Hi - I'm going in less then 2 weeks, and I would like suggestions as to any final things I should do / bring to make my trip more enjoyable.

Also, any suggestions as to what to do on a 9 hr flight :-(

Thanks

I would definitely contact the hotel to confirm your reservations (same thing with vehicle if you're renting), make sure you have made whatever plans to store mail, also begin some of your packing (if you haven't started), make care arrangements for any pets.

Also, be sure you have all of your money, along with (credit cards or travelers checks if you are taking them) in order. Before leaving out for the airport, definitely make sure to double check if you have your keys and airline tickets, might want to check the status of your flight the night before.

As far as occupying plane time: how about bringing along a favorite book you haven't read in a long time, a WDW guidebook to read over again, and some current issues of any well-liked magazines.

As far as bringing along trip items: rain ponchos, snacks if you don't want to buy all of them once you arrive, cell phone if you have one, and paper form hotel/car reservations, swim suit if needed, comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, hairdryer, and misty fans if desired.

Hope this helps (and I didn't leave out anything very important); also if you have a packing list go over it twice to make sure you don't forget anything.

If you call your post office they will hold your mail for you and you can pick it up when ypu return, be sure they know when they can start delivery again. The newspaper should do the same.

When I fly I have a very hard time cocentrating one one thing for a long time so I usually bring a couple of magazines. Crossword puzzles help pass the time too. Also make a list of must see attractions to see while there.

My doctor reccomends that a 1/2 hour before the plane takes off the use of nose spray. I have sinus problems so this helps with pressure in my head. My doctor does not usually tell me to use nose spray.

Let a trused neighbor know that you are leaving in case of emergency give him/her the number you can be reached at.

Have fun!!!

Try to make priority seating for 1 meal a day before leaving home, especially if you want a character meal. This sure reduces stress when you know you have one meal arranged without a lengthy wait.
