Any of you ever vacation in Mexico? Where did ya stay?

Ok, I'm sending it to you. If anyone else wants to see let me know. I should mention that part of the deal is I get a new couch. My country plaid days of the 90's are GONE!

I want to see!!

Sun~ never been to Mexico. It sounds like fun.

What a gorgeous house!!!!

Thank you Cat! I gotta admit I just called my agent and told her she made my house look really good in the pictures! It doesn't feel quite that nice in real life.

PM me too please!

Yes. We went to Puerto Vallarta and stayed at Villa Del Palmar. I loved it. It was small and comfortable with a great pool. We purchased the all inclusive option. Because it is an option and not just an all inclusive hotel, I thought they had really good food and drinks because they want to make people stay there to eat. Some all inclusive food isn't that good and they don't really care becuase you paid the price and that is that, they aren't trying to impress you to keep you from going out elsewhere to eat. JMO.

Also, there were lots of people at that resort with kids, in case you are bringing Abby too. She would LOVE the pool there.

So I gotta admit I have been too busy to look at the news. I am barely aware of this peanut butter thing. Is regular jar peanut butter ok? I just bought a huge jar of Jif at the Cash N Carry!

Nobody knows about this peanut butter thing?

Good morning girls!
:wave2:

We went to Riviera Maya for our honeymoon. It was awesome, but it was adult only so now we are looking for a family resort.

Yes. We went to Puerto Vallarta and stayed at Villa Del Palmar.

Xena - Your house looks beautiful! Why are you moving crazy?

Puerto Vallarta, heh? I'll keep that in mind for the future, but we are looking at the Cancun area. I'm pretty sure we are set on where we are going to go, still looking for airfare at this point.

Nobody knows about this peanut butter thing?

:guilty: I do not. I should though b/c I'm pretty sure DD eats a PB & J everyday at my SIL's house. :scared: So, when you find out, let me know!

Ive only been to Tiajuna to shop. We used to go to California yearly, when I was a kid - and we'd cross the border and go banana's shopping. :goodvibes Ahhhhh - the good ol' days. :thumbsup2

Do they have "Tiajuana-like" shopping in the tourist towns, too? If so, have fun!!! Man, it's fun!!! :cool1:

I dont know. I actually got rid of all of it (jar's too) until it's over. But I'm a worry wart.

Well, I've never been to Tiajuana so I do not know what their shopping is like. If you mean flea market type shops, yes, they have that. We went into Cancun one night on our honeymoon to shop. I didn't really enjoy it at all though. I don't like being hounded by people to come into their shop.

I'm guessing we will not leave the resort that much, if at all.

I want to do the swim w/ the dolphins, but it said children have to be 4'5". Abby is only 4'. It says kids are ages 5 - 11. What 5 yr old is 4'5"? My kiddo is a tall one for her age and she is not anywhere near 4'5" nor is anyone in her Kindergarten class.

So, I'm not sure if we will do any excursions at all. Probably just relax at the pool, the beach, sipping foo foo drinks all day. Ok, I'm getting depressed. I haven't even booked yet & I want to go now!

YoMomma - Can you PM me the email too?

Can we post the email?

I dont mind the hounding. You just have to ignore them. pirate:

This is just to see what happens, if we don't sell ours no biggie. See the house we saw that we made an offer on is bank owned, probably the builder went bankrupt. And we could actually move into it and have a smaller house payment if we can sell ours. The new house is much nicer and brand new. The only draw backs to the new one are it is 10 minutes further from town and it has a steep driveway that I really don't like very much. But we are looking at it like a money making opportunity and will probably only stay in it for 2 - 4 years.

Our QA manager at work sent us an email. When I get to work I could forward it to you.

I love your house!

Thanks! I want to see what is up with the PB thing! I haven't seen any news recently and I am clueless!

And thanks!

I know someone who did swim with the dolphins and they thought it was kinda not worth the money. We saw a video of them doing it and it was kinda boring. Have you done Sea World in Florida? You can feed them for a couple bucks and touch them for free.

Can I tell you how excited I am?

Danny saw a hoodie / coat that Oliver was wearing on Hannah Montana. It was all rainbowey (thats my boy! :rotfl: ) and just cool. It was like a black back ground, and looked like Neon lights drawn all over it (dont worry, Ill post a pic)

So, he was searching and searching and searching online. For days this went on. He wanted it SO bad.

So, he was gone Sunday afternoon - and left his search up, and I started searching! AND i found it! :cool1:

We didnt say a word to him, and it came yesterday and it - is - cool!!! He was absolutely shocked!!! :lmao: Jim was wearing it in the kitchen, and I told Danny to go in the kitchen for something. :rotfl2:

WHOOP WHOOP!

Good, it looks like my Cash N Carry peanut butter isn't on the list.

Thanks YoMomma for posting the info.

Cat ~ cool hoodie. I wanted to tell you that I found this old backpack of mine from when I was in 5th grade. We all had to do a sewing project and make these simple backpacks for a camp we went to. Each one was exactly the same except for a large patch that went on the front that we each decorated. Mine was a big rainbow. Yes, I'll post a pic when I think of it, but I guess I'm a rainbow girl too!

Yes - thanks YoMomma. Im still paranoid. I think Im gonna wait it out.

XENA - I had a 6th grade sewing project. It was to be a quilt pillow. We were allowed to pick out a pattern fabric, and a solid.... then in 9 squares:

#

It would go

pattern / solid / pattern
solid / pattern / solid
pattern / solid / pattern

So - I went with my mom, and got a BRIGHT obnoxious yellow, and found Mickey and friends fabric. And it was their faces, on white.... so I cut each square with their face in the middle. (Mickey was the middle square) And instead of a froo-froo lace around it - I picked just a real plan simple white one. Sounds cute right?

Keeping in mind, this was to be a creative class and I was ELEVEN - the teacher was TICKED!!! MADDDDD!!! I was supposed to pick a pattern. I did pick a pattern!!! :confused3 No, I didnt - she said. A pattern all over, like flowers, or paisley. :rolleyes2

That thing was so cute - I still have it too, and stuck it in both the boys cribs, when they were babies. It was perfect.

I barely got a passing grade on it because I didnt follow directions. :guilty: I came home crying. And if Im not mistaken, my mom may have called and went ape-poop on the teacher to get me my barely passing grade. :mic:

That is ridiculous! Pattern is pattern. She didn't specify how often per square foot it had to be repeated. Sheeesh!

Yo Momma - Thanks for posting the list. I'm too lazy to see if JIF is good or not. I know JIF is not on the list, but is it the manuf that is???? :confused3

Xena - Never been to SeaWorld. I'd like to do a separate vacation from Disney and so SeaWorld, Universal, and Discovery Cove one day. I didn't want to do it over Spring Break though b/c of the crowds. So, we are doing all inclusive instead in Mexico.

UGH! It is $600 more to go direct vs. connecting. Don't know what to do......

Cat - That is NOT a rainbowy coat. Don't try to rope your kid into your strange obsession!!!!
