Stouffers Mac & Cheese - how can I make it myself?

My kids love Stouffers frozen Mac & Cheese, but it's pretty expensive for the size tray you end up with. Does anybody know where I can find a recipe that comes close? I have made home made Mac & Cheese, but my kids didn't like it.

I made mac 'n cheese yesterday. Used elbow macaroni and generic brand cheese dip. My kids loved it. I just added a little milk to make it creamy and some black pepper to spice it up.

Stouffer's always taste like it has a little "extra spice" like maybe a pinch of chili powder or something.
