Still Sassy after all this time!

If I ever moved from Louisiana I think Florida would be my first choice. Not only for Disney although that definitely has it perks, but the weather is just always so nice.

Congratulations on the move, your new house and your new jobs. What an exciting year 2013 will bring to you.

I've seen some of your house problems on facebook Mel. I'm glad you are getting out of there! Congrats on the move to Florida. If you are working for the compnay I think you are they are fabulous to work for. My dh works for a distributor of theirs and they are such a great group of people. Not to mention the incentives are awesome. He is always coming home with something for reaching sales goals.

Where are the rest of the Sassies??

Facebook? Hey I want in too. I'm going to message y'all my real name so you can friend me. That is only if you want to .... no pressure. :rotfl: Of course Tricia is my real name but you know what I mean.

I didn't know you were on facebook Tricia! Sending you my name so you can friend me!

Hi y'all

So nice to read everyone :wave2:

Okay, now that I have read the thread, here's my update:

Cole will graduate this May. I can't believe how much time has past. Tricia, your baby in 7th grade..no. Becca, the boys are not that old. Angie, how many fur babies? Julie, pass the weather, we're still getting snow. Mel,, glad you have closed on your house (this is Thursday night) when are you moving?

Yeah, now its a party! I can't believe Cole will graduate this year. Wow time has flown by. Where is our spring? Last year in March we were riding bikes, this year we have been shoveling snow. At least we haven't had any snow in a few weeks, can't say that can you Judi??

Judi has it been that long since we've all chatted? I can't believe Cole will be graduating next month! Are you happy and sad at the same time? Our Seniors graduate this year on May 6th. Of course Kendall can't wait because their last day of school is April 19th and then she officially because the "senior".

Spring has definitely sprung down south. With that comes the nasty allergy season. Pollen has been so bad this year. All our cars now have that lovely yellow/green film that makes you want to sneeze just looking at it. :crazy2:

School is closed due to ice and snow. Yes, it is still snowing up here.
Graduation here is May 24th, last day for seniors is May 17th.

Becca, still drinking out of Minnie cup. How many years has it been? Tricia does you coffee pot still beep? I usually don't get on the computer til after noon. Should we pick a time to be on so all of us can chat?

Happy Friday!

Yes Judi, my beloved coffee pot still beeps five times every morning to let me know it's ready. I can't seem to start off my morning without it. It's more of I love the taste than the jolt from the caffeine. My husband drinks decaf so I drink that with him on the weekends. :coffee: Of course it's all about the flavored creamers for me.

I can't even imagine that you are still getting snow. Clearly your town missed the memo that it's spring. Should I resend it for you?

Wow, my Minnie mug met a tile floor and didn't survive. I loved that mug. Is she graduating outside? We never have outside graduation here, the weather is just too unpredictable.

I love the flavored creamers too although I shouldn't because I'm sure they are terrible for me! I'm addicted to the Sweet Italian Cream right now.

Did we have chickens the last time we talked a lot? We started with 14, one was a rooster and we had an unfortunate heat lamp accident this winter so we are down to 12. We get about 10 eggs a day and they are fun to have around. We went in with 2 neighbors so we get eggs every third day. We also bought 6 quail this winter for Justin, he wanted a project and thats what he chose. They are not friendly at all, nothing like the chickens!

Just another tidbit from the world of me!

So does the Rooster crow early every morning and wake you up? I tend to be up before the chickens anyway so I would probably be OK. My kids on the other hand, not so much. They like their beauty sleep.

Please resend that memo Tricia, need sun.

Becca, inside graduation, chickens are fun an messy. What color eggs?

Tricia, when we had roosters they a-doodle-doo all the time, All the time. Bantams are the worst.

Coffee-black

He did cockadoodle doo at all hours of the day. He had to go live on my sisters farm since we have neighbors that probably wouldn't appreciate it. I did have a Silkie that was supposed to be my "pet", but she turned out to be a he too and he was awful! I will not have a bantam again.

Woke up to snow on the deck and roof. The joke can be over now, I'm so ready for Spring! I would take all your pollen Tricia if we could have some warmer temps.

Cole will love Wicked, I've seen it twice. Once in Chicago and once at Miller in Kzoo. I decided to save the cash and see a show I haven't seen yet. Miller actually gets a lot of great shows. Are you going too Judi?

Still snowing

Not going with Cole. She is going with one aunt, 1 cousin and one of her teachers. Well all are teachers, the aunt is not the cousin's mom. Following so far cause Cole's kindergarten teacher married Mr. Judi's nephew so now she is my niece and Cole's cousin but she isn't making this trip. So, all teachers take Cole to every college they can think of. They even took her to Chicago last year. If she goes there I can just send you the $12000 dorm fee. ;)

So, I get to go nowhere  Yeah right, Great Wolf next Saturday, wants I get you a room?

Tricia, did you send that memo yet, maybe you should make it a letter.

It snowed quite a bit today here too!

Well, my sister has never seen Wicked and decided she wanted to so I'm going! I received an email offer for cheap tickets so we are going.

I would love to go to Traverse City, but not for Great Wolf. They have so many great wineries there.

I could take on a boarder for much less than that. As long as she has a car we are only about 10 minutes from campus, but not in the city. I can't believe how much the campus has grown since I went to WMU. Brendan and I walked through it a few weeks ago and its beautiful. What other colleges is she looking at? Central is probably the closest to home and there is the Screaming Weasel, we could meet there sometime!

Angie, where art thou?

Tricia, has Kelsie heard anything yet? Still praying.

Becca, when are you going? Too soon to do the wineries. The snow up there is even worse than here. Great Wolf is only $159. I am frequent flier. Walk to Kohls' the mall is 5 min. away and Turtle Creek is up the road. We are getting a TJ Maxx here, well in the city by wally & Meijer.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Judy, thanks for the prayers for Kelsie. She actually won't find anything out until May 15th. Not sure if the hard part was the interview or now the waiting.

Memo :surfweb: to Mother Nature for all our northern states especially Michigan....In case it slipped your mind, spring has sprung, the birds are chirping, the flowers are starting to bloom and the snow needs to melt so all the kids can play outside. Enough is enough already!

Judi is Cole wanting to go far away to college or rather stay close to home?

Becca I've always wanted to see Wicked but haven't yet. I did take the girls last year to see The Lion King and that was fabulous.

I went to the casino with my sister-in-law on Saturday. I was way overdue for that. I really only go once every three months or so but it's been a while. Did they welcome me back with open arms? Big fat NO! I couldn't hit anything. Just sucked the money right from me. At least reel me in and let me have a little fun. :confused3

:wave2:

Cole does not want to dorm it. An apartment is a scary thought. Thanks for the memo, we have sun today and it is over 40 degrees already.

The laugh of the day: Got a phone call yesterday, graduation open house is not a good day for us (2) can you change it. :rotfl2: This was a real phone call. You cannot make this stuff up.

Have a great Tuesday, sending prayers to Boston.

Have a great Tuesday, sending prayers to Boston.

I keep checking online to see if there is anything new being reported. It's just so sad. :sad1:

Judy~Kelsie didn't do the whole dorm scene either. When we went to the college to tour the dorms they really were in bad shape. Very dark and in need of an overhaul. She stayed her first year in an apartment that the University owned. It was gated and right on campus. Her second year she moved off campus because all her friends thought that was the thing to do. After about a month of taking the college bus onto campus everyday she wished she was at the old apartment so she could just walk to class. We tried to tell her that but sometimes they need to figure it all out on their own. I'm sure Cole will do fine with whatever she chooses.

I finally have internet again. We moved on Friday/Saturday into our new place. So here's my long catch up :)

If I ever moved from Louisiana I think Florida would be my first choice. Not only for Disney although that definitely has it perks, but the weather is just always so nice.

Congratulations on the move, your new house and your new jobs. What an exciting year 2013 will bring to you.

The weather has been so nice here! It makes me happy to finally be some place that makes me feel relaxed in spite of stressful jobs.

I've seen some of your house problems on facebook Mel. I'm glad you are getting out of there! Congrats on the move to Florida. Where are the rest of the Sassies??

Yeah we had way too much drama on that old house. We had a lawyer send a letter to get our escrow money back & now we are filing suit on Monday if they don't respond. Its been stressful to say the least. I think I am working for who you think I am. They are a great company! Their benefits are amazing. The work is stressful but as its a good stress, its ok.

Cole will graduate this May. I can't believe how much time has past.

Congrats on Cole's graduation!

Spring has definitely sprung down south. With that comes the nasty allergy season. Pollen has been so bad this year. All our cars now have that lovely yellow/green film that makes you want to sneeze just looking at it. :crazy2:

I'm glad I left Georgia as my allergies are so much better this spring! Hopefully it springs over soon for you.

School is closed due to ice and snow. Yes, it is still snowing up here.
Graduation here is May 24th, last day for seniors is May 17th.

Happy Friday!

Hope it all melts away for you soon!

Glad you are getting lots of eggs from the chickens. We don't use eggs enough to justify doing the chicken things.
