Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Lisa,
the Lost Sea is in Sweetwater TN--which is in between Chattonooga (sp) and Knoxville/Townsend TN here is the link
http://www.thelostsea.com/

Gwendolyn was a very small when we went but it was nice...I love caves, but have a hard time talking Danny into things like that...I don't know why he likes things of that sort he usually just wants to get where we are going or home!

Thanks for the link. I need to check it out. Lacey is on her way to Tennessee right now. I need to ask here the name of Jesse's hometown again and see if it's anywhere closeby.

Wow...last time I logged in was on the 14th...good grief.

I just got caught up and am very much enjoying your Branson and Silver Dollar City trip report and photos. That cave looks scary! I'm enjoying the photos because I don't think I'd ever be able to actually go through it myself! Definitely because of the claustrophobia, but also because I'd be afraid I'd drop my camera in one of the deep holes and would never see it again! :lmao:

Goodness gracious! We've done some talkin' since you were last on here.

I'm glad that you are enjoying the Branson report. We had a lot of fun. I'm not claustrophobic but I am scared of heights. I didn't worry about my camera being dropped because I had the strap wrapped around my wrist.

I'm only on page 3, but I love your TR so far- thanks!!! :)

First of all, welcome to the Disboards!

Second of all, I'm glad that you are enjoying my report. I also have a few other trips that we've taken that I've written about.

Please please feel free to chime in at any point in time. We have all grown to be quite good friends and welcome more!

Did you know that As The World Turns has been cancelled (last showing is September 2010)? My mother started watching that when she was pregnant with me and I watched it when I was pregnant and at home with both boys when they were first born.

My mom and I used to listen on the radio (before tv) to Guiding light and As the World Turns. I knew Guiding Light had been off for a while and read ATWT is going off. Makes me sad. I haven't watched in years. I got home from work about 1. Went to the grocery store and Day of Our Lives were on. Same people as 20 years ago. Probably same story line.:rotfl2:

You did just fine on the cave Lisa. I really haven't done it in about 6 years. Isn't it amazing when things are in your back yard how you treat it? They really do a nice Christmas program. I LOVE me som Fire in the HOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I compare big thunder to Thunderation tho. I hope you did it too. I've never seen what happens on it. I've always kept my eyes closed but I've ridden it over 100 times. I have no problem with FITH because it's all in the Dark. What you can't see can't hurt you.

Days is the one I watch off and on, and I swear so many old characters have come back. But I can't remember why they left before. LOL!

:bday:party::cake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY :bday:party::cake:

Sorry I'm so late:sad2:. I don't know how I missed it.

I love your cave pictures. You are a very brave woman :worship:. I would be sitting there with your Mom waiting for ya'll to get back from the tour. I don't like the idea of being underground. I swear John and Dale are brothers. I wake him up too when he falls asleep somewhere so he doesn't start snoring .

Have you started your PTR for May? I know you have started the CBR thread, but what about your trip? I would love for all of us to meet up for lunch or dinner. Have you made ADRs?

OK, is it just me or does the white clouds, mixed in with the orange, look like men riding horses? And what's up with that orb? You and Connie have those things following you around everywhere you go :lmao:.

Happy New Year to you, Lisa, and your beautiful family. Thank you for your friendship.

Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family Lisa. I am thankful for what your friendship has meant to me. May you have a joyous and successful 2010.

I was able to catch the last of Bold and the Beautiful and most of As the World Turns. It was nice to just sit back and relax.

I used to watch these shows years ago but not much now, I am a Y&R and major GH fan, sometimes DAYS.

That's too bad ATWT is being cancelled. The guy that plays, I think it is Jack (Michael Park) is originally from around here, not far from where I live anyway (Canandaigua, Ny) I am a Home Health/Hospice Nurse and I have visited a lady who lived on his street and she told me about him ("Oh he was such a nice boy") and I saw his grandfather once too. They had soap opera books all over with his picture on the front...

Happy New Year!

We went to see a great fireworks show at midnight at the racetrack nearby (horses not cars!) they can't do fireworks for 4th of July because it scares the horses

Lisa, I have been talking to Leanne, Mary and Becky about all of us getting together for a GG event while we are all at Disney. I found some information I sent to Leanne, Becky and Mary. Becky said she didn't think she could do it because she will have other family members in her goup.

This is the information I found:

Good Morning Gathering

A breakfast event at Tony's Town Square Restaurant. Guests are escorted from the front gate of the Magic Kingdom and served by Tony and other Disney characters. Included is some one-on-one time with Mickey Mouse and reserved seats to experience Mickey's PhilHarmagic after breakfast. The Good Morning Gathering experience is available on selected mornings at the Magic Kingdom. Adults (10 and older) $39.99, children (ages 3-9) $19.99.

Magical Fireworks Voyage

This dessert party is hosted by Captain Hook and Smee and is followed by a cruise of the Seven Seas Lagoon to view the fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant. The evening concludes with a telling of the Peter Pan story, and Peter Pan greets your group upon return. The Magical Fireworks Voyage experience is available seasonally on selected evenings on the Seven Seas Lagoon near the Magic Kingdom. Adults (10 and older) $34.99, children (ages 3-9) $19.99.

I don't know how interested in APs you are, but they came out with some AWESOME rates for AP holders today:banana::woohoo::yay:. Let me know what you think about the GG.

Happy new year! party:

Hope you're having a good first day of 2010. I decided as I was looking at your Siver Dollar City pictures that I don't think I could do a cave tour. I just think it would give me the willies. I have to admit, I'm a bit of a weenie when it comes to that kind of thing. The pictures of all of the different rock formations were interesting, though!

If you're looking into a Grand Gathering event, we did the pirate fireworks cruise in 2007. It was great - when we did it, we met at the Contemporary and had snacks, and then Captain Hook and Mr. Smee came in. The character interaction was great! The cruise itself was fun, too - and you get to see the water pagent as well as Wishes without any fuss in terms of crowds. It's something to think about. You might want to check things out, though - I was pretty sure that I heard on the podcast that this is now something that anyone can book, and that it's now quite a bit pricier than it was. It was worth it at the prices racefanof88 quoted, though! I don't think we're doing a Grand Gathering event this time, even though we have 16 people. We really wanted to do the Illuminations dessert party until we realized that it's also a full meal, and well over $50 per person. My group just won't get into that! The two that she wrote about seemed like more reasonable prices.

It is for everyone. I have actually looked at it a couple of times, but it is really pricey...over $50 an adult and I think 30 something for kids. And the desserts sound kind of crappy, like pretzels and stuff. If the desserts were really good, I think the money would be more worth it.

Happy New Year, Lisa!!!

I hope you and your family had a nice Christmas. Happy belated Birthday also, hoping it was a good one!:thumbsup2 I will be back later to catch up!!:goodvibes

Good evening.

Sorry to interrupt but a few of you followed the link in my siggie to my trip report and I wasn't sure how to inform you that the DIS lost it. Yes, that is right, my trip report is gone! I followed the rules and asked that it be moved from the Pre-trip board to the Trip Report board and poof, gone.

I will not be doing a new one. I had enough blood, sweat and even a few tears in it from dealing with photobucket and I am not willing to do it all again. So thank you to those who did check it out and thank you Mickeystoontown for giving me the inspiration to even start one.

Pikester

Good morning everybody,

I'll come back and reply to everybody sometime today. I've been trying to catch up on my subscribed threads. I don't Dis much when I am off work. Just don't let my boss in on that fact.

I have had two friends call me this morning and ask me to help them plan a Disney vacation. Both are families of 5 so their choices are limited especially since both are trying to save a few dollars.

I hope that everybody had a fantastic New Year. We did nothing special....stayed at home, watched a movie and watched it pour down rain outside.

It's snowing here this morning which is a bit of a shocker since it was supposed to be sunshine but cold today. The snow is small flakes and it isn't sticking but it's still snowing which is not something we see every day.

Be back later!

We are getting snow too. Unfortunately ours is sticking! I hate winter.
