I've seen someone post something about stroller fans. Where do you find these? And are they run on batteries? Do they come with misting system at all?

I've picked up a couple at our local dollar store. They are battery operated and have the foam blades, no misting. This will be my first time using them so I'm not sure how well they will work in the June heat but I guess they will be better than nothing. I've also seen these fans at Target, Wal Mart and True Value Hardware for prices around $7. These are also battery operated and have the foam blades but probably are built a little bit better and will probably last a little longer than the dollar tree ones. HTH and good luck!!!

I just bought one at our local grocery store for $5.99. It has the foam blades and clips on (runs on 2-AA batteries). I haven't seen any with mister capabilities. You can try e-bay, I saw some of the same ones like I bought a few weeks ago. They also sell a much more expensive one at http://www.onestepahead.com/jump.js...2&itemType=PRODUCT&iProductID=1372&change=117 . I have also bought several of the handheld little foam blade fans at Wal-Mart for $1 for my girls (ages 6 and 2). We are going to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg next month and I know we'll need the fan for the baby there. I get so worried he'll overheat in the stroller while he's sleeping.

A couple of years ago, when we took ds on his 1st trip, he was 16 months old. I had bought the battery operated clip type fan at WalMart (fairly cheap) I would only clip it on once he fell asleep to circulate the air.

Another suggestion that I will give that we did back on this first trip (it was the end of June, so it was hot.) I safety pinned a receiving blanket to the shade flap on the stroller. When ds would fall asleep I would lay the receiving blanket down to shade him and then would put the fan on him to circulate the air. It worked out great. I didn't have to worry about the blanket blowing off the stroller and he was shaded too. Now of course I could only do this when he was sleeping or he would rip the receiving blanket off the shade flap and rip apart the fan - oh well, while he was sleeping it worked great.

I just got mine yesterday fro one step ahead and to me it looks like it should be $5.99 not $12. It will work but I think I paid too much. Plus you have to have a screw driver to change the batteries which will be a pain at Disney. Just want soemone to benefit from my experience.
