Stupid SWA Ding Question

I downloaded the Southwest Airlines Ding program. But, in order to see the deals, I have to click on a little SWA wing icon on the bottom right corner of my screen. Do other people actually have a "Ding" that sounds (like, "You've got mail!) that alerts you to the savings? Or does everyone have to manually click on the icon to get the deals??? I wasn't sure if I did something wrong loading it up because I am not getting the "Ding".

Hi Maggie! If you are set up for sound, the SW "Ding" should play whenever new deals arrive. But I will admit, it is not loud. It sounds like the "Ding" that is played before an on board announcement when you are flying - like "DING - please fasten your safety belts."

Nothing pops up or anything after you hear the Ding. You have to click on the icon in your toolbar.

If you have your sound turned off like I do, there's a small letter that appears over the tail of the plane symbol.

Hmmm. I have my sound turned on. Maybe I just haven't been around when it dings.

lol, I don't think that is a stupid question at all because I was going to ask it today myself. I never hear any ding, even when sitting right here at the computer. I got a great rate last week by chance, I had no DING but happened to look at the litte wing just as the DING dinged. Peggie
