We will be going to disney the week of christmas for the first time with a 1 yr. old and I'm wondering if it is going to be hard to get around with a stroller and if we should just wear him. What are you takes on this? Any advise would be great

Hi - we've been there, done that. And we've tried it both ways. The advantage of having a stroller is you have a place to store your diaper bags, drinks, etc. And your baby will have a place to stretch out, nap, watch the parade, etc. Disadvantages is, you are dealing with lugging a stroller through the crowded parks, buses, etc.

We've tried our Ergo carrier with our baby, and that worked out very well. We traded wearing her every few hours.

If I were you, I'd bring both on your trip, and try wearing your baby one day and see if you prefer it, and if it doesn't work out then use the stroller the next day. Personally we ended up wearing her and also bringing the stroller every day. That worked best for us.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

We've also been there done that and done it both ways. I'd also recommend bringing both. Let the baby stretch out and sleep in the stroller, especially when you are at a sit-down restaurant it's nice to have the baby sleeping in the stroller next to you while you eat dinner. The carrier is nice for when you stand in line for rides and also while on the rides I always felt more secure with the baby attached to me.

I also say bring both. We took our 2 month old a few years back and the stroller was nice for her but we wore her on rides and when she just needed held.

I'd bring both. When I took my 13 month old, we used the stroller for long walks & naps, and the carrier for everything else.

A side carry in the Ergo worked great for rides. He could see out, but could snuggle in with me when he was overwhelmed. We rode Peter Pan w/o it, and I was afraid he was going to slip right out of the seat. The safety bar did nothing for him. I held on tight, but it was a bit :faint:

We took both, but ended up using the Ergo more. We actually left the stroller in the hotel a couple of times because we were tired of maneuvering it around, but it is definitely nice to have it as an option. :cool1:

I agree with everyone.:thumbsup2 Both is the way to go! The stroller for the stuff and the carrier for the baby. The stroller is also nice to give the one carrying the baby a break.
