SURPRISE! Can we do it again? A November 2012 PTR!! SURPRISE !!11/1

Are you a mind reader! We were talking to the MIL last night about next year, and giving her some idea of some of the things were could plan for the girls to do, and John said the same thing! This trip started off with 5 days, cheapest resort, and no extras.

We lost sight of that a while back..............:rotfl2:

I think next year will be fun to see Disney through the eyes of my niece. Plus all the birthdays and stuff.

:rotfl2: That's so funny! You can just say this is the low-key one, next year has to be bigger! ;)

Just wanted to say hi and I am enjoying the trip report

Morning! :wave2: Thanks more on the way!

:rotfl2: That's so funny! You can just say this is the low-key one, next year has to be bigger! ;)

As funny as it sounds, next year will be bigger for celebration purposes, and because we'll be bringing our niece along on her very first trip top WDW, but this Nov will be tops in my book!:hyper:

Good Morning! I hope you all had or helped someone have a wonderful Mother’s Day. I visited with my Grandma and since she and my Grandpa just moved into a retirement apartment, she loved the potted flowers we bought.:flower3:

We also brought some flowers to Johns Mom. She was thrilled that Kadence picked out her favorite yellow Roses. :cloud9:

I sat the rest of the day on my butt and read, which I seem to never have time for. I got some M&M’s( peanut Mmmmmm) and flowers and lovely hand made cards.

Kadence fell off her bike in the late afternoon and skinned her backside. Yes, my daughter has a bandage on her bum! You would have thought she took off the whole cheek the way she was carrying on. I didn’t offer to kiss that particular scrape... :rotfl2:

On to planning,

November 3rd, our first full day at Disney and we will not be heading to any parks! The late night before (MNSSHP) will cause us to have a sleep in morning. Also if we get the flights I’m hoping for the previous day, we will be up at 3am so combined with a party night, we should be pretty exhausted.

When we are ready for the day, we have a bite to eat in the food court at AoA, and then head to downtown Disney. Kadence, I’m sure, will have to buy something and John needs a Goofys Candy CO visit. Me, well I’ll see what I can find. I’ll for sure buy my photo albums and ship them home.

John wants to eat at Planet Hollywood, but maybe I can convince him to check out Wolfgang Pucks or Ragland road.

After the shopping is done, we head back to AoA and just spend the day at the pool which Kadence will love, and exploring the resort. I think it should be very cool to see it all. Just the construction pictures are so amazing.

I also planned this as a down day as the parks are being forecast as crazy busy that day. TP is saying a 9 on crowd levels. The rest of our trip looks great, so a down day seems like the best idea.

Early to bed and then the next day it’s PARK TIME!!:thumbsup2

I saw that the performers for the Eat to the Beat concert dates were released for Epcot’s Food and Wine festival. I showed John and he is over the moon! He loves going to concerts and during our stay Blues Traveler, Dennis DeYoung from Styx, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will be there and now John’s thinking of getting park hoppers just so he can got see the bands on non Epcot days. We’ll see, maybe he can go and Kadence and I will stay in what ever park we are in or go back to AoA and swim or relax.

Happy Mother's Day! Kathryn also fell this weekend...not on her bum though, she has 2 scraped knees and an elbow. Then she fell again yesterday and reopened the knee!!

A down day sounds great! I am sure you will have tons of fun exploring AOA!

I made all of our ADR's yesterday!! Got what we wanted...now just debating if I should book CRT and BBB. Kathryn is going to do BBB on the Fantasy (maybe even the super deluxe package bc she wants a pirate one, princess one and a mermaid one!!??!!) if we do that, we will not do BBB & CRT! I did book 1900 Park Fare though!

sounds great! DTD and a pool day would be lovely! Though, I'm with John, I'd be getting my butt to Epcot for Blues Traveler.

Maddie fell yesterday too! She fell (with her dad's help) in the elevator and hit her head. :worried:

I think a down day sounds like the best option too! I'm so excited to see pics and hear all about Art of Animation! I bet it's gonna be an amazing resort. :goodvibes

Oh wow, you're planning on a super early flight AND the Halloween party?! :scared1: I definitely think a down day after that sounds like a good idea, especially if the crowds are supposed to be high.

Holy Cow! The deluxe BB does all 3 looks?! She's gonna have a blast!

We've never done a down day at Disney so this will be different. I think we'll probably sleep till midday!:lmao:

John is so excited about these concerts, it's not even funny! He walked around smiling for a few hours after I told him!::yes:: He actually knows the Guitar Tech for Dennis DeYoung, so that's a bit of fun for him as well.

I hope Maddie's head is good!:goodvibes Kadence insisted on me bandaging her scratch again tonight. Weird kid!

I think so! I can't wait to see some TRs after it opens partially on May 31st!

Oh wow, you're planning on a super early flight AND the Halloween party?! :scared1: I definitely think a down day after that sounds like a good idea, especially if the crowds are supposed to be high.

We usually have to leave home by 3:30 am to be in Milwaukee for our flights. I'm hoping for the same time frame, and then we hit Disney about Noon. I think a nap before MNSSHP will happen!

It sounds like I'll get a little more sleep than you. :rotfl:

I did take some of the early morning time to work on my TR.
I also had to go house sit my parents again while the painter came to finish up. Then I helped my dad tear out carpet, which will be coming on Thurs...and guess what he did. He tried moving the treadmill on his own and it dropped and hit the newly painted wall and put a hole in it. :scared1:

I haven't even looked at the concert schedule yet. Where did you find it?

I did get your email...I just haven't responded. I've been in and out a lot the past few days..and busy too. At one time today, I had a client calling about a possible change, another ready to book and then 1 sending me an email about paying off her trip. another email about choosing a resort, and 3 emailing me about ADR's. LOL
But it was all good and fun.

I think as long as Kadence gets a bit of sleep, we'll be great. John's used to being up late, and I'll drag my butt through!:lmao:

YAY on you being so busy with TA stuff! I bet it's great to be doing something fun for work!

Last time I moved a tread mill by myself, I broke my toe after it opened up and smashed my foot. Poor wall!:faint:

Here's the link for the concerts;

I'm in again and can't wait for another surprise trip (and to support fellow Wisconsinites). We're doing the surprise trip this time, too and I'm having so much fun planning the little things that I know he's going to love. I should get a PTR going ..

Now why in the world didn't you pucker up and kiss your lovely little girl's boo-boo? I can't imagine why you wouldn't. :lmao:

Oooh, I've heard that the the Eat to the Beat concerts are good, especially the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy one. John's gonna think he's died and gone to 80's Heaven. :cloud9:

Flights are at the top of conversation between John and I. I’ve been talking with a few other Nov trippers and while searching for flights are coming across some crazy prices. I’m hoping to find prices around $250 per person, round trip. We fly early and non-stop so that helps.

I know Airlines do bids for fuel, so current gas prices aren’t really in play for them,(a lot of people don’t know that) so fear is a great motivator for tickets purchase so lots of people will jump to buy. I’m hoping after the airlines get some sales, that the prices come down. From what I’ve looked into, that by summer, fall prices should come down as Oct and early Nov are slower flight time and deals are to be had. Otherwise, we are going to have to learn how to flap our arms!

Just so you know if you book with AirTran directly through their site and the price for your same flight goes down, you can call and they will credit the difference to your account, so you could use it for things like baggage fees or future travel. We did that last year with our trip and got a $150 credit....

HI!:wave2: You should do a PTR, let me know! I like to support WI DIS'ers too!:thumbsup2

:lmao: Yeah, I ain't kissing her butt! Don't know when that things gonna go off!

John LOVES his music, being a DJ is his 2nd love (with me being first of course :rolleyes1) He does love his 80's though.

That's good to know! I thought only Southwest did that, but maybe now that SW owns AirTran...

We fly Mitchell Field, and early and nonstop as well, so I've always found pretty decent deals. I am crossing my fingers for 250 a person or less!

Your plans look wonderful to me!! Ahhh, I can't wait for a treat from Goofy's myself. YUM.

:thumbsup2 on the Hopper tickets! It's fun to hop from Epcot to MK or between DHS and Epcot.

subscribing and I'm enjoying your PTR. I really want to go back this fall, but I'm planning for fall 2013. Hoping to do either MNSSHP or MVMCP (I don't think we'd be able to get my DD out of school to do both :( ) and I'm also hoping to stay at AoA in the LM section!!

Thanks! I actually, (a hard confession from me) am looking forward to a play day. I think I'll feel a bit weird, not being at one of the parks.

I know now that I will be for sure getting a dipped pretzel!:cloud9:
