Kathy, I just wanted to send you some pixie dust. I too had surgery and Iodine Radiation for thyroid cancer in Feb/March '06. I was kept overnight at the hospital, so that took care of the first 24 hours. And then I came home where I spent most of the next few days in my bedroom to keep away from the rest of the family. I was a little stir crazy, but other than that it wasn't terrible. I read, talked on the phone and watched tv. Thank goodness I had some friends who dropped dinner off every night since I couldn't make food for others. Don't worry about the body scan, I brought my ipod and just listened to music since it took about an hour for the test. And the day after I took the Radiation pill I was able to start taking synthroid. So the tiredness was less within a few weeks. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me. Again, sending some pixie dust and saying a prayer.
Vickie
CONGRATULATION KATHY! I'm sitting here in tears for you Kathy! I hope all is going well for you and wish you the best, but I had to just say I'm so happy and excited you won!

I was so happy when I listened to the Podcast this morning. It could not have been a more perfect choice. My thoughts are with you for strength as you go through treatment.
