Carey! I was at Old Navy today and saw a tiered tulle skirt in the perfect Perry pink. (and of course thought of you immediately!) I can't find the pink one on their web sight, but I did find this one

http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=6066&vid=1&pid=896572&scid=896572012

The pink and white striped be cute as well.

I'd love to make one for you guys, but these would probably work too!

Let me know, like I said, I'd love to help you out. :goodvibes

 I know! It saved us almost $1,200.

I am working so hard to convince John that's the way we should do it. I think it would so fun!

I think she would expect to be woken up early again, so thios would blow her mind!:lmao:

I'll have to check it later, I'm at work and the schools filters don't allow shopping!:confused3

I'll get back to you later!

Just because I'm as excited as the childern in my district;

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!:banana::woohoo::yay::dance3:

It's the last day for students and I have just a couple of days to finish some things up. I guess that means more DIS time......:rolleyes1

How in the world do you get so lucky? DD has 7 more days of school still! Growing up (in WI), we always started the 3rd week of August and finished the 3rd week of May. Now that school can't start until at least Sept 1, school usually gets out so much later.

Enjoy the early start to your summer!

Yeah 2day was last days for teachers in my district.

We have staff meetings, and end of the year reports to run. I hope to be totally done by this friday.

They ( the school board) took away our spring break and Oct 4 day weekends. I and a lot of other staff feels we really need that Oct break to just get a rest from the begining of the year crazines, and Spring Break I think eveyone needs a mental break after the long WI winters.

We now start After Labor Day. I don't mind that, but I also like getting out early.
I'm in MN, and a teacher, and the kids go until June 7th- June 8th for me :(

My DD goes until June 7th. She doesn't think it's fair I'm done and she isn't. :lmao: It gives me time for Disney stuff without her around!

Well, a bunch had transpired since my last “Day” update, adding a day, free dining, and flights purchased ( to WDW, not back yet…) Southwest and Airtran will be releasing fligts on June 4th, so we’ll see. If they are expensive, I’ll wait. If not, I’ll be happy to have one more thing wrapped up!

It’s time to get back to it!:thumbsup2

Day 4, Sunday Nov 4th,

We should be well rested by now and up and at’em bright and early. I think breakfast in the food court at AoA and then on to rope drop at Hollywood Studios.

We love the rush to Toy Story Mania! John takes Kadence’s hand (wouldn’t want to lose her in the crowds!) and off we go. Usually we hop right in line and ride first, then get a fastpass for later. My goal this time, is to get a fastpass, then jump in line, then grab another fastpass, as soon as the hour is up. 3x in one day would be awesome as we LOVE TSM!

After that, whatever the family wants to. TOT or RnR isn’t a factor for Kadence yet, and for that I’m thankful. That means I don’t have to take my motion sickness pills this day! YAY

I know we be in line for the Phinneas and Ferb meet, Kadence was chosen to participate last time( as a hula girl) and I know she will try for a repeat performance! She’s not shy people!:lmao:

I do want to fit in The Beauty and the Beast show, as we skipped it the last time.

We have a 12:30 lunch ADR at Sci Fi, which will make Kadence’s day. She loved it last time and we enjoyed the food.

I think we’ll try Pizza Planet for supper, if not in the mood for pizza, ABC commissary.

Then more of whatever we want, then I want to catch Fantasmic. I’m not doing an ADR for seating, but I’ve decided that if we can catch a seat great, if not I have another DHS park day to give it a shot. This park is recommended for this day by Touring Plans and wdw easy, so I think this is our best shot for it.
Closing down the park will be our goal and back to AoA for sleep for our next early Morning!

AoA opened today, and from what I've been seeing it looks so fun! Our room, Little Mermaid section, won't open until Sept, but seeing the grounds and pool is great!
