stuck on a ride?

Stuck on Splash Mountain right before the big drop it was pretty cool but it was annoying when we sat there for 30 minutes dropped then had to evacuate the ride right near the exit because it broke down again

Got stuck on Splash Mountain right in the "laughing place" part of the ride. When they are singing the song. It was almost an hour, and the song track never stopped. It was about 8 of us in 2 boats, it became one of those times you remember forever. "The Laughing Place" song became our joke till this day. We were laughing so hard, because it wouldn't stop. It was @ 15 years ago. It really became the laughing place.

my friends and I got stuck on the TTA in Space Mountain.....it was funny cuz we were pretty much alone as well.....it was right after you go in, turn, and then its pitch black....not yet to the Space Mountain lit sign, but too far away from the light from the outside to help us see......for 20-30 MINUTES......we almost fell asleep......but then got our kicks by taking flash pics of each other when we didn't know what was coming.....

My sister and I have the worst luck in getting stuck on rides. We have tried riding Dinosaur 4 different times and it got stuck every time. One of the times, we were right by the huge T-Rex head that is about to eat you. It's hilarious on that ride, though, because when you stop the lights come on and you find yourself in a huge warehouse with a few shrubs and dinosaurs that have incomplete bodies. It kind of ruins the effect.

dude, I wish I could see the inside of Dinosaur.....they do a great job of disguising everything in the dark!

We were stuck on TGMR at DHS for about 20 minutes right in the Alien section - my DD was not very happy.

My husband and I got stuck in the last room on IASW. It was never his favorite ride to begin with, and he still hasn't forgiven me. We were only in there for about 5 minutes, but I guess that was enough.

yesterday we were stuck in the Haunted Mansion for 10 minutes.

Our car was facing the clock that TICK TOCKS...and the shadow of the creepy boney hand that waves across....It was beginning to freak my daughter out after a few minutes so I whipped out my cell phone and started talking about pics we had taken on it.

However my husband and son were around the corner in the section with the KNOCKING door handles and screaming /yelling....I think hes permanently traumatized:scared1: ...no really but I think he is pretty put off of that ride for a while now....

Several years ago my DH got stuck "literally" on Star Tours. His seatbelt would not release him. The CM had to cut the seatbelt to release him.

We were stuck on and evacuated from both Pirates and Splash, on the same trip to WDW. After a solid 15-30 minutes of hearing the same audio track and having a good, detailed view of both areas, the two spots are not easily forgotten. Every time we ride these specific wet attractions, we cannot help but remember those occasions when passing those spots.

The best part was the behind the scenes routing out of the attractions - fascinating... :thumbsup2

Last week I was stuck on EE for about 10+ minutes. Like another poster mentioned we were stuck at the part where you are about to go forward down the big hill. We started rolling forward and then just stopped. :confused3 I thought I would have freaked out...I have issues with heights and stuff, but surprisingly it was not bad at all....I also enjoyed being in the mountain sitting there taking it all in. It was funny though because as well all were relaxing and laughing about it we suddenly jerked forward down the huge hill..we were all so surprised...in the end it was pretty funny!

We were on Gran Fiesta Tour when the water flow slowed down and then finally quit. We were only completely stopped for about five minutes, but going through a few rooms was sooooo slow!!! It was taking forever.

Also, we were stuck on Rock n' Roller Coaster for only about 10 min., but it was funny because everyone starting taking pics and the CM came on the mic and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, there is no picture taking on this ride." Everyone started yelling, "Then let us off!!"

Is anyone else petrified of being stuck on certain rides? Not because of the inconvenience or having to listen to the same music over and over. But because of some fear (that I have but can't explain) of being trapped in an area full of props and animatronics. My worry is being stuck on something immersive like Pirates, Haunted Mansion or Peter Pan and having everything stop working and the house lights turned on. I can't imagine being able to have the guts to be evacuated from rides like that, let alone having to walk past some of the show scenes. Am I the only one who feels this way? A couple of years ago we stopped in the Panda room in Malestrom with the house lights on for all of 3 minutes. It freaked me out enough that I still haven't gone back on that ride.

That said, I'd love to see pictures of Dinosaur with the lights on.

Just on our last trip alone (Dec 2007), we had two incidents.

My wife and children got stuck on Primeval Whirl for about 20 minutes, for which they were the last riders of the night when AK closed. They were up in one of the sections away from the loading/unloading areas, and had to be escorted down the catwalks by a CM when they were unable to get the ride moving again. I was waiting by the exit for them, along with four or five other families waiting for their family members to be 'freed' from the ride as well. I was only nervous because we had an ADR at Boma that night and the time was fast approaching. Luckily we made the ADR with about 2 minutes to spare.

A couple days later we got 'stuck' on the Jungle Cruise in MK. I wouldn't have thought it was a likely candidate for a delay, but apparently something happened on one of the cruise boats ahead of us and we had to stop. Our captain CM was really funny, cracking jokes for the entire 15 minutes we were delayed to keep everybody entertained.

Darkwing, my youngest child gets really scared/freaked out when rides get stuck. I didn't mention it in my previous post, but it seems relevant now that you've raised the topic. I don't think it has anything to do with the animatronics or props for him (of which there were none on Primeval Whirl or the Jungle Cruise area we were stopped in). For him, it's that things aren't going according to plan, which just makes him really nervous. I asked him recently what he was looking forward to on our upcoming 2009 trip, and he told me he definitely wasn't going to go on that Jungle Cruise ride again!

On our last trip (April 08) we got stuck during It's a Small World. Half way through the ride the boats stopped a first time for about 5 minutes. Then we moved a few feet and we stopped again. We sat in the same spot for 30 minutes!!! :scared: The music did not stop. It went on and on and on and on and on and on and on...:crazy2:

That was more than enough of that ride for the next couple of visits.

I was stuck on space mountain for about a half hour once. That was when I was 10 though. My mom still tells me horror stories on how she was stuck on IASM for an hour. The ride was "broken" but that singing still continued, and the dolls still danced haha. then when it was finally fixed, they had to go through the remaining rooms. She still refuses to go on that ride to this day. :lmao:

I've been stuck on Test Track once. The part just before yourn and go through the doors and head outside. There's a crunched Saturn Vue sitting in front of you.

Once on POTC in the big battle part in the middle of thee water for about 15 mins. It was before the addition of Jack Sparrow so the lihgitng was still brighter. You could actually see how big the room actually is.

And Space Mountain. We stopped just as we were going up the first hill in the tunnel. We stopped so suddenly my back popped. We sat there for about 30mins waiting and then they sent us through w ith the lights on. From that day on I haven't rode SM. Everything is waaay too close together it creeps me out.

The ride I would hate to be stcuk on would be Dinosaur, that ride freaks me out as it is. I can't imagine being stuck on one of those shaking platforms or with the Carnat. right in my face.

Oh boy lets see.

I've got stuck on...

Dinosaur- 3 times! 2 of them right towards the end where the guy says he hopes he finds the dino before security, and another time when that long dinosaur ( i think they said he was a herbivore and doesnt eat people ).

Haunted Mansion- Always get stuck on that one. One of the more memoriable times is the brides room and the part where you go backwards yeah, we were stuck in the backwords tilt back position for a few minutes. Not fun. lol

Small World- We were stuck at the end but still in one of the rooms, for about 10 minutes, I really really dislike that song now ahha.

Pirates- only for a few minutes by the scene where the wife chases the husband around.

I've been stuck on It's a small world before. It was only like a ten minute wait but it seemed so much longer sitting there with the song playing over and over.

Way back in 97 I got stuck on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride for almost an hour. :scared1: Luckily I had a bunch of friends on the ride with me in the cars in front and behind, so we just kind of talked the whole time, but it was starting to get scary.

When DH and I went last December, we were waiting in line for SpaceMtn when the ride shut down for 15-20 minutes... People in front of us in line even walked out. They turned the lights on and all the people from TTA were yelling and waving at us waiting in line. :)

Separate incident at Space Mtn ... DH and I were loaded onto the rocket ship, just turning around the corner to go into the little tunnel with all of the racing lights. We were there for about 20 minutes or so.

That said, we still rode Space Mtn. like 5 times that trip!

And speaking of scaryness, I will not ride Dinosaur ever again. Our ride picture from the last trip has me folded over into myself covering my eyes like a small child, lol.
