Still Sassy after all this time!

Happy Friday Sassies!! Other then going to Carraba's tomorrow night for a late b-day celebration for the MIL I have no plans this weekend. I think it will be a curl up with a good book weekend. :thumbsup2

Bonnie~sorry Joe had to cancel. I hope his mom's condition isn't too serious! Are you feeling better? :flower3:

Judi~Sorry, but my MIL isn't computer savvy enough to send that email! I had to show her the other night that she could actually play Solitaire and Free Cell without an internet connection! I have no words for your pre-interview questionnaire. But at least it was good for a laugh, right? :lmao:

Becca~I'm SO jealous that you have a garden! Homegrown stuff tastes SO much better than that store bought crap! I guess I need to move somewhere that you can actually grow stuff instead of planting it and watching it burn up!

Tricia~glad you had fun at the game. I hope you like Up-bring some Kleenex!

Wilma~So when is the big snip snip for Wally? We have always had problems keeping our dogs calm and still after surgery, and they always end up ripping a couple of stitches! But fortunately they've never popped the whole incision open and the remaining stitches are always enough to keep it closed and heal. Good luck with your little ball of energy! And the tee-peed look is in dontcha know? ;)

Here's a hug for all the unemployed Sassies and sassy husbands. Believe me - I know how awful it is. I pray for employment all around soon!!

Julie - How long were you able to keep Atlas "quiet and calm" post neutering? I am thinking this will be an impossible task with Wally!

Wilma, Atlas actually did amazingly well with his recovery/stitches. I don't have any secrets to share; he just didn't mess with them or get them yanked out. Once his drugs wore off, he didn't really stay quiet and calm, but his stitches were fine. That was not too long after we got him. I didn't want him to develop any humping habits. The poor thing.... ;)

When does Wally go under the knife? Are you getting him tattooed? Atlas got that done at the same time and he even got a "J" in a heart under his license number!

Tricia, I am really sorry we weren't able to meet up during our trips. I hope we get the chance to again. Hopefully the rain let up for you. We had torrential rain just about everyday at some point. Most days were good until the mid to late afternoon. The lightning was bad. One night leaving Epcot, we were walking thru 6" of water!! DH had to blow dry his sneakers!!! But we still had a good time and did some different things. I just won't go in May again... How did the proposal go??

Here are some pics of our family...

Here are some more pics from our trip. First ones are from our lunch at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. My son LOVES to go there. The pics are of me and Mom and then my son with his "large" coke and then his "tiny" coke and then after drinking the "tiny" coke!! The rest are of him and some Star Wars characters.

Julie I love your pictures. It looks like you guys had a great time. So what's the story with the tiny coke and the large coke? I know they pull lots of pranks at the Whispering Cannon Cafe. That's one place that we haven't made it to yet. Well I still don't have any pictures to post. I'm not sure if you read where I deleted all my pictues while on the trip.:sad2::sad1: I did talk to my sister yesterday and she still hasn't uploaded her pictures yet. When she does I'll have some to post.

We didn't see UP on Friday but Imagine That instead. Since it was just Colin and I he wanted to wait to see UP with his sisters because they both mentioned that wanted to see it. Imagine That was cute, no crying so that's good.

Mark and Colin are playing golf this morning so it's just the girls and I. I think I'll take them to lunch then read my book. Have a great rest of the weekend you sassy bunch.

Maverick remembered from our last visit to Whispering Canyon that they had those HUGE Mason jars. So he asked for a large coke. Knowing that, the waitress brought him the teeny tiny one. So then he asked for a small (He learned the reverse psychology I use on him) and she brought him the giant one!! He had to pee the rest of the day!!!!

That is awful about your pictures! Hopefully you'll get your sister's soon.

That was really thoughtful of Colin to want to wait to see UP with his sisters.

How did the proposal at Magic Kingdom go? Details!

We have to clean out the Jeep today so we can try to sell it. Talk to you all later!!!

How did the proposal at Magic Kingdom go? Details!

The proposal went as planned. They had dinner at Narcoossee's in the Grand Floridian. During wishes they turn off the lights and the music is piped in. The manager had the ring and brought it out right as wishes was coming to an end. It was in a glass slipper and Anthony was on his knee when Ashley turned around to say how beautiful it was watching the fireworks from the restaurant. Of course she cried and the whole place cheered for them when she said yes.

Good Morning Sassies!

We are going on our first college tour this afternoon. It's only about an hour away but Kelsie would be staying there if it's the college she chooses. Another step closer realizing that my baby is growing up.

Howdy, Sassies! We spent the weekend cleaning out Mr. FofP's grandma's house and sorting through what does where. It went pretty well, and even though it is a small house there seems to be a lot to deal with. We found some great pictures, and Barney was pleased to take some of the books she used to teach her english class. He's a big reader, so they were always connected that way. BamBam was pleased to inherit a rotary dial phone - he'd never seen one before so now it's a part of this "interesting things" shelf in his room.

Today was the first morning of my 5am wake ups for swimming. It went pretty well, and the water was relatively warm per Barney. This is our last summer of 5 am - next summer it's 4:30! Yikes!

Bonnie - Sorry about Joe - do you have another weekend planned?

Tricia - what college did you look at?

Julie - your pictures are great!

Judi - I am still waiting for my email! I need a laugh, lady!

Angie - I LOVE Carrabas! I get some pasta-chicken thing there that I can never remember the name of. Tasty! Loved your patronus, by the way!

Becca - sorry about the Red Wings. Evil penguins abound - just as Wallace and Grommit!

Hi to all other Sassies! Hope everyone had a great Monday!

Hi there Sassies! I'm officially out of my post Red Wings loss funk. The new season is only a few short months away and I've never been a fair weathered fan anyway.

Julie, love the pictures! Keep them coming. I love the antics at WCC, the last time we were there we had a lame waitress and it wasn't nearly as fun. Love the small/large coke!

Tricia, what a neat way to propose!

Wilma, glad the boys got something to remember their Grandma the Great (that's what my boys call my grandma, she loves it). I remember how sore my fingers were from dialing a rotary phone!

Bonnie, when is pre k graduation?

Judi, can we meet July 25th? We will be driving up to the UP that afternoon or we can do it on the 29th if that will work better for you!

Angie, I love Carraba's especially the pasta weezie. Delish!

Meli, what's new?

Okay, now I have to get the boys settled in for their night of camping in the backyard. We'll see how long they last.

Wilma does Barney come home and take a nap everyday? Who'd have thought that 5:00 would be sleeping in for you? Wow, 4:30 is crazy. Now is that the time you have to get up or be there? How far is the pool from your house?

We toured SLU ~ Southeastern Louisiana University. It's a pretty small school of about 15,000 compared to LSU. Next up is UL then LSU. I'm not to sure that Kelsie wants to largeness of LSU. I think it's a personality thing. Kendall on the other hand would do well there. We will probably look at Southern Miss too. She wants to stay close to home but stay on campus and all of these schools would be between and hour to 2 1/2 hours away.

Today is haircut day again.

Hello out there in Sassyland.......................no one checked in all day yesterday since I posted early in the morning. I hope this means you were all out and about enjoying your summer. Kendall has cheer for 9:00 this morning then I'l head over to Walmart after that.

Colin's team came in 2nd for the season in baseball. Now they are playing the year ending tournament. The championship game is tonight and we made it to the finals. :thumbsup2 Wish us luck.

Good Morning

Julie great pictures.
Tricia, looking at colleges, may time just goes by to quickly.
Becca, you got the rain too? July is good, unless I hit the lottery, then I'll meet ya at Disney.

FoP, sent it, lost in cyberland? Carp, someone else is wanting that wonderful job. :rotfl2:

Enjoy the day Sass!es.

Hi Sassies! Lovely rainy, cool day. Will summer ever arrive? I almost pulled out the socks this morning.:scared1:

Tricia, I can't believe we have a Sassy with a Senior. I loved looking at colleges. I ended up about half an hour from home, but lived on campus. Great time.

Judi, great. We haven't decided what we will be sleeping in up there yet. Tent, popup or our regular camper, we keep debating so we need to decide before I can give you even an approximate time. I can't wait to meet the elusive Judi in real life!

All the other Sassies have a great day!

Howdy do, Sassies! I have begun my career as Wally's nursemaid. That's right, he's testicle free and not happy about it at all. He's such a feisty thing that he actually woke up on the operating table and they had to put him under deeper. It's that crazy metabolism of his, or maybe he was a junkie in his other life. Anyway, after that the procedure went well but he was pretty uncomfortable post op and they gave him a large dose of morphine which made him really disoriented. Now, he's home and he's figured his way out of two of those special collars that prevent chewing on stitches. I need a plan C, and there doesn't seem to be one! Every now and again he walks over here and gives me a baleful glare.

Tricia - the pool is about 25 minutes away so with changing time, we allow 30 minutes to get there. We leave the house at 5:30 this year and it will be 5 next year. We're getting used to the schedule, but I have trouble making it past 9 at night anymore. Good luck to Colin's team!

Judi - the email is lost in cyberspace, I think! You have the right address, maybe it's caught in one of the neverending cloud masses around here!

Becca - Can you send me Judi's preinterview email? Sorry about the Wings! When is the camping trip?

Shannon - Is everything packed? Are you at the MIL's now?

Gotta run - we have a summer league meet tonight and I have to get hopping. Hi Julie, Bonnie, Angie, Mel, Squid!

TGIF Sassies!

I'm taking the kids out to do a little shopping and lunch. I'm hoping to finish off the Father's Day gifts. It would be helpful if I knew what I was looking for. :confused3

Hi there Sassies! We had big storms overnight and I half expected to wake up to no power. Thankfully since Brian made sure the generator was in working order our power stayed on. Another round is coming for this afternoon.

The saga that is Brian's dad's recovery continues. He went back to the hospital last Friday to drain fluid that had accumulated around his lungs, he is still loopy somedays and now they think he may have pneumonia. Ugh!

Wilma, I don't have the email anymore. I deleted it. If Judi resends it to me I will forward it on though.

Judi, did you all get the nasty storms too? We may hit 80 for the first time this spring/summer today! That means you must be close to 70.:rotfl2:

Hi Tricia, Bonnie, Squiddy, Shannon, Julie, Meli and Kimmy!

Hello Sassies! We've been in a never ending parade of swim meets (4 meets in 4 days) and I am just now getting a break to check in. Oh, and Wally has kept me on my toes. He's not fond of the activity restriction, so destruction seems to be the activity of the day. He's definitely healing - I just don't know if the humans in the house will make it through his recuperation!

We have one more meet tomorrow and then I will catch up - although it seems like all of the Sassies are out living life! Becca, more prayers for your FIL - pneumonia is a common complication, but that's not much consolation when you are worried. You all are in our thoughts!
