Wife and I were on Wonder for Alaska cruise in June. We didn't have any noise issues, however, smoking was huge. Our stateroom, 8004, adjoined daughter's 8002 and the smoking area is on deck 9 above and slightly forward. While we are moving it is not a problem, but during our glacier day, while we are almost dead in the water, the smoke came down onto our verandah, our daughter's and our neighbor's in 8006. We complained to guest services and they somewhat roped off the railing up there but still the chairs and tables (with ashtrays) were used. Just before we were ready to leave, I smelled smoke again and looked up and several crew members were leaning over the railing, inside the ropes, smoking away...yikes! Called GS again. Next day we got a gift from
DCL which is nice but is just a Band-Aid. Why they don't move all smokers to the rear of the ship or in the engine room is beyond me.
