Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

I hate hate hate being skinny. Been that way every since I was a little girl.

I was as a child until my Mom kept telling me to think of the starvin Armenians. I had to help them out. Even tho I've never personally met any starvin ones or full ones I was in it for the cure. Thanks mom

Great update Lisa! Looks like you had a lot of fun. If you start something on the community board, please let me know. I don't always post but I have been reading along. :goodvibes

OK! OK! I'll admit it...I did laugh at the faces you were making (but, not at you in a swimsuit--I wish I looked OK enough to wear one and take pictures...between my bald head and my over weight self--NO PICTURES OF THIS LADY!!)
BUT, you do need a picture on FB!!! how about the one of ya'll at the POLY!

Hi, Lisa! I'm all caught up. Being off for so long, I'm definitely behind, but I'm working on getting to everyone's TR.

I loved your last update of Silver Dollar. That Christmas tree was so pretty. The more I see of the park, the more it reminds me of Dollywood.

And your waterpark pics are AWESOME! I love the faces that everyone is making, too. It looks like you all had a WONDERFUL time. I'll have to plan that for Mitchell and me the next time that I get to Disney, provided the weather is warm when we go!

John said his parents always encouraged them to clean their plates which I think is a bad rule to start. I never did understand that. If I am full, I am full. I don't care if there is one little bite left on the plate. I ain't eating it if I am already stuffed.

I have been thinking of names for a community board thread. If you guys have suggestions, let me know. I want all of us to continue talking.

Just keep thinking I was kidding. It will be that other shoe trick. When will it fall?

Ooooh, you evil woman you!

See, I told you that you'd laugh. It's okay. I wouldn't have posted the pictures if I didn't want ya'll to see them. I tried to upload a picture to Facebook the other day and the darn computer shut down. I'll try again later today.

I want to get the rest of my waterpark day posted and then post more Silver Dollar City pictures too.

I don't know what's wrong with me. I haven't even shared my good news. I think we have talked Mama into going to Walt Disney World with us!

John and I have been trying to get her to go every year. She went once in 2000 but we stayed offsite. We want her to go and experience staying onsite.

I talked with her for about an hour last night and she insists on getting her own room if she goes.

Mama is supposed to pick Hunter up from school today and he said he was "going to work on Mamaw". Meaning, he'll try and convince her to go maybe even beg and plead with her.

Now, I guess I'll have to start that pre-trip report thread so I can pass along all the details. Hum? What am I gonna name it?

Commuity board thread

I have been thinking about it too!

something about:
do you talk about your best(dis) friends every day and have yet to meet them face to face
or
disney, ghost, life, and freinds we have yet to hug...

that is some of the topics that have gone through...just don't know how to phrase?!?

That is totally awesome about your mom maybe going. I hope she does!!!

You could name your PRE-TR: Returning to the Magic: Will Mamaw come along this year?

or

Dragging Mamaw by the ear - going to Disney May 2010!

I totally agree with you, Ginny. I like putting Mamaw in the title! (see above)

I have not told my parents, yet...mainly cause I don't know what's up...

but, I'm so happy that she will be going along...a little Disney magic for momma too!:yay::yay::yay:

I figure ya'll have had a couple of hours to stop laughing and are probably in need of a mid-afternoon sampling of a trip installment. And, I'm ready to start sharing again.

Once we had done Crush n Gusher a couple of times, we were ready to see what else we could do. When we went to Typhoon Lagoon in 2007, we never even made it over to the left side of the park.:confused3 So, we set off on a walk around the park. It was a little after Noon and we passed several people carrying some tasty looking food. We all looked at each other and commented on how hungry we were getting too. I know that we stopped and did a couple of more things but for the life of me, I can't remember what they were. I do remember we were having a great time though.;)

The park was getting pretty crowded by this time and we were getting hungry so we decided to hit the slides a few more times and then go back to the resort for lunch. But, before we got back to the storm slides, we ran into the family raft/tube ride. I can't remember the name right now. We got in the line and realized it was pretty long but, we were already there and we weren't getting out. We watched the people come down and saw that John wasn't the only one who flipped backwards. Made him feel a little better knowing he wasn't alone.

After about a 20 minute wait, we finally managed to make our way to the top and we were slip-sliding! Here's a picture of our family on the raft:

Once we had done the family water ride, we decided to go collect our stuff and go back to the CBR. The park was really crowded by now and we had done just about everything anyway. Yes, we skipped the wave pool and the shark reef. I don't like the wave pool at all. And, the shark reef was busy every time we walked by it.

We pulled everything out of the locker and went to the shower/changing rooms. Lacey and I showered off a bit and changed into our clothes. John and Hunter took 900 and 50 forevers. Lacey and I got so tired of standing around that we sat down on the ground near the lockers. After about 20 minutes, Lacey went to search for them. They had come out of the building and went to the other side. Why they went over there I don't know. I mean how did they think we were going to see them? Men!

Anyway, we made our way to the front of the water park and, as soon as we stepped out of the turnstiles, we saw a CBR bus stopped at our bus stop. Lacey wanted to make a run for it. John told her she better not. You'll remember he hates seeing people running to the bus. Just can't stand it.

So, we took a seat in the little bus stop and Lacey texted some of her Mission friends. About 15 minutes later, another CBR bus pulled up and we were on our way back to the resort. We got off at the Old Port Royale bus stop and I ran to the room to drop off our bag. We were starving and wanted to get some food in our tummies ASAP.

***Interruption: Clients just came in and I need to type something up for them. I'll be back!

We walked into the CBR food court and were pleased to see that it wasn't too busy. There were quite a few empty tables so we wouldn't have a problem finding a place to sit.

Hunter wanted pizza. I swear the boy could live off of pizza, fries and burgers. The way I look at it is at least he is eating. He used to eat like a little bird. Lacey got a pizza as well. I got a chicken caesar salad and John got a reuben sandwich. For desserts, we had fresh fruit, a brownie, a carrot cake and a key lime pie. We didn't want to eat too much because we had reservations at Chef Mickey's that night and then we were headed to Cirque de Soliel

Speaking of Cirque de Soliel, I totally forgot to mention that before we went to the water park, I went to the concierge desk in Old Port Royale and purchased the tickets. The castmember was very friendly and helpful. She helped me pick out seats in the Category 2 price range and I was out of there in about 10 minutes.

Back to this installment.

It's been so long ago that I started the trip report that you'll probably not recall that John had problems figuring out how many boys and how many girls would be in the Mission Program for 2009-2010, who was going to be staying in the apartment with Lacey, who she would have to share a room with, etc. He constantly asked her but then would forget and have to ask her again.

Well, guess what, he asked her again at lunch. It was one of those "you gotta be kiddin' me" moments. We had only been to Lacey's apartment complex two times since she moved to Georgia. John couldn't remember the layout of the apartments. So, Lacey took pieces of food and laid them out on the table. The food tray was the entire apartment complex. A napkin opened up was Lacey's apartment. The cake and the key lime pie represented the two bedrooms in her apartment. Grapes were used as people. By the time she had it all laid out, we were laughing and people were looking at us strangely. We get that a lot! :rolleyes1 Something that somebody said hit me funny and I couldn't stop laughing. I was able to eek out "stop making me laugh or I'll pee my pants". Did they stop? Absolutely not. :sad2:

Once John finally had it all right in his head, we picked up the desserts and started eating them. Since we didn't want to be stuffed to the gills, we saved the cake and most of the fresh fruit.

Do you know that I didn't take a single picture of our food or the food court? I left the camera in the room when we went to the water park and didn't pick it up when I took our bag back to the room.

I've told you before that it's really hard for us to just sit on our keesters and do nothing while on vacation. I bet we weren't in our room 10 minutes before we started asking each other if we wanted to go do something. Something like......renting a surrey bike. We had done this on previous vacations at the CBR and thought it was fun. I grabbed the camera and we took off for the marina.

We immediately noticed that it was getting cloudy out but still wanted to take our chances. I took pictures on our way to the marina:

John reached the desk first and was behind another couple who had absolutely no idea what they wanted to rent. I took pictures while we waited:

The next two are a bit fuzzy. Don't know what was up with that other than maybe I didn't know how to operate the new camera. Yeah, let's go with that excuse. ;)

Love, love, love the raft picture. I just want to know if the grapes were people how many did you canibals eat? That pic of Lacey and Hunter looking at the sky is so funny. Like the weather people here do to determine what we will get. Ya think it will rain for just be cloudy? Na, the rain is about (stick up licked finger here) 2 hours away yet. I love Ozark Hillbillies.

Lurker Here....

Hooray for another post ! Sounds like you had fun at the waterpark. I've never been to either one. :thumbsup2

Fun family photo on the raft!

I can't wait to see what you've got for lunch on this day.

I wish I had remembered to take my camera into the food court so I could have taken pictures of the food. What would have been even better is if I had a picture of Lacey's layout of their apartment complex.

We were all twisting and turning trying to get the raft facing the photopass photographer. I was surprised that it turned out well.

Well, us canibals only ate about half the grapes. We saved the rest for morning.

Seriously, Lacey and Hunter were trying to forcast whether or not it would rain on us. Ya'll have Ozark Hillbillies. We have Louisiana rednecks.

Well howdy! I love hearing from lurkers. We did have a great time at the water park. For years and years, we went to Disney and never even went to their water parks. But, after we tried it, we were surprised how much fun it was.
